    I personally think, this is still the most beautiful estate care around. Sadly Ford seems to cancel Mondeo completely, drifting away from practicality to fashion driven... so stupid

    X line is a nice spec in a Mondoe or Focus .Thank you for sharing your car experience.

    Got an early mk5 Titanium X with most of this kit. 180bhp, 46-53 mpg arpound town/mixed driving. Bit loud and 'clicky' when cold, but settles down and very quiet after 5 mins. Steering on the 19" rims can be quite twitchy, especially on uneven road surfaces which I find annoying. Stop start not working, nor the heated front screen. Battery is good, so not that.They are linked apparently, so going in to be checked next week. Overall, a very nice and good looking distinctive car.

    Great review Adam,i never forget a face,you remapped my Mondeo (the first) using an X3 handset back in the Dreamscience infancy days.Have you and Jared gone your separate ways now.I have a MK5 estate same engine as yours,have you put a map on yours ?

    great video! just an info, collision/city ctop work only with cars with licence plate. so licence plate is the key, car recognises that. as far as i know. its works perfectly in my focus

    Good review, some useful tips. Is the engine noticeably noisy when warmed up? (idle and on the move) ?

    Great no nonsense review. Might have missed it but what did you think of the seat comfort?

    Yes great review, loved my mk 5 mondeo 180, didnt find it to noisey actually, and the quiet cabin impressed me, only recently sold it as bought a smaller car now, but yes the mondeo is a great car.

      Mondeo's are fab, late models are extremely well built, excellent economy (76 mpg at average 56 mph on motorway) for diesel models. Smooth ride, great tech on board. I just wish they did a hot high performance version.

    enjoyable video, your right about the noise from that diesel engine, VERY noisy, i drive an 11 year old vw diesel with 185000 miles on it, sounds like a lexus in comparison to your mondeo, but at 5k miles, the engine`s not even run in "properly" yet, so it should become quieter.

    Interesting about the boot floor. I guess they aimed at having the floor level with the bottom of the tailgate and the seats. It would possibly be nearly deep enough for a full size spare too. (I really dislike space saver spares, they're really not suited to Australian roads.)
    Wish we got the manual here in Aus!

    ST-Line...LOL I drive an old ST220 and I never would change my Oldie ! Right it's an old-man drive but it's not(!) downsized and it works that good for years...

    Why dont you get the engine checked out, it's still under warranty! I've got same car 12k miles and it doesn't sound nowhere near as rough as yours.

    Good video but are you serious with your comment about being able to put the load cover away being silly?? Many times loading my Renault I've wished for somehow to get that thing out of the way. Sometimes you just have to leave the dumb thing at home, which takes preplanning. I consider this a excellent feature. As for lowering the boot floor, now it's uneven with the rear seats down. This is bad when loading something long and heavy
    Also I wish the Aussie Mondeo did that GPS antenna thing but there's no mention in the manual

    Which diesel engine? Certainly a noisey one.

  • @anthonywhite721

    Noise engine 🤔🤔 that car has carried out 9k miles not even had its first service. You will find after it’s first oil & filter change it will sound a lot better

      yup, done 40k miles in mine and the engine is pretty quiet for a diesel...

    Been looking at them myself but feel Ford now are just not cutting things now, some areas just look tacky and cheap and it sounds like an old tractor, they say you can't paint a turd but you can roll it in glitter.

    Too much technology within this car just like most modern cars these days. The problem is that how is one meant to driving safely by concentrating on the road, if at the same time, one is trying to figure out how to work out these so called in car technology???

    • @G4RY1159
      @G4RY1159 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree
      Settings for other settings, all this touch screen stuff is waaay over advanced, I wish they'd just keep certain things simple, give us Off & On

    Why anyone would buy these big useless kugas over a mondeo estate i never know

    • @davehughes6501
      @davehughes6501 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I argee. I was looking at the kuga but the boot space was tiny, although it does have a decent towing limit. I got a mondeo estate in the end

    • @kissmeraas
      @kissmeraas 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Kuga *isn't* big, though - it's based on the Focus, and is actually *shorter* than the Focus estate 🤔
