Many thanks for the video. My wife's 2015 Fiesta is fitted with the same dealer fit Xvision parking sensors which have not worked correctly since they were fitted. Kept giving false triggers & beeping all the time when nothing was behind the car. Turns out the dealer monkey wired the blue wire to the same power feed as the red wire. Spent this afternoon re-wiring it correctly & tidying up the rest of the wiring which was just thrown in. Everything working fine now.
Is there a CAN bus connector so that the display on the dash tells you which corner has been triggered? I'm guessing only some cars have the connector?

Hi there from what I remember although its been a while the long beep tells you theres a fault followed by a number of beeps to tell you which sensor it it from left to right so 1 beep= nearside outer, 2 beeps nearside inner etc... if you want to make sure its the right sensor you think it is also simply unplug the sensor you think if faulty and put the car back in reverse, if the beep pattern changes its the wrong one 👍

Watch the video. 5:08 it shows you 👍 edit: realised you said focus, it will be either the same as the video (green, brown trace) or a solid blue one, i believe its the blue though and there are two of them so before you solder it together test it first, if it isnt one it will be the other. No problem, sorry about late reply, ive just looked up for the kuga, they will be in the passenger side, according to what ive just read its a brown wire with a blue trace for the positive, the wire will be in the loom going near the top of the wheel arch joined to the light, just follow it back,and the earth point there will be a bunch of wires held onto the body with a 8mm bolt, thats the earth point. Hope that helps 👍

Do you mean youve got a diffrent bumper with them factory fitted and want to fit the new bumper so the sensors work? That only works if the car had originally got parking sensors from factory, in which case there will be a plug somewhere usually on the right hand side underneath where the bumper fits that you just will need to plug in
@@ALLTHINGSJIM yeah it didn’t have sensors fitted from factory however I bought a bumper off a car that had sensors. However my mate did the same and he found the connection from the bumper loom to his car

Iam looking to fit some flush mounted sensors on a 2017 ford focus do you know what colour is the reverse live feed is? Any help would be appreciated

He was lucky then, sometimes they dont have them. If you have the connection plug it in and see if it works if it does happy days. 👍

Because thats where the manufacturer of these aftermarket sensors designed them to be 👍
I do not like the position of the sensors. could have been installed in the original factory position!
Actually these ones cant, this is where the manufacturer specified they must be fitted
