Also, Walter was frustrated that despite being rich, he couldn't tell anybody, he couldn't spend it. Now, he can start spending big bucks without looking suss. And he gets to take some pride in being a man who earned money for his family instead of the broke guy. And he doesn't have to worry about anyone finding out that Gretchen and Elliot aren't paying him, that's one less lie to worry about keeping up.
Skylar kinda had to say 'our' money since Marie would assume Walt would be sharing with Skylar to provide for the kids anyway. Don't need Marie snooping more deeply into Walt and Skylar's marital issues and uncovering more 'secrets'...
The negotiation scene with Walt and Gus is so perfect. Gus is letting Walt speak and give his game away, while Walt thinks he's showing that he has an upper hand on the knowledge he has. Walt thinks he is securing his and his family's safety using this knowledge as leverage, but Gus is really the one pulling the strings and locking Walt into this deal. He's not about to let his cash cow go, and everything from the warning to Hank, to his appearance at the hospital, has been subtle manipulations into getting Walt to depend on him.

I feel like a lot of ppl overlook some of Jesse’s worse moments such as those displayed in this ep. Like hes still a better person than Walt or Mike, but trying to sell to addicts, especially after what after what happened to Jane, was so so cruel

I don't know why they wrote his character this way. Throughout the show, he doesn't care about money, but this season, 1.5 million isnt enough? I don't get it.
Jesse of course has a point about his number crunching. It's Fring who has the Lion's share of the profits from each cook even though Walt and Jesse are doing all the work, that's always the way in these situations. Walt of course works out Fring's plan with regards neutralising The Twins and The Cartel for now. We see Walt actually praise Fring for this plan, here we see Walt respecting intellect again, as opposed to how he treats Jesse like a moron. Great cinematography throughout even when Walt's car pulls away against the sunset. When Ted arrives at the door and Marie meets him so awkward for Skyler. Saul is trying explain to Jesse this is the only way to hide the cash by laundering it through a legitimate business, but again we see Jesse just not able to grasp it, thinking everyone is trying to rip him off. Planting Badger and Skinny Pete in the therapy group is of course Jesse's idea, but we have the possibility of The Domino effect gain form this action. Walt of course can't say anything when Skylar says to Marie we will pay the bills making out Walt to be a master gambler, even though it sounds ridiculous Skyler is doing a great job here totally fooling Marie. Totally understand your obsession with the show it's as addictive as 'glass', I just watched back to back for hours and re-watched several times. The writing is superb, but even as brilliant as this is, the writing in the prequel Better Call Saul is even better, look forward to you reacting to that when the time comes.

But I think what Jesse doesn't know is that Gus didn't want to work with him it was Walt who talked him into it and I think the only way he did it was to split his amount with Jesse Jesse doesn't really remember that he had said 3 million for 3 months to Walter I think Gail was getting his own pay but because Walt wanted to bring in Jesse as his partner Gus said he would have to pay him out of his amount Sir Walter took that pay cut just to get Jesse in there on his side so he wouldn't push charges against Hank so Walt actually sacrificed pay and doesn't want to tell Jesse that. That's why Jesse things that say bad deal it really wasn't it was 3 million for 3 months and won't split that out of his pay so technically Gus was paying him a good amount.
There’s a lot of moving parts to Gus operation, a lot of people to pay. Probably costs millions, so Gus definitely deserves the lion’s share. Still paying around 2 percent to the chef seems low. But assume Gus nets 50%, now he’s paying 4%. So risk vs reward, I’d take that deal all day.
