It’s kinda funny, bc I’m also asexual but I enjoy sexual stuff but for another reason, I like the feeling, emotion and thought of sexual stuff not really doing it.
Her fostering a group of shitty demons though kinda makes sense for her because her goal isn't suffering, it's mass suffering, like apocalyptic level suffering, like the "gods" have to get involved levels of suffering. She "sponsors" demons in every corner of the world, feeds them and gets them stronger so they can spread suffering everywhere. Evelynn herself isn't strong enough to inflict this level of suffering on her own and likely will never reach that point but if she fosters demons she can spread more suffering probably still not enough to replicate that high from the Rune Wars but more than she'd be able to on her own. Her goal isn't consuming suffering but chasing this high, she'd get more suffering on her own for herself but that's not what she wants.
Evelynn as a succubus archetype is such a breath of fresh air. I’ve always felt they’ve been romanticised far too much to the point that it’s like “Yeah she’d eat your soul but at least the sex would be good.” Evelynn takes that image and absolutely shatters it. For every ounce of pleasure she gives you she will extract 10 times the pain, she only raises you up because she finds your fall all the more entertaining and she’s constantly musing more painful ways to torture you. Death at Evelynn’s hands is truly one of the worst ways to die in Runeterra and I think it works wonders for her character and image.
Yeah the whole romatization of succubi is a really sad. So often its just idk sexy babe with horns or something, maybe wings like yeah thats a demon. Imagine coming to this with more horror in mind, something Stranger adjacent, with someone who looks just like your exact sexual preference, but also theres something wrong, makes them look unhuman, not quite right

yeah, I find that a lot of people seem to think that asexuality is just another word for celibacy (at least, in the sense of just 'choosing to not act on the horny'), and don't understand that for (most of) us those connections just aren't there and feel alien to observe in others (as Nicky quite succinctly portrays at 8:21)

@@miZuZYN So from what I've come to learn is that asexual and sex repulsed while often overlapping are not the same for instance a sexually repulsed ace person and an ace person who still enjoys sex are both ace but they both lack sexual attraction, and there are weird gray areas and in-betweens such as with any spectrum but if you resonate with the title then use it there's no upside or downside to be gained or lost from it. As an ace person myself who went from completely sex repulsed to someone who can enjoy sex if its with very specific people it can most certainly change but it doesn't always.
Also, I think Eve's logic for going this temptation route to inflict agony makes sense. It's basically teasing the victim with the highest ecstasy possible and once they are on the precipice, she takes it all away inflicting the most agonising pain imaginable. It's going from the absolute highest high to the lowest low. Making the agony ever sweeter, and the victim absolutely unprepared for it, as they would be for just a classic demon hunting them down.

As an AroAce person myself, I think I fall more on the Skyen spectrum of things where I can very much appreciate the sexiness of characters even if it's not appealing to me specifically. I can appreciate Evelynn as a sexy character in spite of my asexual-ness and I quite enjoy her for it.
As an Evelynn main, I gotta say theres levels as to why I love this champion and they are not at all based around "she sexy" As someone who is into religious horror, demons are awesome. In terms of lust, Evelynn represents something involved in religious horror where seduction is the primary way they get you. Satan as a whole is a seductor. Evelynn's troupe of demons sort of reminds me in a similar way to a cult (which she even has a cult in the lore). She represents the humanity pulling demons like to do. Cults afterall seem like something easy to escape, right? Well, the catch is you usually are sort of, lulled into it. Of all the demons, she is probably the best at utilizing her themes and creepy abilities. "She's" even genderfluid. The thing with her design I appreciate is that the demon can take on any form it wants, and maybe sexy lady isn't always it. The tendrils I like to think are supposed to be representative of the flowy backs of fancy garments, such as blazers and etc. As for gameplay, hot take but I think she's actually the most "fair" assassin. I don't like playing meta or cheesy champions, and Evelynn's kit as far as most assassins go is rather basic and expected. While I get your personal distaste for her, I do love that you can still appreciate the things that make her such a good champion! (also side note: I once dm'ed you on Discord about this but...I'm so sorry what the toxic stan culture of Evelynn has had on you, and hopefully you don't see all Eve players this way)
Even as an Evelynn main, I find the word "Eve Stans" just upsetting. Then again, the word "stan" instantly leads me to think negative instead of positive.

