Yes, just max the sliders. You can try to lower some of them a bit and get better stats, but I found there is a maximum value you can reach based on the materials used and tier of each of the designs. So you will end up will a variety of stats, but all the max value. And yes, use those banners that require no materials, there's a tier 5 version. That raises the value a lot. But any of them will help.
I saw this a few days ago but I was really sick at the time so I didn't leave a comment. This was really well done - the editing and information are top notch! I made a post promoting this so hopefully the info can spread to more people.
Dude it took me forever, but i finally got the polearms - that t4 Menavlion head for freaking 10k is insane. and then any fine steel you have left over i do the tier 5 head. What a freaking great pair of items to make. these are my new money makers for sure.
It takes a while to unlock that handle, but once it is, the rest of the polearm designs can be unlocked fast. Then you can craft polearm with which ever materials you have available.
Awesome video! I knew about the "throwing" shaft and the menavlion head being super good, but your breakdown explains everything so clearly! That rake-head and a town full of wood sounds like a really good way to make a ton of money...
The damage type affects the price it is sold at too. That is why it is best to make money using Jav/Pike because they only do 1 dmg type(Pierce) and you can boost that a lot and that will in turn make it worth a ton. Swords are not really a good money maker bc it has multiple damage types(Pierce,Cut,) and how it works is it goes off the top damage type number so make that damage the best you can for the most $!!
I used to make some swords for 50k plus. Don't remember the material though. The war scythe pine shaft would net me 48k if I had added stuff. I have pictures on my phone about it lol. They might have lowered the price for them though.
“Thrown” quality can be feature not a bug. Like Legionnaires used to have spear that they can throw imitating irl pilums or smth. Im not deep into how much sence this assumption has(may be with deep investigation it is really onle a bug not intended). Just saying it can be this
Well i concur with everything other than the throwing handle being 'broken'. If this is a mistake its one to keep, these weapons are very interesting to use in game. If they have a sale price issue then that can be adjusted - but I hope the added optional functionality is not removed.
@@hero_on_youtube yes i have, i like to give them to companions with spare slots. Ultimately they are heavy throwing spears, something that did exist in history - mainly for fighting elephants as I understand it. besides I think the beauty of having(or being) your own personal smith is making custom and exotic gear and these definitely fall under that category.
Perhaps it's worth adding that in the late game (if you still wanna get that huge money influx) you can not only look for pugios and tribal throwing knifes, but also buy the higher tier melee weapons (I prefer swords) and smelt them for the resources needed. Ofc your profit's gonna be significantly lower then when going for the cheapest sources possible, but you'll still be way in the money. Another thing is post battle looting. Unless you have a habit of taking everything and then browsing through it (or making compulsive troop donations), you may want to sort the battle loot by name (or was it type? - forgot the column name) instead of value (which the game actually always defaults to - saying that as a console player). You may be suprised how many good (smelt-wise) items are there - well at least every couple of battles. Also regarding battle loot - I have a tendency of taking everything that has "fine steel" in its name. Not gonna vouch for it 100%, as it's not always the case with other materials, but if I recall correctly these while smelting these weapons always give fine steel.
Good stuff for folks new to Bannerlord Money Printing. I do the same. I buy all of the 1h swords that have steel and/or fine steel to use to make my 2h polearms. As far as the profits being significantly lower, I wouldn't use the word significant, but a bit lower for sure. But in the long run, it really doesn't matter. I have a more recent video that breaks down how much you can get by just using the materials for a single pugio, which is over 40k. And those swords you buy for 8k can make similar or more profits. So getting 80% profit instead of 98% profit is pretty good for very little effort.
@@hero_on_youtube You're correct. I may have exaggerated with the "significant" part. In my head I just compared the price of 3 tirbal daggers (or pugios) which would be something like (dunno) 1.5k tops to the price of a t5-6 sword that can be something like 10 times that. Then again - with the right weapon, some perks and a bit of luck (modifiers) we're still talking about crafting a 60-70k weapon. When it comes to selling stuff (at least in the mid-late game) I usually dump all of my crafted stuff to a family member (I keep him/her in my army) so that they can sell all of that stuff and level their trade level as well. I'm not 100% sure whether the price increasing perks work in such instance (or whether these perks - I mean all of them - actually have an effect on the final price, but (hypothetically) the price of a sold item can be increased by (ofc I'm not taking into consideration that better builds just yield more money - I'm talking about selling the very same crafted item): 1) Artisan Smith (50% less trade penalty) 2) Trading in general (0,2% less penalty per lvl if I recall correctly) 3) Arms Dealer (lvl 22 roguery perk) - never got that one tbh (20% less trade penalty for selling weapons
T4 Menavlion Head is best , Steel is easier to get than fine steel and 10k for 1 steel ( Near 25k if you have smitihing & trading perks and 100 trade skill) is the most profitable.

Hey! I recently found your channel but I'm a huge fan, I'm wondering if you had any insight or any suggestions on what the most "educational" smithing recipe is. That is, which recipe can give you the most experience, either when smelted or smithed. I'm mostly sending this because I'm hoping to speedrun the game and most of the runs now revolve around a need to smith to make cash quickly like in Lesser_Scholar's videos. Additionally, if you don't find the question interesting but have some ideas of where I could begin to research this, I'd be really interested. Either way, thanks for the videos! You have an amazing radio voice and your editing is great, but the quality of its content is completely on another level!
Odd, this was marked as "held for review", and I didn't notice. To answer your question, there is a two-handed sword that is the most valuable weapon in the game, can be used to increase levels. Smelting a weapon and forging the same weapon give the same XP, however you can smelt more than you can forge in one day. But if you want money, then lower end two-handed swords can be worth over 10k each. Once I hit that value with those, I know I have unlimited funds. There is a Smithing Perk that makes them sell more money and two Trade Perks that work too, basically, the lower the trade penalty.
