There’s a couple benefits to preferred camping. As you know it’s guaranteed lot 8. But where you get the most value is not showing up at 3am Thursday and the long security check lines. This was my second year doing preferred and have shown up at around 3:30pm and was through security and setting up camp in 30-45 minutes. Been going since 2016 and although they were great, I definitely don’t miss those early Thursday morning days.
I actually enjoy the early Thursday mornings 😂 it’s all part of the fun for me.
I’ve been going since 2013 but always just get regular car camping. Lot 5B was actually my fav spot due to the location….showers were close…toilets weren’t as bad as lot 8 due to less traffic.
well well well.... The PCT gurl is back! P=Party, C=Coachella, T=Trailmix (why trailmix? Because she got all the snacks) Gurl. 😂😂😂

Looks like you will have.lots of fun!! Put your water in like milk containers or square tubs and you stuff won't get wet and you'll have water to drink or clean up with and ice last longer.😁 thanks again for sharing!

Although I never used the ice for the water I was drinking 😊 I use the ice to keep my food cold and non water drinks cold 💗
I was just storing my water jugs in the cooler for travel 😊
Always only open the cooler if I absolutely need something so the ice stays around longer.
@Daisy’s life I grew up sailing and we always used block ice. It last so much longer.
Which is more fun PCT or Coachella?
Honestly can’t compare the two 😊
They’re totally different experiences. In 2019 when I Thru hiked the pct…I went to Coachella for two days but ended up selling the wristband the 3rd day to go back on the PCT.
So PCT won over Coachella when I was Thru hiking in 19.

usually delivery distribution places like milk companies carry it. It's actually very dangerous. I am a nursing home administrator and during Halloween I ask them for 5 lbs and it's also expensive

I usually get it at the grocery store right next to the festival every year…. But they stopped selling it and was trying to get some at other stores last minute 💔
Liquor stores were my go to dry ice suppliers.

was the check in intense? i can’t believe they don’t allow weed even when used for medicinal purposes and i hate having to worry about sneaking and the dogs….. omg was not expecting that! would love more insight to the inspections 😭

I did get sleep that night in the tent. 😊 I’m not great at sleeping during the day so I just stayed up and pulled a all nighter that day when we arrived.
Hi. omg im panicking because this is my first Coachella camping. How big is your tent?? Do I really need two canopies??

Two canopies brings more comfort as your car would have that shade. It’s not necessary though. I personally only bring one…it’s already so stressful having to worry about it flying away due to the wind….. I couldn’t imagine having to worry about a second one.
Just make sure to stake down your canopy’s and your tent. It would suck to come back to camp after a great time in the festival….to a messed up camp.
How big was your canopy ?
10ft by 10ft straight leg canopy.