My favorite part about Evelynn is, like you said, how her gameplay is exactly like how she kills in-lore. There she stalks someone, seduces him and then proceeds to eviscerate them in the most gruesome way possible. Evelynn in-game? stalks someone, charms them and then does like 3k damage. Glorious! Also, as a straight guy, I find her voice lines so oversexualized that it's just hilarious to me, like it's just ridiculously exaggerated, in a good way to me at least xD Plus look at her Eternals (the names), I swear all the censorship got thrown out the window with those, I love it lol
I honestly think that Evelynn's troupe of demons in LoR is even more special because they've explained that they all basically hunt prey that she could be taking and Demons literally become stronger taking each other out. This might make it seem even dumber for her to let other demons live but she's literally so stupidly strong compared to all the demons she *lets* live because they catch her interest enough for her to spare their lives and keep them around for her amusement. She's literally domming a whole group of demons because it's more fun to watch them squirm around and do their thing than eat them, despite the power benefits that gives. Evelynn loves what she does and that's just dope.

In terms of character, I do agree with your take that she’s a difficult character to take forward in the lore. I think the key thing with Evelynn is that she’s fundamentally designed to be static; she is slave to her nature as a demon, by necessity she is not going to develop in any extremely radical ways. Without pain, she cannot exist - she will literally return to not maintaining a consciousness. And that’s okay, I think. Characters like this aren’t meant to have their own grand personal arcs so much as they are meant to be the villain of someone else’s story, and that’s where Evelynn has potential to be compelling, specifically for Vayne. In LoR voicelines actually, she specifically praises Vayne for becoming a practiced killer, which I think is kind of a fun dynamic to have. The whole “oh we’re not so different, you and I” bit is kinda overplayed, sure, but in Vayne’s case I think it works; she’s a bit of a stone cold murderer at this point, and even enjoys hunting things she finds repulsive. I’d like it if they took that further. as a side note im consistently sad that kda is going to be what shes remembered for for the rest of time
I got so disappointed when I learned that Evelyn's LoR followers weren't herself shapeshifted :( As a fellow aroace person, repulsed by the thought of sex involving myself, but also interested by sexual content in art forms (drawing and writing), I find Evelyn such a cool and well done character on it's own and it's archetype. Her voicelines makes me uncomfortable as hell tho 😅
To answer "do straight people find this charming" from my perspective: in the way that an over the top evil villain is charming. Evelyn is so overly sexualized that it's just kinda funny because no regular guy would be like "yeah I'm buying this" unless they were down abysmally or unrecoverably addicted to sex. I have a friend that plays evelyn occasionally and the only time anyone cares about her sexually is when he's playing up the bit for a laugh. It is kind of funny to hear about the Evelyn twitter cult (i didnt know it existed) because those are the exact type of people evelyn would prey on and murder.
As a man, who's not asexual, Evelynn's voice lines don't make me uncomfortable, rather I find them quite funny, cause it's a video game character saying such sexual things and sounding so horny.
I don't get people drooling over Eve like she's a sexual being, especially since she absolutely isn't one. Maybe it's because I'm a woman, but for me my favorite thing is how absolutely vicious she is. Her talking about wearing some dude's skin after him telling her to put on some clothes, ripping off eyelids, pulling tongues out through necks etc lol. I get people finding her lines cringe or uncomfy, but I can't help but find them hilarious. The closest she can get to acting like a human is by talking like she's out of some 99¢ "adult" dvd from the smokeshop. The best ones are where she drops the facade, those can give me chills from the instant turn from corny "sexy" into cold-blooded monster that will "suck every last drop of joy from your heart." I never get tired of her.
NickyBoi feels uncomfortable with Evelyn because he's AroAce, while I am very uncomfortable with her because of my Algophobia. I know it's weird in a game where Darius smashes your head in or Brand melts you. But at least they don't TALK about it. Eve keeps talking about it, especially in Legends of Runeterra, and that really creeps me out.
A bit late, but I think a skin that over a second or so automatically shifts to the type of person her nearest (visible) enemy would be most attracted to would be cool - though still maybe sort of purple and with the unique hair and stuff to keep clarity between her and the himbos. Would also shed a lot of light on existing champs, those attracted to certain other characters, or the same sex, or both, while also still giving her that fluidity of form. And in a team fight with people poking in and out she could just be constantly in the shifting-fluid part of the transition stage.
I don't think Eve really falls under fear. She's more likely just a specific type of pain, and there likely is a primordial demon of pain, the way Fiddle is for fear and Ashlesh is for joy. Nocturne is the only other real demon champ who is fear based besides Fiddle. The rest of the ten primordial demons can't really be fear related, as that is Fiddle's doman and Fiddle represents the entire concept of fear at its broadest. It's questionable under what demon king Tahm Kench would go, but I don't think it'd be fear personally.
Considering that Tahms M.O. is offering people what they most desire and taking it away at the most joyous moment of his victim, Tahm would propably go under the demon of Sorrow with his own specialisation being Regret.
I really love evelynn, because she is the type of character that has extreme sex appeal and it MAKES SENSE. She is sexy, that is what she is supposed to do, she is seductive, she uses sex to be able to bring people to ecstasy quickly and then ruin it so she can feed off the pain, i think that's so clever. She should absolutely have some genderbend skins, she can shapeshift to appeal to her target, so it would be amazing. I don't really use twitter, only go there sometimes to see fanart, so hearing about evelynn stans being toxic is kinda shocking to me. I mean, she is an evil character, but that shouldn't make her stans automatically evil too, it is sad because she is a genuinely good character, built perfectly for what she is supposed to do and be.

