The sword in wolverines room is a reference to the original Wolverine miniseries in the 80s where he was in Japan. The sword in the dumpster is referencing nightcrawler
The sword in Wolverine’s room is from “Silver Samurai.” Logan went to Japan. The other sword you had shown earlier was an Easter egg to “Nightcrawler.”
The sword could be a reference to more than one thing. Silver Samurai is one possibility, but that wasn't the only time Wolverine went to Japan. It could also be a reference to the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine mini-series that also saw Wolverine go to Japan (this time to rescue Kitty from his old master Ogun who taught Logn ninjitsu). BTW, Kitty is another missing minifigure. The other sword is likely a reference to Nightcrawler who has been known as skilled with a sword (or three at one time, 1 in each hand and the third wielded by his tail).
you are not wrong that they dropped the ball on some of the arm and leg printing opportunities with these figures. I think Iceman should have been more of a bluish color but he does look pretty good. Jubilee should have definitely been included. We also could have gotten some Brotherhood figs as well. It would have been nice to lose some of the grass area to make the building bigger but I get why they did it that way. I loved the review.
I think the sword is a reference to Wolvie’s time training in Japan. Throughout the comics he has a sword in his room and frequently carries it in some arcs.
wish the xavier helmet looked more like the actual one or the gwp had a more accurate one. except for that i dont really mind the rest. if you buy the set now youll also get the "books are my passion" gwp that you can use to have xavier and magnus play chess on or to add to the classroom
I don't really like to critique designers, but I can't help but compare how the Daily Bugle is significantly better than this set like it's genuinely disappointing for me
My wishlist: some villains...even foot soldiers would be great. regular people like Trask, senators, or even gardeners would be great. regular students like anyone would be fun. guns or cannons to defend the mansion. Just...make it fun to play with...
This set looks like a really expensive way to acquire X-Men minifigs without getting a display worthy build. The building itself is just... meh. Ugly? I wouldn't waste display space on it. Missed opportunity for an X-Men CMF series without the meh baggage.
For all the crappy build figures they sell at stores (the big Batman, Spider Man and Iron Man Bionicle looking figures) the Sentinel should’ve been a no brainer
Only complaint wish they had stoms attic room also jubilee, but if the bring out an xmen series where I can get nightcrawler, juggernaut, mr sinister ect I’d be happy
@@wwecrazy213 i dont think you understand legos process of printing, first of all lego used PAD printing. Each different colour is a separate pad that then gets applied to the piece. This process is very expensive and each theme and set has a budget set for it. The designers for this set had to think of what to print within the budget.
You are aware that there are brick companies out there that print every single detail? Makes your argument in the video sound really really weak. Even the biggest Lego shills have somehow conceded the sticker point in discussions because there really is nothing to argue about. Its greed and nothing but greed.
@@jeansversion how do you know they are superior ? Did you try out the competition ? Lego should also be better quality with the prices they ask compared to the other brands
@@jannovotny3674I can’t agree with this enough. Lego has no real competition for their products, and therefore, they do what they want. Absent competition, this is what we deal with. I know there’s no way to avoid it, but a $300 set with THAT many stickers, is unreasonable.
@@Kanooky_Jones I disagree. The last two years premium brands have upped their game drastically. Pantasy, Funwhole, Mega, Cobi, Cada come to mind. Funwhole is my favorite and their sets and quality wipe the floor with Lego. You get Mould King Bricks which are arguably on par or even better than Lego and lighting kits included. Furthermore, everything is printed and even their boxes and instructions are top tier material. Lego has good competition now but as you can see with this "creator" aka paid actor the braindead American consumers are still licking Legos bumwhole for free merchandise.

The mutant "Frog" my favorite member of the Fraternity of Malevolent Variants.
Haha hey! I’m human, I misspeak 😂
Not gonna argue with you on Jean. She is a shining Jewel among the minifigs in this set.

The rogue jacket is not that bad, somehow the x men 97 one is greenish, the marvel legends is on the same hues
All the action is outside and inside the Mansion nursery rooms!

Did lego really think we would not notice Jubilee or do they have more devious intentions including her in another 99.99 set?

Sword is a NightCrawler reference.
Omg 😂, the debate suggestion 😂

Can’t wait to pick it up next month; tomorrow

There’s two little cannons on the front lawn

Honestly semi-agree, like the set on its own doesn't display well, but the minifigs setup all around it make it display worthy.

So this would be Jean Grey's version... 😎
Definitely gonna pick up this set some time! the art in the instructions is beautiful! and love the gambit and bishop figs!
Toad* 🐸
dammit i will alllllways misspeak in every video i swear 🥲
4:54 Go debate your mothers 😂
this is $430 Canadian.. lol nope
Honestly sets this expensive need more printed bricks
Debate your mother always kills me😂😂😂😂
I ordered my xmansion and I got two gift with purchases I can't wait to build the xmansion
2:24 #NotMyLogan
Great vid. I don’t know why but I really just want Iceman. Probably his smile.☃️
The hair for Bishop, my god ❤
I want this badddd as a lifelong xmen fan but I can’t behind the price atm even though this set is worth it for sure
Jubilee is the worst member of the X-men by far I could never get a fig of her and not care

Should be renamed “The Reference Mansion” because there is a clear lack of X-men in this set
I would really love to see a 30$ dollar X-Men sentinel set, please Lego 🥹
This set is way to small for the xmansion, no thanks
