RIP!! Michael you are deeply missed my brother just cried the day he heard you had pass on he has all your music you had played at my brothers club in Louisiana,Missouri. He was trying to book you again but in the mean time you had pass on.He is sadden to not to be able to have you back. You are missed and love from the blues and your fans.We know where you are at and someday we all will meet again.
An awesome musician gone too soon. His band is tight. I especially like Wayne Sharp on that Hammond B-3. The music certainly tells a story. Thank God for technology and TH-cam. We can hear and watch this man who certainly mastered his craft.
great singer and guitar man. a real blues singer. i have never heard of him. so glad i found these videos. i hope he gets more well known. he is very talented.
That's where real value lives(in music, poetry, visual arts, etc)in the soul's sublime indescriptible vibration and in an angelic dedication and emotional implication and not in the tv-radio hiper-mega-ultra propagated trash in these days, garbage of those who call themself artists but their are not even shadows of the real artists(even a shadow tells something and has a vmeaning)and they will never be. Sorry for my bad english...
I've spoken with Mr. Burks about this song: He had no idea Led Zep did a song with the same title and in listening more closely it's is quite obvious this song is way different than the one Zep used in pretty much every USA show they did. Burks is a genuine good guy....not full of himself and very easy to approach and speak with......His band is beyond compare with Charles (Chuck) "Popcorn" Louden on the skins; Wayne Sharp on the B-3; and Terrence Grayson on bass....buy the cd's!!!
Michael Burks shames James Page on this tremendously fabulous cover of Led Zep's "Since I Been Lovin' You".....without the silly lyrics.....Burks sets that Les Paul on fire. When Burks comes your way....you best check him and the band out. This man does 2.5 and 3 hour sets!!!

Love and respect for you Michael,,,,you'll always be in my soul.
GOD REST HIS SOUL!!!!
I didn't even know of his passing until I just read these comments. Such a loss of a great musician who could sing and play with such passion.
This is truly amazing. I have always loved MICHAEL "IRON MAN" BURKS!
