I believe you when you say they live in depression. A decade ago or so, I had neighbors who lived across the street from me who were JW’S. She was a single mother of two boys and a daughter. They were very nice and polite people. But one day the eldest son took his life. Then a year or so latter the mother did as well. I oftentimes fell guilt for not speaking with them more often.
I believe you. I've talked with many and even in discussing with them you can see them almost just give up when they can't back up claims or get refuted (even politely). I always ask then their testimony and most of the time repentance and forgiveness is never mentioned. So when I bring up this lack of detail you can see them almost hang their heads in shame for forgetting something so basic. They are lost and in need of love and grace. They are not the enemy, they are the mission field and God is doing a work in freeing their bandage right now.

My best friend of 20+ years and I were die-hard Jehovah's Witnesses for 18 years, attending all of the conventions, meetings, door-to-door ministries, etc. Feeling unfulfilled and having many unanswered questions I began to rethink what I heard. COVID provided an opportunity to read the REAL Bible from cover to cover, supplementing integrity based online Bibical teachings and learned the truth of God's word for myself. After that, I could never go back; there was so much wrong with what Jehovah Witnesses taught; so much deception, confusion and untruths. For now, my friend is still a member but it is easy to see her struggling with the flood of information everywhere in social media exposing the organization for what it is- non Christian. I am so grateful to be serving God as He prescribes in the Bible, coming to know who Jesus and the Holy Spirit really are. I feel so sad for my friend and many like her and pray that they will wake up before it is too late. Our friendship has changed, of course because she is afraid to talk about the Bible but she also doesn't talk about "Jehovah" like she used to; hardly ever anymore. I think a major part is that since social media and TH-cam, outsiders have been able to learn what is inaccurate about the JW religion and how to respond to door knockers, many people rather than shut the door on the JWs, we have started engaging with them on the porch, asking questions and blowing holes in the belief, and they are leaving with seeds planted and questions. I once had a JW try to explain that none of will rise up and will be left on the earth (only their chosen goes to heaven), I then had her open her Bible to 2 thessonlians and showed her that believers will all rise to meet Jesus in the clouds. She slammed the book closed and hurried up my driveway…. I kept her card and pray for her all the time….she did mention that her family left the religion, so I assume more than just I are praying for her
The warning that there are dangers in the university is well taken but there are dangers in any path of living. We must make sure our witness of Christ, connection to the Holy Ghost and understanding of truth are strong enough to quench all the fiery darts of the adversary. That they are leaving but not finding a better path to Christ is a great sadness.

Churches are to be governed locally, within each congregation. There should be NO hierarchy. Congregations may work together to support missions and projects, but must not form a governing body. There are to be only two offices within a church... Pastors and Deacons.

"Imminent" is relative. Here is something for the scoffers to consider. In 2023, they reported a figure 8, 625, 042. A grand total 20,461,767 persons observed the memorial of Christ's death in the year 2023. These figures could be higher were it not for Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 to 2022 and of course the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war that has disrupted the lives of many people. I had two Jehovah's Witnesses visiting me for several months. They kept showing me their book that touted the trustworthiness of the bible. But every time I wanted them to study the bible with me, they refused and wanted me to get back to the book they brought with them. JWs are modern day Gnostics. They actually hate the word of God as delivered by the first century apostles and prophets. I mean when you have to change the words in the bible to get your theology to work then you know you're on the wrong track. JWs hate Jesus being the Son of God. They can't take it. They had to stop coming to my place because I wanted them to study the bible with me.

