Been doing this job for over 40 years in Edmonton Canada. It's a tough job but when the day is done and you look back at what you did that day you feel the Ironworker pride. Great job guys. Trust me when I say we all hate doing the earthquake headers on the cores.
Nice work guys, good to see reinforcement done properly, wish more youtube videos would show this. Notice when the guy climbed the wall the rebar didn't move!
Great work gents... I noticed the carpenter's didn't kick the shoring . All in all you iron workers kick ass (always) !!! My concrete people rock on👍👍👍
The way it all comes together, is like poetry!!!LOL. Some say this method of building goes back thousands of years. Try looking at the dome of Rome’s Pantheon.
When you made your fors out of 2x4’s and steel angle, good way to make verticle custom columns. Saves you the troublemof unbolting traditional panels. Cheaper also.
ayeeee i build elevator cores for Suntec concrete in Phoenix, AZ. tough work with all that weight you gotta carry on your back all day. makes you proud at the end of the day though.
I've worked in a building project (small building under 10 stories) then in a tunnel project (NATM method) as an engineer and I've never seen such a dense steel reienforcement, (it would be a nightmare to verifie this lol) and such professional workers
Hello my name is Cyril I have been following you for some time on TH-cam I love your video your work I myself have been a shipbuilder for 20 years for a large French company located in Marseille I would like to have information concerning hiring at your place
how many floors have this Building? (more than 20 ?), and what is the name of the Project?, where I can find the areas of each floor? how many square meters has each floor, or where I can find the structural drawings ( sorry for so many questions but I'm really interested in this project)
interesting video, cool to watch, the points where the video stutters just briefly through the whole video hurt my brain. If you could try to make those moments smoother it would be much nicer to watch
It's a shame that the same men we depend on to build America are the same men we build a wall on the border to keep them out. Wow--great job and keep up the good work guys! Be safe out there! Lookin' good!
I stopped at the 7-Eleven right in front of this building across the street every day for lunch I am working are they building down the street from there a funny what a small world

So just how strong are reinforced concrete buildings? To what point are they overbuilt? Could they handle twice the load?
The Americans lead the way in construction god bless with a little help from the Irish,🇮🇪

That's California for you. This is in the highest earthquake zone, number 4.
what is actually holding up the steel reinforced slab once the temporary floor and supports underneath are removed?
It gets temporary shoring until it's cured, it's also tied into the rest of the building already.
Respect from Canada. UBC Local 1598
same from australia just not the time though.

Are you from America ??
A welding tool would be nice for rebar. I have to use a gas saw which is a pain in the ass
Did the camera man stand under the load at 4:53?
Jesus Ramirez , no. The load passed over the cameraman. 😎

Beautiful!
What's the reason for placing those diagonal rebars between those two column iron work?
To resist lateral forces during an earthquake.
structural Integrity the plans probably called for it
Ok great I've never seen anyone do something like that before, it makes sense though!

True. The men from down below the border build everything in Southern California.
Depends on what city you’re in. in Cleveland it’s mostly white.

Where are the dates on column...you should have shown the curing process of shear walls and columns
The curing process is just letting it cure. Like watching paint dry. No wet burlap required, as the temps were not extreme.
