A few months ago, one of your videos inspired me to start playing again (Molotov Rocktail farm). I popped into a live stream and asked which new profession to try and you recommended assassin. I've now beat all the campaigns on the Sin (very fun, you were right), and I'm going to start playing on my first char, an ele, again. I watched your ele guide video and I had no idea they were so versatile now. Back when I quit, they were pretty much just nukers, but I'm exctied to try some different builds. I even got some friends to start playing, so I'm looking forward to trying some party support builds as well.
Using this farm I got a firebrand after 321 runs, which took me two days. I hope this information can be useful to anyone when considering the drop rate. Ty for the farm peter :)

I was literally just talking about trying to farm for this weapon the other night. I think this would be the top off for me ele build. I dont really have a farming ability to well currentlu but i would absolutely love this thing! If not i suppose ill probably spend the next few months trying to snag one. I think I deserve a Firebrand as a gift because over the last few years I've been unable to play GW much because I was working on my PhD. I have now however completed my PhD and am finally a Doctor! Now I can have a well deserved break and play some GW! Watching your videos was always a source of help for me during the PhD, I really enjoyed relaxing to your videos and have enjoyed them very much over these last years. Having this gift would really help me to get back into the game by buying some nice items for my characters and heroes. P.s. Amazing work as always for the farm, it's crazy to see you did so many runs! Fantastic commitment and the community thank you for this!

Great video! War in Kryta greens are my favorite. I have every one. Because of this video I uploaded from my phone the video I took of me getting two firebrands and two more greens all in one day. Just uploaded it to my channel.
@@RM1980CF I did not farm them. I was doing the daily bounty. The firebrands dropped doing Insatiable Vakar bounty and the others dropped around Justiciar Sevaan. I do most of the bounties 4 times with multiple accounts at once. Those two are easy ones. Some like Justiciar Kimii are too hard and long to do in hard mode and with only a party of six
Been trying my hand at this farm, but really struggling when groups spawn with either Ward of Weakness (way longer runs) or a Shield of Deflection (have to abandon these runs, they outheal the spikes easily), or a combination of both. Also having trouble balling them up (healer often runs off far away from the rest). I'm running your setup, except for Drunken Master (cannot afford the map pieces atm). How key is that skill to making this work? Do you have any other tips? I'm quite new so maybe there's just something I'm missing about Derv.

some tips: drunken master + alcohol provides the max 33% speed boost and attacking speed, this way you can force the mobs to rush to the same place (when you run past them) and you can spike them very easily (this usually only works in normal mode btw) in general derv is all about your character's movement and position + the monsters position compared to you in short: try to hit at least 3 enemies with your weapon to maximize the scythes' unique 3-mob hitting feature gl :)
@ Ah, I see. I wasn't aware of the fact that your movement speed is what's causing this. I tried to use "Harrier's Haste" as a replacement, because I thought the movement speed was to get to the enemies quickly to speed up the farm, but because this only lasts 6 seconds, I can see the problem with this strategy now (again, I don't have drunken master yet). But I have good news, I temporarily used a bonder monk hero as "training wheels" while I learned the farm and it actually dropped in an incredibly lucky 50 runs. I consider myself extremely lucky. Thanks for the guides!

Hi! Yes, be a pro derv. Jk :D For seriously: if there's a prot monk, try to kd it and time your interrupt really well. This way you can even rupt 1/4s short skills. Otherwise I can say a few general tips like interrupt the res(death pact signet), ball up foes like I did(this requires speedboost f.e. drunken master)
Firstly you need to have either started or done the War in Kryta: wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/War_in_Kryta This link details the requirements to start the War in Kryta. Then take a look here: wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Wanted_by_the_Shining_Blade this is the daily he's talking about and in the Notes section you'll see the requirements for the daily.
@@mathieusaraiva9886 if you have already finished war in kryta you should be able to talk to the Lion's Arch Keep Gate Guard to bring you inside the keep and get the quest. You wont be able to take the bounty if you already have the same quest in your log, or if you already have 3 bounties in your log. Any one bounty will be enough for spawns, doesn't matter which :)

I don't like to grind so I don't think to deserve any reward for that. But since it's an ele staff and I've recently made a female character and called her after my wife. The problem is that now she want me to put the obby armor on her character. Not knowing that's the moat expensive armor. But I've never had an obby armor before and I don't want to craft my first obby armor for her character 😝. So at least she will have a decent staff! Maybe.

If suddently everyone starts to farm this (or even bot it), the interest for the weapon would significantly drop, thus the price of it.