You know Jesus taught and preached about the Father(YHWH) as God (as the Hebrews already believed from the law, as they were expecting the appearance of the Christ. Luke 3:15) and his Father's Kingdom right? He didn't preach about a Trinity or about himself being God saying "Jesus is god"? Because those scriptures don't exist. Christ never said he was and isn't equal to the Father, but he "submitted" to the will of the God for the father's glory, even now as King in heaven with all authority given to him by his Sovereign, the Ancient of Days (Dan 7:13,14) & still in the future time period. (1 Cor 15:24) It's the reason he has God's (the father's) approval. Quoting a scripture about the thought reasoning and motivation of the pharisees to commit murder to prove something about christ is a bit silly if u think about it. JWs believe Christ is a divine being with all Authority in heaven as King, but still in service of the glory of the Father, the True God of gods, the Most High. Deut 10:17, Ps 2:2,6,7. 82:1, Dan 2:44,47. 1 Cor 8:4,5,6. Php 2:11.
I'm 62 now and when i was younger, the brother who studied with me urged me to go to bethel when i completed high school. However, my father, though a ministerial servant and eventually elder, was always practical and urged me to go to college and not local, but remote to help me become independent. Was the best decision he and I made; i retired last year at 61 in large part made possible by the job i had allowed me to save alot for retirement. Contrastly, in 1985, I had a young witness join my department at work after graduating university. Unfortunately 6 months in, she ended up resigning to pursue the full time ministry. I always wondered what happened to her.
Charles T. Russel was right about receiving guidance to understand the Bible. Such guidance must come from The Holy Spirit Himself or from a person who is confirmed having Holy Spirit. Other human philosophically inspired publications would consist of a case for apostasy since it would be defined as a deviation from either the faith, God's thoughts, or both. Each Christian must ask : How can you understand the Bible ? Who can you trust in having the Holy Spirit to help you understand the Bible ? How can you identify those who have The Holy Spirit ? The Bible has the answer. We need to pray more to God, in the name of Jesus, to receive Holy Spirit, instead of praying to men to give us the meaning of God's words. Jesus have said that the Father will give Holy Spirit generously to those who seek Him without any judgement or reproach. Many in the WT organization have switched their faith in the Holy Spirit for guidance to the holy watchtower magazine. The Bible should and must be the only book being opened, studied, and read in all Christian meetings and in all Evangelical religions. If you want to be entertained with other literature, let that be in your spare time. Preach only what the Bible says, though...
Clearly you are overcompensating for the fact that from AD 30 onwards ( and before in the OT) the church was faced with countering deviant theology. But that is part of the reason why the church has been gifted teachers. If you are even mildly aware of them it helps. The church is blessed with a quality of scholar and scholars in number today which is remarkable. The HS leads us into truth Give or take 30% of the letters are devoted to correction ). And even though appearing later in a more recognizeable form, the Gnostics are the no 1 problem. And they always lead one to misunderstand the Trinity. The WT is a place of fear and entrapment. Prayer for those one is in contact with in the WT is a bedrock need.

The knowledge of God is abundant and all you need is the Bible as your foundation. Everything else is icing on the cake. Holy Spirit is actively seeking for those who appreciate spiritual gifts. Jehovah is searching for those who worship in spirit and ( His ) truth and no one else's. There's good information in the WT publications. Some are very practical while others are questionable. It is like that everywhere in all religions.

My friend lives opposite JWs. He has an addiction to Alcohol which we have not neaten in three years. His JW neighbours have taken incredibly good care of him. Although they fail on the divinity of Christ, much of how they do church is far more biblical than anything i see in most of the churches i have been a part of. They put us to shame. Most churches are losing members and only keeping their people by making church fun. However, i am not sure how deep the faith is.
It is still very hard when you leave. I find myself praying not sure if I should call God Jehovah or what? I address Him as God the Father. I tell Him I am lost. Back in the 1970's I prayed to God to find the Truth about Him. The next day a JW knocked on my door and I bought a Truth Book. Was I misled? Didn't God answer me or why did He lead me to a cult? Was it the Truth that I found and somewhere down that road the gb became apostate themselves? I feel so alone and so lost. I begged Him to show me the Truth. Is He there ? Does He exist? Is it all a con? I was invited to Christmas Dinner this evening, the first in over 45 years. I ate it and it was with a family from another faith. We didn't discuss religion much. We didn't discuss Christmas. We only discussed history and cultures. I drove home feeling so alone, so sad. I just feel lost.
Surrender your questions and the confusion you feel to God like a child in your heart. You will know. You will realise you have already been taken out of lies. Ask only your Creator for the way. God is not a god of confusion, but a God of order. Believe He promised, you will find me if you seek me with your whole heart and your whole mind. You will see. The peace you seek is in the gospels. Search the word of God. Keep walking in faith. The storm will clear.
Jehovah/ Yahweh/ the hebrew Tetragrammaton or God as we call it is The Ultimate Reality which exists outside the dimensions of physical and non physical and is infact perfect intelligence itself. Everything emanates from this intelligence. The being we know as Jesus was created directly by God and therefore holds a very unique position. Thru Jesus, ALL else was created by the force of the holy spirit which is "God's active force" that enables things to happen. God has plans for man's future in hand but certain issues of justice need to resolve themselves first. Read the bible if you can because it is a product of holyspirit and will guide you to truth. Remember to Love God and love your fellow man.