I wasn't going to comment about the aroaceness of the video but you brought it back up again around the 10 minute mark so I figured I'd give an added perspective: I'm also aroace, wasn't sure about the Aro part for a long time but eventually realized that I liked the IDEA of romance and love but hated it in action. I actually LOVE fanservice, mostly in anime and anything cartoon wise because honestly I'm bored to tears with sexual fanservice for real people and rarely have an interest outside of amusement, but with cartoons while I'm not sexually attracted to them I find them insanely aesthetically pleasing and don't mind the fanservice as much - - it's more of a fun thing to me. That being said, unnecessary sex scenes in every form of media is the bane of my existence, if I wanted to be bored to tears I'd watch paint dry. I'm not sex repulsed despite how I sound, I'm more so neutral about it or positive for others - I just find it bland. Characters like Evelynn fascinate me, she is honestly one of my favorites mostly because K/DA brainwashed me

As somebody who was an Evelin main and is Ace I really feel bad about the actions of her players. I am somebody who was attracted to the gameplay initially with the idea of a heavy stealth champion and then realized what the lore and character design was. I like her lore but her design is obviously one note and simple. I wish they did more with her design where it showed her backstabbing nature.

I feel like a lot about evelynn makes more sense when you look at her as Runeterra's slaanesh. Her followers? Those are her Daemonettes. Her being a sexy demon? Slaanesh's thing is excess, be of pleasure or pain. It is all about being at the height of pleasure and then dragging it all to the bottom of the barrel of suffering and pain.
I always assumed her base skin was a halfway point between her "true" demonic form and a disguise she would put on to seduce her victims, just to make it clear to the player, that she's evil demon lady. In her full disguise she would look more along the alley of Tango Evelynn. That has always been my headcanon at least.
I find the concept of succubus like creatures to be fascinating, particularly BECAUSE I'm ace and so far removed from the whole naughtiness thing. Any creature can charm people in some way or another but specifically and explicitly constraining it to sexual pleasure opens up interesting design choices that aren't solely for sexual gratification or fetish fuel.
It is pretty valid to see your point of view as an asexual fella. While i'm straight i do understand why she feels off (can't blame ya considering all her voicelines consists in her moaning and craving for "bangs" which....yea make sure to not play eve with your parents nearby. Also there's a point where one can handle TOO much horniness) Evelynn as a champion however is a pretty good take on a succubus/demon with a well done lore, and her rework made her be something note worthy (considering her old version was just borderline copyright infringement). What i hate however, is what KDA has inflicted upon her and kai 'sa and ahri and akali: being reduced to nothing but a generic kpop singer, and the stan culture builded around it it's utterly toxic and disgusting. KDA was a horrendous mistake upon league of legends and sometimes i wish riot never indulged into it. The amount of stans i've seen in surrender at 20/jungle diff simping for evelynn, being obnoxious af and calling her "queen" while diminishing monster champions or any other champion that wasn't her, and then victimizing themselves when called out was just GROSS. Draven and Aurelion look like prefectly sane beings compared to them. How do these ppl properly function, i don't get it. im a gay man and i find eves design SO COOL ugh maybe its just me having no sexual appeal to me (cus i like men) but i think shes so well designed as an actual monstrous character, that once you know the truth you wouldnt be attracted to her. unlike other succubus characters that ive seen in media where people usually go ‘well atleast the sex would be good’ with eve it wouldnt because the MOMENT youre vulnerable its torture. Her sexual remarks i see as obviously hollow. Plus with her ult scream, that one noise she makes in her q and that one voiceline ‘i need this to feel’ gives her so much more dimension as a character for me, as they show her true nature as an actual demon or agony and not just fanservice with sprinkles of the demon idea ontop of her.
OH ALSO the tail lasher things are supposed to be a mix of her seductive nature (like in lore theyre supposed to be like drapes or a fancy dress tail kinda thing) and her want for torture.
As someone who plays a lot of Jungle, Evelynn just happened to be one of the characters I immediately fell in love with gameplay wise and then once going through her lore I was immediately hooked. Also, When I first heard about League, was when KDA came out and I found it interesting as a concept of like the Champions in League but what if they had an alternate Music Universe. A lot of my love for League as someone who makes OCs and tries to come up with Backstory for them has been the Lore. I honestly could see the Male Variation for Evelynn could work out for a Legendary (maybe an ultimate if you allow her to be able to shift not only into a different gender but into different species within the Runterra universe but still keeping her general Silhouette no matter which form she took) There is so much that can be done with her character if the narrative with league is able to progress. Like now that Vayne is a Sentinel of Light, Vayne could be trying to track down Evelynn to try go face her on and see if she will enact her Vengeance against Evelynn for taking her family away or to try to come to terms with the Turmoil that was inflicted by Evelynn. Cause Evelynn could still be feeding on the Agony from Vayne having lost her parents so many years ago. Even try go close in on Evelynn by going after her followers from Legends of Runterra to try to root out Evelynn.

