I smoked and used medical marijuana edibles al throughout my pregnancy. My daughter was born completely healthy, normal birth weight and is 8 months old and is far more advanced for her age. Her pediatrician is blown away. She is my healthiest baby. I use medical marijuana to replace several medications. My other two pregnancies I did not use cannabis, just following my obgyn’s recommended “safe” medication list. Both of my daughters had health issues not related to family histories on either side. My cannabis baby (as I’d like to call her) is the happiest baby ever. We get told this by literally almost anyone who interacts with her. She has popped through 2 teeth and has not fussed once during the teething process. Her pediatrician also was completely amazed to see that. She also started sleeping through the night at 5 days old. Don’t knock medical marijuana, it doesn’t hurt babies. In my opinion in made my baby better

Maybe she’s healthier bexUse mum felt better physically and mentally and had more problems wirh the others? I thought my stepson was fine. Ahead of everyone and no problems mentally or anything (his mum smoked Dailey during pregnancy and breastfeeding). The problems came when he became a teen. Now it’s not from his socioeconomic situation or the way he was raised. Because that selfish bitch died when he was 3. His father and I don’t touch cannabis. Not that we haven’t but the depersonalisation issues were too uncomfortable after a while. Anyway he was raised in a home where drugs were bad, yet still one taste ans he was hooked. Nothing we can do will get him to stop. He initially wasn’t even friends with. Those kids that smoke so it wasn’t peee pressure. It was something wrong wirh his dopamine reward system while he was developing. It became primed to be addicted to things.
Research has shown these kids are more likely to be heroin addicts so I’m terrified. So far he just wants dope, but if it’s an inbuilt faulty reward system one shot and Thatl be it.
So watch out later. They are more likely to be addicted to everyrhing even like their mobile phone. Til he was 10 I thought his mum got lucky, (or we did given she mustn’t have given a crap to do that to him then just kill herself leaving him to deal wirh addictions he gave her alone). I think it’s the same as a heroin baby. Baby will withdraw when born xos it had it daily. People just don’t notice as it’s not as bad as opiate withdrawal wheee rhey shake. But they’d still need closed curtains quiet room and would do well with some benzo medication when born to ease into life without weed. Unless mum breastfeeds then shel give bubs enough and get him stoned everyday. How can a baby learn when it’s stoned everyday??
What were those percentages on how much mum smoked gets into the milk? I think it was high. All his good baby memories he was high but doesn’t consciously remember his body still remembers how it felt his vision his stomach his propeioceprion. When he felt it again it was like coming home.
It makes me sick how could you do this to a Child. Avoiding temptation and addiction is hard enoufh for a teen without us priming them for drug use and rewarding their use

Rewarding its use wirh sweet baby implicit memories of feeling safe and warm and loved when he smells that familiar scent (the nose nerves inervafe directly into the amygdala and hippocampus. Which are why scents are so closely liked to memory And emotions). He may not be able to recite the events from infancy, but his body remembers rhw feeling of activated cannaboid receptors. What may seem uncomfortable and dissociative and wrong to me or someone else. Feels nothing but right to him. It’s like finally capturing that moment you carry around in your perfect memory. The smell of your dead mums perfume, sound of a certain song and how it reminds you is safety. There are so many bodily sensations causd by weed it’s hard to keep track. But implicit memory needs no descriptions or explicit descriptions. You felt one way. Now you do again. You had mum and felt safe and associated that wirh the smell and all the sensations. It’sclassical conditioning, those sensations reappear and since rhey weee linked to safe and mum then they trigger the same.
      E 😊😊

My doctor was fine with marijuana durring pregnancy he said her birth weight was most likely because I was smaller. My daughter has been ahead in all her marks and is now a very happy 1 year 4 months and is constantly learning more and more. I love watching her development.

So overall, there is an increase in SIDS, which we don’t even understand. And the other possible risks are from a 1990 paper and is probably not that accurate? What in your opinion are the actual risks and big problems? I’m a regular user and me and my husband might be getting pregnant soon. I use medicinally and recreationally, and without it my mental health is :( I’m dreading not being able to smoke and would love to know it’s ok situationally.

All of these “my kids were fine” remind of of the moms from the older generations who smoke and drank throughout pregnancy. Multiple studies show there’s a chance your slowing your child’s development. It’s sad you’d risk that and influence others too just because you were fine.