Im an ex heathen and all that entails, I came to the God of Abraham because He said He was God and then proved it, as a Christian we don't have to have blind faith, we have an evidence based faith.
The last time a JW came to my door, I had a nice conversation and offered to give them one of my books. But they said they were not allowed to take anything not JW. Closed my door to the closed minds....
The worst thing that happened to Christians in general (not only JW) was the lack of questioning. Christians are not allowed or encouraged to question their faith. Yet, when we read Scripture, it is clear that those who came before us freely questioned God, faith, etc. Habakkuk, Job, Solomon, Thomas all had doubts which they freely presented to their Creator; And they received their answers! Scripture also clearly says that the Holy Spirit teachers individual Christians the Truth. Christ set us free, He is the Head of the Church, He is our teacher, by the Holy Spirit. When men set up themselves in the place of Christ and the Holy Spirit, teachings that are false are propagated because of fear of offending the larger group. At some point though, Christ, who is the Head of the Church comes to that individual and sets him free with Truth.

@juteandolive forgiveness is a tough one. For a new relationship to begin, you must forgive. With all of your heart. It's quite simple, and quite hard at the same time. Through Jesus, God forgave our sins. We're meant to forgive others as He forgave us. If it is difficult, ask Him to help you forgive. To unburden your heart. It might not be easy right now, but it is simple.
@@pointlesssowhat I know that forgiving isn't forgetting, as in "forgive and forget", forgiving is remembering with love and kindness, not pain. Forgiveness is very generous because its owner also need forgiving generosity in some form or fashion too. ALL hurt, have hurt, and have been hurt. All three, and all have. I think that kind of makes us equal is some regard, and we should all forgive each other, start over from scratch, sit back and laugh together while talking all about how stupid we all once were, but not now anymore though.
@willoughby1888 I understand what you're saying. The problem is that with the JW religion, things are more complicated than that. First, you're unjustly rejected, ostracised, and ignored by your own blood relatives, friends, and acquaintances from the JW. It's like you're literally dead to them. That's incredibly hurtful. I haven't gone through it, but I can comprehend how painful it must be that in one day you lose everyone you love and care for. Can't even fathom it. So essentially, you forgive without even with the hope that you'll ever have them in your life again. And that level of forgiveness and strength to continue is found in one person, and His name is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
@@pointlesssowhat I found that exact form of forgiveness. It wasn't hard to find and then keep. Let me please explain. In 1965, my own young mother held me while 4 adult men did horrible unmentionable things as I, her own son, screamed, cried and begged for them to stop. My 2 close-in-age sisters were right there watching everything up close, laughing at me and saying very horrible things to torment me while I was being traumatized. Afterward, I had to 'repress' the memories all my life so I wouldn't become a walking funeral you'd want to sadly remove your hat as I quietly passed you by on the sidewalk. It worked. Many horrible things had happened to me by my family and friends who they told everything to later, tormenting thongs to distract me from the super-traumatic thing they had done that one afternoon in order to help me forget my childhood by the time I was 10. Well, the memories all returned in full vivid detail on March 17 2021, and after crying for 3 days and nights I finally messaged my family on social media letting them know I recalled everything in detail, and I said it was "Goodbye" for good, and to just leave me alone. All my life they've answered phones and sent me cards and gifts, but rarely a sincere letter to prove their love isn't words simply pre-printed on a birthday or Christmas card. I haven't heard even a peep from my mother and sister since spelling out what I remembered them doing to me when I was only 8, and innocent and loving, my younger sister died of ovarian cancer before she could find out I remembered everything. I still love them with all my heart and mind though. Always have, always will. Love is love and nothing else or it would be compromised. They were "just sick", and probably still are, I suppose. Forgiveness is very easy when there's love involved, and there to fall back on. JESUS provided me THE WAY though. What's inside me is there because I learned about Him and His Father, our heavenly creator, and hopefully one day The Holy Spirit will come be my helper too, along with certain guardian angels. I worked in a ministry form late 1960;s until the 1980's. I have a extensive collection of JW material. I have many year books and a green 1950 edition of the New World Translation of the Christion Greek Scriptures. God Bless you work.