I personally dont go on Twitter, so I cant speak for them, but from my experience you probably wouldnt like the Eve subreddit people personally but they are usually good people. We like to make jokes about stanning Eve and all that, but I don't think I've seen anyone there say something silly like "X champ taints our skin line," whichever twitter eve said that shame on you. We like the cheesy over the top stuff because we think she is bad ass and like you said, sexy with a purpose. I hope you see less of the toxic side of our community in the future, we are just a bunch of weirdos at the end of the day, and I don't want anyone feeling targeted and abused by us. I find it entertaining that, despite being ace myself, I love Eve. I'm a lady, so I guess the possibility of me finding her sexy is meh, even while being ace. But I just love that she's a demon/monster. I love that she embraces that she's a monster. She doesn't have to be scary in the cho way. She's still scary because she is what she is. And then KDA is just less monstrous but equally seductive and evil looking. I think it's amazing.

Ever since we got the demon lore, I never thought that they feeded only on fear, but instead on aspects of the human mind. Emotions, like fear and joy. The expression of such emotions, like nightmares and agony. Private thoughts like secrets. Desires like addiction. And so on and so forth Also, how you described the way feel in relation to sexual and romantic relationships reminds me of apotissexuality (I think that's how you write it). I'm not saying you are this, but if it picks your interest, or that of other people reading this, might wanna google it
i feel like youve become quiet good at judging character designs and i always enjoy listening to you talk about that stuff and its also nice to listen to someone with a very different viewpoint but i feel like your sex repulsiveness sometimes clouds your judgement. like while league does have a big problem with oversexualizing their characters (ashe, kaisa) i still think there are quiet many characters for whom sexualizing them works aside from evelynn and you should try giving them more credit when you come around to talking about them (not kaisa tho make as long of a rant as you need to. im here for it). like i think sexualizing them is helping the characterization of for example jinx and sett, and making viego a young hot dude was a big subversion of expectations and made him a much more interesting character, while also portraying his backstory of being entiteled dumb and in love alot better than if he was a more traditional old bearded king. this was just a kinda unrelated rant. take from it what you want. cool video anyways!

My interpretation was that Evelynn does the seductress thing to increase the quality of the agony. That the betrayal made the torture and death more agonizing, thus more delicious. The whole process does sound rather inefficient though doesn't it? Even without the whole thing, one person at a time sounds so slow.
Tbh eve is the only sexy character in league that is actually good because its not just tagged on to her character. The sexy side makes the agony a LOT less generic imo.
I myself think oversexualisation works for Evelyn and Ahri and maybe for Miss Fortune, but there are so many champions in league, whos appereance just doesnt match the story. Like Kai´sas body not being affect at all by the Void. The corrupting realm that turned her dad into Darth Vader. Yes she has a suit now, but she should have some sort of scar or anything that would indicate a struggle. The way she looks now makes it seam like her time in the void had no negative impact on her and she got a blue beetle suit as a bonus. I confess. I am a straight male. I like a pretty woman. But if you want to make a pretty woman you have to give her a reason to be pretty. Evelyn can transform herself and wants to lure in victims. Caithlyn is a elite citizen of piltover and a sniper. She was well fed her entire life, she is a sniper so she doesnt usually engage in melee combat so she could probably avoid the scars. She can look neat and tidy and pretty, because her life allows her to be. You have to make it believable. Which is why I hate the fact that every female human exept for Illaoi has the exact same shape. They all look like supermodels. Even Nidalee, who lives in the jungle and fights invaders (sometimes even in melee as a cat), has perfectly done hair and no marks of any injuries or even strain on her body. I love the lore of league, but the character desigs just dont add up, because if they made them lore accurate it would hurt the bottom line. ):
The reason why a lot of female league characters look pretty or sexy like supermodels because it just works, you say it has to have a reason for it well the reason is that it's appealing, it's attractive, humans in general like and prefer people that are attractive, so the game developers will create pretty looking characters, it just makes sense, you say that pretty characters have to be believable shows that you have a higher standard when it comes to attractive characters, nothing wrong with that, you're entitled to your standards but it doesn't mean that the game developers has to appeal to your high standard, everyone has different standards for attractive looking characters, some people just like sexy characters regardlessly if it's lore accurate or not, which is also not wrong and they are entitled to their standard.

