Would it not be better to do this in Fall after harvest and allow the chopped up residue all winter to break down? I would have thought that you would have far less residue to deal with at planting time.
Doesn’t matter and in my opinion the stalks chop up much better after winter as they are brittle vs after harvest

Kuhn has dealerships that sell JD, but Kuhn is only licensing smaller equipment out to other brands, like 4 star tedders, single rotor rakes, etc. The Knight and Krause stuff they are holding on to. So far.

That works well in most conditions. Flail shredder is the best, but bush hogs do well. 👍