Ex-JW for 40+ years. I live with my 80 y/0 mother who has been in this organization for 55 years now. She has remained loyal to the Watchtower through all the scandals and false prophecies for decades and I fear that the crumbling of her beloved religion will cause her failing health to decline further. Please pray for her and me because I know in my heart that no revelation of false teachings, false prophecies, hypocrisies, or even blatant lies will cause her to abandon the JW's. She has stood up to criticism from her family for decades and even managed to convert two of her sisters (deceased) and several of my cousins, so she is formidable in her rhetoric and ability to delude herself. Simple stuff is not gonna cut it with her like the newbies that knock on your door. They constantly preach that ANY attack or accusation against the Watchtower is from Satan and is motivated by fear and hatred of "the truth," so we don't discuss religion, but I pray that God will open a door for me to plant a seed. My late father was very hostile towards her religion, and later towards her, which was extremely hurtful. I'm not going to lie to her or deny any truths that I know from the Word, but I don't want her to think I'm going to start a campaign against her. That would not be fruitful, because she is deeply devoted to them and believes she is one of the 144,000 from Revelation. It's a tough situation but I pray God will show me the right way to handle the final (hopefully) years of her life.
As a northern European who faded in 2017 I cannot remember the last time I seen a outsider, ethic educated white man, get baptized. Its always a immigrant who left some war torn hellhole, a single mommy with 5 kids for the congregation to look after, or some junkie with serious mental issues.

About 40 years ago I interviewed a former JW. Even that far back she told me that for every new convert, at least one (and probably more) exit the "organization." Two, he said to one of those friends, "Can you imagine the Apostle Paul counting time?"
So you hate the religion founded by Christ himself. Now what? Do you not know that even Christ himself picked amongst his own disciples, a traitor? Point being, looking for a perfect religion here on earth, is neither helpful nor a good start to ones spiritual journey. Accepting one is, and therefore any denomination is also, comprised of sinful beings, ones spiritual journey requires a working towards perfection. As to which denomination is the right, ergo only true one worth of belief, that requires, research with an open mind, humility to accept that millions have preceded you and humility to accept that no living person 'knoweth the mind of God', not even the most learned amongst us. Here is a little more to help you out. 1 John 2: "19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." John talks of a separation as he and the apostles and Christians taught the Word which, in John 1, he says is Christ. If those who separated themselves from the Word (or Christ) had a contrary message, then they had a false word (or false Christ) to declare and teach. A false Christ is a Christ in place of the True Christ. Therefore, the ones who went out from the True Christians in the days of the apostles were of the Antichrist and they had the Antichrist as their leader. Thus, the Antichrist was in existence just after Christ departed, just as Christ warned of and just as the apostles declared. The Antichrist is still in existence and will preach a false gospel until the day he is revealed and removed by God in the last days.
They claim that only the 144,000 will go to heaven. Out of 8 billion people?! Revelations reveal the 144,000 which comes from the 12 tribes of Israel. I asked a JW follower which Jewish tribe do they come from. They looked dumbfounded at my comment.
Far more than 8 billion! You have to calculate the number of birth since that time JW claimed that dogma to get the proper number. Plus the number of those, who were alive then.
Revelation 14:4-5 indicates they are “firstfruits” and virgins that haven’t been with a woman. I think this also implies they will be men who have lived exemplary lives and remained faithful to God through the tribulation until their deaths. Being married, I’m already disqualified from this group. Don’t assume all the best rewards are for you. We’re not the main characters in this story.
As an ex-JW for about 20 years now, I am finding it increasingly difficult to differentiate between those devoted to supporting Watchtower and those devoted to shaming JW’s and their leadership. While I obviously still retain a level of interest in the goings on of Watchtower, what I observe on both sides of the divide only serves to solidify the idea that the finding of God is not accomplished by choosing sides between opposing individuals or groups that seek to find comfort and validation through disagreement and debate. What if Watchtower prospers? What if Watchtower struggles and shrinks? What possible long term personal growth comes from cheering one dynamic over the other? Did Watchtowers past growth spurt in of itself prove their claims of Divine support? Does their current challenges prove the opposite, and if it does, how to explain the growth times? Is God truly invested in these somewhat pathetic attempts to define one’s relationship with God by fiat? All authoritative constructs, be it political or religious, ‘work’ for a time and then seem to eventually fall of their own weight. But as short lived mortals our biggest struggle involves perspective, the challenge of seeing the big picture. And the natural growth toward a more balanced and reasonable way of conducting our affairs in this life has always been, and likely will continue to be built upon the backs of inferior attempts and the lessons those attempts taught us. Not nearly as compelling or sexy as a humanly constructed ‘emergency’ that requires a sense of all hands on deck, but are we truly lovers of truth or not?
Shaming anyone is not the Gospel. The truth not shame sets people free. And the truth is found in the person of Jesus Christ. Pilate asks " Quod ist veritas?" And ultimate truth is standing in front of him. If one has doubts that Christ is the Victor , he has paid a price ( not to the adversary!) to redeem men and women , that all the other metaphors signifying Gods rescue are valid -and that the Kingdom of God actually commenced to extend his reign in circa AD30 and that in turn is leading to the people of God ( in all their various hues ) being transformed so that by their humility and the power of God through the working if the HS they will impact their own lives and communities. The people of God challenge wrong , they speak out for those in need. It is the inverted pyramid of sacrificed lives for his glory. The opposition exists because the clock is running on the end of evil.