Just in my case, the biggest reason I like to play evelynn is because back in my childhood, the only loba I poayed was dota, and the only character I played was NightStalker, which had a Murloc model, and it's almost similar to Evelynn's gameplay, so I find it funny that an ugly fish frog is the equal to a sexy temptress
I wish I liked more wholesome characters so I don't get stereotyped as an asshole. But, the invisibility makes playing evelynn so much fun. I also love minion summoning characters, yorick being the best imo. But from my experience, yorick mains.... They remind me of middleschool.

It’s kinda funny, bc I’m also asexual but I enjoy sexual stuff but for another reason, I like the feeling, emotion and thought of sexual stuff not really doing it.
Her fostering a group of shitty demons though kinda makes sense for her because her goal isn't suffering, it's mass suffering, like apocalyptic level suffering, like the "gods" have to get involved levels of suffering. She "sponsors" demons in every corner of the world, feeds them and gets them stronger so they can spread suffering everywhere. Evelynn herself isn't strong enough to inflict this level of suffering on her own and likely will never reach that point but if she fosters demons she can spread more suffering probably still not enough to replicate that high from the Rune Wars but more than she'd be able to on her own.
Her goal isn't consuming suffering but chasing this high, she'd get more suffering on her own for herself but that's not what she wants.

Evelynn as a succubus archetype is such a breath of fresh air. I’ve always felt they’ve been romanticised far too much to the point that it’s like “Yeah she’d eat your soul but at least the sex would be good.” Evelynn takes that image and absolutely shatters it. For every ounce of pleasure she gives you she will extract 10 times the pain, she only raises you up because she finds your fall all the more entertaining and she’s constantly musing more painful ways to torture you. Death at Evelynn’s hands is truly one of the worst ways to die in Runeterra and I think it works wonders for her character and image.

Also, I think Eve's logic for going this temptation route to inflict agony makes sense. It's basically teasing the victim with the highest ecstasy possible and once they are on the precipice, she takes it all away inflicting the most agonising pain imaginable. It's going from the absolute highest high to the lowest low. Making the agony ever sweeter, and the victim absolutely unprepared for it, as they would be for just a classic demon hunting them down.

As someone who is into religious horror, demons are awesome. In terms of lust, Evelynn represents something involved in religious horror where seduction is the primary way they get you. Satan as a whole is a seductor. Evelynn's troupe of demons sort of reminds me in a similar way to a cult (which she even has a cult in the lore). She represents the humanity pulling demons like to do. Cults afterall seem like something easy to escape, right? Well, the catch is you usually are sort of, lulled into it. Of all the demons, she is probably the best at utilizing her themes and creepy abilities.
"She's" even genderfluid. The thing with her design I appreciate is that the demon can take on any form it wants, and maybe sexy lady isn't always it. The tendrils I like to think are supposed to be representative of the flowy backs of fancy garments, such as blazers and etc. As for gameplay, hot take but I think she's actually the most "fair" assassin. I don't like playing meta or cheesy champions, and Evelynn's kit as far as most assassins go is rather basic and expected.
While I get your personal distaste for her, I do love that you can still appreciate the things that make her such a good champion! (also side note: I once dm'ed you on Discord about this but...I'm so sorry what the toxic stan culture of Evelynn has had on you, and hopefully you don't see all Eve players this way)

My favorite part about Evelynn is, like you said, how her gameplay is exactly like how she kills in-lore. There she stalks someone, seduces him and then proceeds to eviscerate them in the most gruesome way possible. Evelynn in-game? stalks someone, charms them and then does like 3k damage. Glorious!

