    I recommand you to always start your tiles from the front of the door so it alings perfectly when you walk inside the room, also your cuts will be almost not seen because they will be under your sink :)

    Your really good! And your statement: don’t be scared to take on a project you never did before because you can take that knowledge and be so much better. My first intro to tiling was my shower and I used a odd shape tile. I wanted to quit and pay but I was determined, now I look at tiling a bare floor with big tiles with all the confidence. Thanks, my next project will be tiling master bath.

    Nice work! I’m addition to using a leveling system if you have a tile that has larger bows or cups, using a 1/3 stagger instead of a 1/2 will help even more with lippage 👍🏻

    Hey here's a tip from a pro the toilet flange should be above the tile. Its more likely to leak when the flange is flush with the tile.

    • @sailornick7
      @sailornick7 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So if it is sitting flush or a bit low, how do you remedy that? How would you go about raising that flange?

    • @SupahSamie

      @@sailornick7 Home Depot has flange spacers that go on top of the existing to raise it

      The spacers are okay just use wax not the caulking they say to use. The wax will last longer. But they sell something call a twist n set flange that will screw in to the pipe and raise the flange.

    Do not ever assume the framing crew that build the house could read a tape and set studs on 16" centers. More times than not, studs are sorta kinda close to 16". Use your stud finder and mark them to be sure.

  • @g00fysmiley

    looks nice. On trim though, at this point for a bathroom its not a ton more to go full PVC baseboard and then you never have to worry about any water damage issues.

    I like how you describe everything! But on way to run tile is completely your choice and if you tile isn't rectified you will have bowing issues. Best way to lay it should be in the box. I would do a 1/3 offset or a straight stack to try to avoid lipage which will happen either way.
    Good job though!