As a bible belueving christian, i believe the end of this world which is the earth because God will make a new heaven and a new earth. This present world will end at the second coming of Jesus. Rev. 1:7, 1Thes.4:16-17. Rev. 21:1. The bible has told us many times that this world will end,but the Roman Catholic church teaches that the world will not end......Glory be to the father, to the son,and to the holy spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be WORLD WITHOUT END.

What does "having God's name" have to do with anything? First of all, God has several names (in addition to Jehovah) that he allowed himself to be called by. They are ALL in the Bible, and Christians everywhere use them. There are entire books that focus on the significance of the names of God, and they are currently in print. (So, I don't know who told you that silliness.) Do you know... El Elyon El Shaddai Adonai Elohim Note that none of these was considered to be God's "name"...at least not by the the Hebrews of old or by the believers in the early church...but that's a whole study on the power of names in ancient cultures, which I won't get into here. Suffice it to say, that Ashera (one of the false goddesses mentioned in the Bible) supposedly derived her power from knowing the actual name of Ba'al...because Ba'al is NOT his actual name. Ba'al was a title. (Again, a basic study of ancient cultures will show you this, if you care to look into it.) So, your chanting about having the REAL name of God sounds (to me) a lot like what Ashera's devotees would have said back then. While we're at it, what all of you JWs pronounce as "Je-ho-vah" is really a MIS-pronunciation of the Hebrew word anyway. Anybody who has ever been to Israel knows they pronounce J's as Y's. The word Yahweh is closer to the ACTUAL pronunciation of the word you all misuse. Your organization has its own abominable Bible which is neither faithful NOR discreet. It purposely mis-translates words from the original languages. This is a well-documented fact which can be corroborated by simply looking at older editions of their Bible (where you will see new changes made over time), and by looking at the Interlinear Greek New Testament published by the Watchtower itself (now long out of print). They changed the words to be able to dupe you about the deity of Christ & the personhood of the Holy Spirit. Your organization fails to interpret the book of Revelation correctly, because they purposely mis-translate it. (Again, this is clearly documented & can be looked into if you choose to, using the Watchtower's own publications.) Nevertheless even you can read Revelation in the current version of the NWT where it says: all glory, praise, honor, power, worship, etc. will be given unto the Lamb, to the pleasure of Jehovah. If this is the case, then how do you explain this verse... "I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." -Isaiah 42:8 NWT If Jehovah will NOT give or share his glory with another, and yet he gives it ALL to the Lamb...what does this indicate? Add to this your whole "stauros" argument about the "torture stake" not being a "t" shape. This is disproven by simply reading the writings of the early church fathers, who made mention of the significance of the shape of the cross upon which Jesus died. You can look up & read for yourself the writings of Justin Martyr from 100 AD, where he describes it as: the arms outstretched for an embrace, the intersection between the nose line on a face, the shape of a sail on a ship's mast, a plow as it digs into the earth, and other images. It's not a pole, like the organization has made such a big deal out of. A simple study of history will show you: THEY ARE MISTAKEN. And if they are mistaken about these things-in some cases purposely at odds with original scripture-how can you consider them faithful or discreet? The early church fathers spoke of this God as one who has NO NAME. "There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." The only way we can know the father & be saved from the wrath to come is through the work of our Almighty Savior, JESUS CHRIST. He said: if you are not God's child you are Satan's child. So, whose child are you? "Having ears they hear not." "Having eyes they see not." Is this you? Or will you look & listen.