In terms of character, I do agree with your take that she’s a difficult character to take forward in the lore. I think the key thing with Evelynn is that she’s fundamentally designed to be static; she is slave to her nature as a demon, by necessity she is not going to develop in any extremely radical ways. Without pain, she cannot exist - she will literally return to not maintaining a consciousness.
And that’s okay, I think. Characters like this aren’t meant to have their own grand personal arcs so much as they are meant to be the villain of someone else’s story, and that’s where Evelynn has potential to be compelling, specifically for Vayne.
In LoR voicelines actually, she specifically praises Vayne for becoming a practiced killer, which I think is kind of a fun dynamic to have. The whole “oh we’re not so different, you and I” bit is kinda overplayed, sure, but in Vayne’s case I think it works; she’s a bit of a stone cold murderer at this point, and even enjoys hunting things she finds repulsive. I’d like it if they took that further.

As a fellow aroace person, repulsed by the thought of sex involving myself, but also interested by sexual content in art forms (drawing and writing), I find Evelyn such a cool and well done character on it's own and it's archetype. Her voicelines makes me uncomfortable as hell tho 😅
To answer "do straight people find this charming" from my perspective: in the way that an over the top evil villain is charming. Evelyn is so overly sexualized that it's just kinda funny because no regular guy would be like "yeah I'm buying this" unless they were down abysmally or unrecoverably addicted to sex. I have a friend that plays evelyn occasionally and the only time anyone cares about her sexually is when he's playing up the bit for a laugh.
It is kind of funny to hear about the Evelyn twitter cult (i didnt know it existed) because those are the exact type of people evelyn would prey on and murder.

As a man, who's not asexual, Evelynn's voice lines don't make me uncomfortable, rather I find them quite funny, cause it's a video game character saying such sexual things and sounding so horny.
I don't get people drooling over Eve like she's a sexual being, especially since she absolutely isn't one. Maybe it's because I'm a woman, but for me my favorite thing is how absolutely vicious she is. Her talking about wearing some dude's skin after him telling her to put on some clothes, ripping off eyelids, pulling tongues out through necks etc lol. I get people finding her lines cringe or uncomfy, but I can't help but find them hilarious. The closest she can get to acting like a human is by talking like she's out of some 99¢ "adult" dvd from the smokeshop. The best ones are where she drops the facade, those can give me chills from the instant turn from corny "sexy" into cold-blooded monster that will "suck every last drop of joy from your heart." I never get tired of her.
NickyBoi feels uncomfortable with Evelyn because he's AroAce, while I am very uncomfortable with her because of my Algophobia. I know it's weird in a game where Darius smashes your head in or Brand melts you. But at least they don't TALK about it. Eve keeps talking about it, especially in Legends of Runeterra, and that really creeps me out.
A bit late, but I think a skin that over a second or so automatically shifts to the type of person her nearest (visible) enemy would be most attracted to would be cool - though still maybe sort of purple and with the unique hair and stuff to keep clarity between her and the himbos. Would also shed a lot of light on existing champs, those attracted to certain other characters, or the same sex, or both, while also still giving her that fluidity of form. And in a team fight with people poking in and out she could just be constantly in the shifting-fluid part of the transition stage.
I don't think Eve really falls under fear. She's more likely just a specific type of pain, and there likely is a primordial demon of pain, the way Fiddle is for fear and Ashlesh is for joy. Nocturne is the only other real demon champ who is fear based besides Fiddle.
The rest of the ten primordial demons can't really be fear related, as that is Fiddle's doman and Fiddle represents the entire concept of fear at its broadest.
It's questionable under what demon king Tahm Kench would go, but I don't think it'd be fear personally.
Considering that Tahms M.O. is offering people what they most desire and taking it away at the most joyous moment of his victim, Tahm would propably go under the demon of Sorrow with his own specialisation being Regret.

I really love evelynn, because she is the type of character that has extreme sex appeal and it MAKES SENSE. She is sexy, that is what she is supposed to do, she is seductive, she uses sex to be able to bring people to ecstasy quickly and then ruin it so she can feed off the pain, i think that's so clever. She should absolutely have some genderbend skins, she can shapeshift to appeal to her target, so it would be amazing.
I don't really use twitter, only go there sometimes to see fanart, so hearing about evelynn stans being toxic is kinda shocking to me. I mean, she is an evil character, but that shouldn't make her stans automatically evil too, it is sad because she is a genuinely good character, built perfectly for what she is supposed to do and be.

I'm also aroace, wasn't sure about the Aro part for a long time but eventually realized that I liked the IDEA of romance and love but hated it in action. I actually LOVE fanservice, mostly in anime and anything cartoon wise because honestly I'm bored to tears with sexual fanservice for real people and rarely have an interest outside of amusement, but with cartoons while I'm not sexually attracted to them I find them insanely aesthetically pleasing and don't mind the fanservice as much - - it's more of a fun thing to me.
That being said, unnecessary sex scenes in every form of media is the bane of my existence, if I wanted to be bored to tears I'd watch paint dry.

