Your take on Karthus's lore is a lot like what I was thinking, he has a lot of potential to be a unique force in the Shadow Isles. Back when the Ruination event happened, I was so excited to see where they went with him. I thought it would've been cool if he started off supporting Viego and Thresh's campaign to spread death in a role kind of like Vex. But over time, he'd see their corrupt end goals actively oppose his philosophy (tormenting the undead spirits and controling them against their will, respectively). I doubt he would team up with the Sentinels but he could use his power as a fully sentient undead and his songs (which I don't think are used much in his lore) to help a portion of the spirits regain some of their control and turn a faction of them to fight back. This would help turn the tide in favor of the Sentinels towards the end of the Ruination and kind of show that the Shadow Isles don't necessarily have to be default evil, but are largely corrupted my Viego's obsession. This is just kind of a rough outline of ideas I had, it'd probably work a lot better with a team of actual writers, but I thought it was neat.
Had one in my game complain about me outhealing him. He complained about the champ who revolves around healing.... healing more than his one bloodthirtster... bruh
@@thelordofthelostbraincells I mean the depiction of the Gentle Death is well Thanatos who is the god of non-violent death's he essentially only has dominion over well people who pass away non violently, In Loving Reaper is a great modern example of that philosophy though.
Karthus reminds me of some iterations of Doctor Doom from the X-Men. While as a comic book character he changes a lot, basically Doctor Doom fully believes (and is sometimes actually shown to be right) that if he were to rule the world it would be a perfect utopia. The problem is nobody in the world wants to live under a dictatorship of a guy named Doctor Doom. At the end of the day, his goals aren't inherently evil or selfish, but the only way he can obtain that goal is be evil or selfish.
I've said for a while that Riot needs to make Karthus Thresh's rival. They should have been competing for influence over Viego, playing loyal while whispering their agendas in his ear. Even with Thresh taking Viego's power, there's opportunity for Karthus: to take control of the Isles while he's away. Within the Shadow Isles, he should be seen as a savoir who protects the souls and restores their minds so they can enjoy the freedom of undeath. This would actually create an interesting moral conflict between him and Yorick, who believes the dead should be put to rest. Yorick might see Karthus' followers as a cult, while they'd see him as a villain who wants to kill them again. And it would inherently create interesting dynamics between him and the other Shadow Isles heroes. Necrit would probably be on his side, Gwen would probably be sympathetic and open to compromise, while Maokai would probably be hardline against him. Ledros would likely even see him as the best option, but would have to weigh enabling Karthus to spread undeath against the chance of saving Kalista.
I would have liked it if Karthus realized Viego didn't want to bring people into the peace of death but wanted to revive someone. It would be cool because he would be behind the scenes trying to steal Viegos powers for his own end much like Thresh. But in this instance it isn't the same story but showing that even as Vigeo is now he is still being manipulate and used like before. And after his defeat we could have the black mist split between Karthus and Thresh who both want to use it for their own end. It would be cool because they would also be fighting for it.

I love how i love how NickyBoi hates Yasuo as much as I do, I wonder if he hates Yone as much too?
Humanifying Karthus only worked with lightbane, pentakill 2 is too much
I like karthus in aram, and thats it
It's always a struggle for me to pick between Pentakill skins, because the old ones have a better aesthetic, but the newer ones have better vfx and sfx (except for Kayle).
Side note, Yasuo may be unfun to play against, but I'd rather fight him than his absolute asshole of a brother
It’s karpiss
To me Karthus Is Wallmart Nagash ,like Really Riot? A Skelepope Undead Necromancer with a Skeletor Face?If they kept his skeletor Face, GW could have very well sued Riot Into Oblivion.
The only difference between him and nagash is that while he believe he is doing good to peoples, Nagash know he is evil but dont give a shit.
