- The woman who had a Christmas tree surrounded by more than 300 gifts is speaking to INSIDE EDITION. The British mom of three, Emma Tapping told IE that her girls get 85 gifts each and her son gets about 30. Emma wants the holiday haters to know she's constantly on the hunt for bargains and cost of the gifts covering her tree cost about $2,000. After she posted the photo on social media parents blasted her. "I wouldn't let anybody tell me how to spend my Christmas with my children," she said. #InsideEdition

I never understood why parents think that their kid just wants endless stuff. Your kid wants your time, your attention, your affection.
With that being said, I don't think this is "wrong" by any means and maybe she does give her kids her time too, but it's so common for parents to overcomoensate on stuff to try to replace their time. The best gifts your kids can recieve is your time, love, and affection.

I get wanting to buy your kids lots of presents, but teach your kid about helping others during the holidays as well. We take my kids to toy drives and donate toys and then they get stuff under the tree as well. Some kids dont get anything, and that just breaks my heart.

I remember I had 5 things for Christmas, my brother had 3, my youngest brother had 10 and my little sister(youngest of us all) had 20. All from our parents. Of course, we got more gifts from cousins, aunts, uncles, godparents, etc.
Edit: oh, and my brother that got 3 things were a $1200 gaming PC he gets to build($1450 retail price), 4k 24 inch 120ghz Samsung monitor and a $500 pre-paid Visa gift card.
His stuff is actually more expensive than what my parents got for my little sister. Remember, he only got 3 things while she got 20. So yeah, boys can be more expensive.

Celebrate Christmas however you want to, would I personally give my kids this much at once? No 😂they would open it, play with it once, then it would be lost in the abyss.
To each it’s own though, we always get our kids like 3 big gifts, then 1 or 2 small ones, all from Santa. The bigger ones will be the more expensive gifts $80+ but they last longer. I don’t see a point in being bothered just because someone celebrates differently than we do.

@@youtubeuser693 Being "Spoiled" has nothing to do with getting a lot of gifts. Being spoiled is when you get anything you want without Discipline and hard work. Not getting a ton of gifts. For example, if a kid ASKS for the gifts and gets super mad and begs their parents for the gifts and gets super angry and then the kid gets what they want, thats spoling them. In this case they just got the gifts as a gift!