I feel like a lot about evelynn makes more sense when you look at her as Runeterra's slaanesh. Her followers? Those are her Daemonettes. Her being a sexy demon? Slaanesh's thing is excess, be of pleasure or pain. It is all about being at the height of pleasure and then dragging it all to the bottom of the barrel of suffering and pain.
I always assumed her base skin was a halfway point between her "true" demonic form and a disguise she would put on to seduce her victims, just to make it clear to the player, that she's evil demon lady. In her full disguise she would look more along the alley of Tango Evelynn. That has always been my headcanon at least.

I find the concept of succubus like creatures to be fascinating, particularly BECAUSE I'm ace and so far removed from the whole naughtiness thing.
Any creature can charm people in some way or another but specifically and explicitly constraining it to sexual pleasure opens up interesting design choices that aren't solely for sexual gratification or fetish fuel.
It is pretty valid to see your point of view as an asexual fella. While i'm straight i do understand why she feels off (can't blame ya considering all her voicelines consists in her moaning and craving for "bangs" which....yea make sure to not play eve with your parents nearby. Also there's a point where one can handle TOO much horniness)
Evelynn as a champion however is a pretty good take on a succubus/demon with a well done lore, and her rework made her be something note worthy (considering her old version was just borderline copyright infringement). Her alluring ppl with promises of a good time only for her to eviscerate them as the life slowly leaves their body is really great.
What i hate however, is what KDA has inflicted upon her and kai 'sa and ahri and akali: being reduced to nothing but a generic kpop singer, and the stan culture builded around it it's utterly toxic and disgusting. KDA was a horrendous mistake upon league of legends and sometimes i wish riot never indulged into it. The amount of stans i've seen in surrender at 20/jungle diff simping for evelynn, being obnoxious af and calling her "queen" while diminishing monster champions or any other champion that wasn't her, and then victimizing themselves when called out was just GROSS. Draven and Aurelion look like prefectly sane beings compared to them. How do these ppl properly function, i don't get it. (also wtf how dare the mindless eve stans to say a WORD against coolass wendigo warwick????? i will not tolerate warwick slander in this house)
im a gay man and i find eves design SO COOL ugh maybe its just me having no sexual appeal to me (cus i like men) but i think shes so well designed as an actual monstrous character, that once you know the truth you wouldnt be attracted to her. unlike other succubus characters that ive seen in media where people usually go ‘well atleast the sex would be good’ with eve it wouldnt because the MOMENT youre vulnerable its torture. Her sexual remarks i see as obviously hollow. Plus with her ult scream, that one noise she makes in her q and that one voiceline ‘i need this to feel’ gives her so much more dimension as a character for me, as they show her true nature as an actual demon or agony and not just fanservice with sprinkles of the demon idea ontop of her.
i just like how she breaks the trad succubus archetype with her not feeding on lust, but agony. i think it is phenomenal character design
OH ALSO the tail lasher things are supposed to be a mix of her seductive nature (like in lore theyre supposed to be like drapes or a fancy dress tail kinda thing) and her want for torture.

As someone who plays a lot of Jungle, Evelynn just happened to be one of the characters I immediately fell in love with gameplay wise and then once going through her lore I was immediately hooked. Also, When I first heard about League, was when KDA came out and I found it interesting as a concept of like the Champions in League but what if they had an alternate Music Universe. A lot of my love for League as someone who makes OCs and tries to come up with Backstory for them has been the Lore.
I honestly could see the Male Variation for Evelynn could work out for a Legendary (maybe an ultimate if you allow her to be able to shift not only into a different gender but into different species within the Runterra universe but still keeping her general Silhouette no matter which form she took)
There is so much that can be done with her character if the narrative with league is able to progress. Like now that Vayne is a Sentinel of Light, Vayne could be trying to track down Evelynn to try go face her on and see if she will enact her Vengeance against Evelynn for taking her family away or to try to come to terms with the Turmoil that was inflicted by Evelynn. Cause Evelynn could still be feeding on the Agony from Vayne having lost her parents so many years ago. Even try go close in on Evelynn by going after her followers from Legends of Runterra to try to root out Evelynn.
I'm surprised the toxic Evelynn people could get their hands out of their pants long enough to send a tweet....

