Reminds me of an image I have of a planet in the foreground with a thin rim of yellow/gold light as if the beginning of a sunrise, with the sky above being a deep blue/black. Your use of high gloss finish might help this come out more effective, perhaps the yellow band might contrast if it were done in matte. Also playing with idea of painting a downward view into a molten volcano, bordered by a tall green grassy field, featuring the chunks of semi solidified lava outlined on the surface. In real life most volcanoes have no grass nearby the mouth, but I hope to make it work - thanks for sharing your inspiration!
Most of my pieces actually get a gloss clear coat when I finish them, so I'm way ahead of you on that. Sounds like an awesome project on your end, best of luck with it!
