Yes, that is unfortunate. I was hoping there would be universal parts. The only reason why I would like to salvage this tripod is because it has been in my family for quite sometime. Thanks again for your feedback.

Parts for your Velbon tripod can be requested through your local distributor. The Velbon distributor listing can be found at www.velbon.biz/dist/index.html. Unfortunately, parts are limited for older discontinued models, so please consult with your local distributor to determine availability. For models NOT manufactured by Velbon, our best advice would be to try and contact the manufacturer directly.

Thanks for your prompt reply! Specifically, I was looking for Ambico parts. The tripod leg in your video looks identical to mine even though it's a different brand.
    Thanks again!

To our knowledge, Ambico is unfortunately no longer an existing company. To salvage your tripod, your best option would be to purchase a used tripod of the same model to salvage for parts if the pricing makes sense. Otherwise it may be time to consider purchasing a new tripod.

There is unfortunately no website where the parts can be purchased directly. We are able to service Velbon tripods only. Parts for your Velbon tripod can be requested through your local distributor. The Velbon distributor listing can be found at www.velbon.biz/dist/index.html. Unfortunately, parts are limited for older discontinued models, so please consult with your local distributor to determine availability. For models NOT manufactured by Velbon, our best advice would be to try and contact the manufacturer directly for replacement parts.