Hey Nicky, as an Eve main I'm sorry to hear youve had such a bad experience with our community. I personally dont go on Twitter, so I cant speak for them, but from my experience you probably wouldnt like the Eve subreddit people personally but they are usually good people. We like to make jokes about stanning Eve and all that, but I don't think I've seen anyone there say something silly like "X champ taints our skin line," whichever twitter eve said that shame on you. We like the cheesy over the top stuff because we think she is bad ass and like you said, sexy with a purpose. I hope you see less of the toxic side of our community in the future, we are just a bunch of weirdos at the end of the day, and I don't want anyone feeling targeted and abused by us. I'm a lady, so I guess the possibility of me finding her sexy is meh, even while being ace. But I just love that she's a demon/monster. I love that she embraces that she's a monster. She doesn't have to be scary in the cho way. She's still scary because she is what she is.
And then KDA is just less monstrous but equally seductive and evil looking. I think it's amazing.

Ever since we got the demon lore, I never thought that they feeded only on fear, but instead on aspects of the human mind. Emotions, like fear and joy. The expression of such emotions, like nightmares and agony. Private thoughts like secrets. Desires like addiction. And so on and so forth

i feel like youve become quiet good at judging character designs and i always enjoy listening to you talk about that stuff and its also nice to listen to someone with a very different viewpoint but i feel like your sex repulsiveness sometimes clouds your judgement. like while league does have a big problem with oversexualizing their characters (ashe, kaisa) i still think there are quiet many characters for whom sexualizing them works aside from evelynn and you should try giving them more credit when you come around to talking about them (not kaisa tho make as long of a rant as you need to. im here for it). like i think sexualizing them is helping the characterization of for example jinx and sett, and making viego a young hot dude was a big subversion of expectations and made him a much more interesting character, while also portraying his backstory of being entiteled dumb and in love alot better than if he was a more traditional old bearded king.

It’s actually kinda cool how your favorite champion Ivern is the polar opposite of everything you don’t really favor in a champion design being Evelyn. It’s like night and day.
My interpretation was that Evelynn does the seductress thing to increase the quality of the agony. That the betrayal made the torture and death more agonizing, thus more delicious.
The whole process does sound rather inefficient though doesn't it? Even without the whole thing, one person at a time sounds so slow.

Tbh eve is the only sexy character in league that is actually good because its not just tagged on to her character. The sexy side makes the agony a LOT less generic imo.
I myself think oversexualisation works for Evelyn and Ahri and maybe for Miss Fortune, but there are so many champions in league, whos appereance just doesnt match the story. Like Kai´sas body not being affect at all by the Void. The corrupting realm that turned her dad into Darth Vader. Yes she has a suit now, but she should have some sort of scar or anything that would indicate a struggle. The way she looks now makes it seam like her time in the void had no negative impact on her and she got a blue beetle suit as a bonus. I confess. I am a straight male. I like a pretty woman. But if you want to make a pretty woman you have to give her a reason to be pretty. Evelyn can transform herself and wants to lure in victims. Caithlyn is a elite citizen of piltover and a sniper. She was well fed her entire life, she is a sniper so she doesnt usually engage in melee combat so she could probably avoid the scars. She can look neat and tidy and pretty, because her life allows her to be. You have to make it believable. Which is why I hate the fact that every female human exept for Illaoi has the exact same shape. They all look like supermodels. Even Nidalee, who lives in the jungle and fights invaders (sometimes even in melee as a cat), has perfectly done hair and no marks of any injuries or even strain on her body. I love the lore of league, but the character desigs just dont add up, because if they made them lore accurate it would hurt the bottom line. ):
Why would Kai'Sa have any scars? She has a Void symbiote that protects her from harm. It would make LESS sense for her to have scars.
The reason why a lot of female league characters look pretty or sexy like supermodels because it just works, you say it has to have a reason for it well the reason is that it's appealing, it's attractive, humans in general like and prefer people that are attractive, so the game developers will create pretty looking characters, it just makes sense, you say that pretty characters have to be believable shows that you have a higher standard when it comes to attractive characters, nothing wrong with that, you're entitled to your standards but it doesn't mean that the game developers has to appeal to your high standard, everyone has different standards for attractive looking characters, some people just like sexy characters regardlessly if it's lore accurate or not, which is also not wrong and they are entitled to their standard.

Just in my case, the biggest reason I like to play evelynn is because back in my childhood, the only loba I poayed was dota, and the only character I played was NightStalker, which had a Murloc model, and it's almost similar to Evelynn's gameplay, so I find it funny that an ugly fish frog is the equal to a sexy temptress

I wish I liked more wholesome characters so I don't get stereotyped as an asshole. But, the invisibility makes playing evelynn so much fun. I also love minion summoning characters, yorick being the best imo. But from my experience, yorick mains.... They remind me of middleschool.