I just can't do that, I saw God when I was a small, hurting, 8-year-old innocent little boy who had faithful cried my heart out for Him to come save me from abuse while shedding many tears, honest ones that held love for my abusers not just those "poor me" ones(though I had lots of those too). Instead of God coming, an angel came to invite me to speak with God, if I still wanted. I told the angel that I did. Then, I did. Then, I did again and again soon after the first quick 'visit'. I'm an old man now, too tired to lie or try to win any battles over politics and religion. I don't even enjoy watching the show. So I can tell people that I honestly know what I experienced was then and is now also true. I had one vision and a set of ten dreams that were not anything like 'sleeping dreams' are, nor of this earthly realm. The vision and dreams are why "I believe in there being a loving creator" and can't do anything otherwise even if I wanted, nor if I was offered lots of valuable thing I super wished I had. I know God and angels watch God's creation from another hidden realm. That "God" is like nothing I've heard people describe. That God emits something that looks like energy particles from the light that surrounds Him and those particles feel like "love" when they hit you lightly. I could elaborate very long, and somewhat in detail regarding those 'dreams' and what I long ago experienced, but I honestly doubt you'd believe me. Some things a person just has to experience themselves in order to "believe" without fret like I do. Ok. The FBI pretty much said the same thing after I had escaped capture just a few weeks after turning 20 years old. They said "wait until you're over 50, maybe 60, then we'll all be gone here so it won't be any of our problem and people will just think you're a crazy old man like all the others if you tell them all that happened to you... ha ha ha." Thank you for the video. I follow what you say about JW leaving their faith, but I fear it may be for the wrong reasons. People should leave because of the faulty theology of JW. If they leave for other reasons, the possibility is high that they may fall further into other false worldly idolatries. An ex-friend as an ex-JW is now further away from Jesus as Savior and God. He is sinking into his own twisted philosophy of trusting in his own strength because "Jehovah" has brought him more unhappiness. This is very sad.
My question is why have any of those leaving go to other churches or start their own religion. It seem to me if you believe in God you will find a better religion out there instead of wasting time on the JWs. They just went to 9 million so why Waste time 100000 is barely 1% of the total they make that up with just two or three assemblies world wide . The "faithful and discreet slave" is a duty of any Christian to delve into the Bible and in prayer so that he/ she can give spiritual sustenance to their families or people they come across. It's not a separate body of people that the JW make it to be.

Jehovah’s witnesses aren’t hated. The world barely knows who and what they are. Jws are considered to be a harmless slightly kooky Christian sect by those on the outside. That isn’t hate, it’s indifference.
According to Matthew 10:22 Jesus says “You will be hated because of me”. No one hates you because of Jesus. It’s your trust and loyalty in men. It’s following men that claim they speak for God and they’re the only ones that can interpret the Bible. Jehovah’s Holy Spirit directs them yet they can’t seem to understand what the direction is and need to change it.

And if a person is unable to go out knocking on doors, for any reason, even a minor one like sickness, then they must send a body part like a thumb or finger along with another door-knocker to be able to rack up their own numbers accordingly. My son is a member of this organization. He got married, and due to their teaching, he believes that they should not have children in this age because it's too evil.

I came back after about 30 years. Sinned as much as I could when gone, and looked at many many other faiths. JW's are not perfect but for me they have the Truth, or parts, but are missing some things. Expressed as a percentage, I believe 80 to 90 percent, the 20 percent is put on faith. We are wrong about some things I am sure but in time all will be revealed
Any organization that denies Jesus, claims not everyone is anointed, and you can only be saved by joining a man-made organization is not the truth but from the pit of hell with the aim of closing off the road of salvation to the people seeking it. No one is worthy but will are all loved by God that's why he sent his son to die for us. The sin debt has been paid and everyone will be reconciled back to God in due time. It is not by works but by God grace that we are saved and the curse of Adam will be undone when God finally destroys the last enemy death and then God will be all in all.

I could not exist in that culture. My aunt basically would have nothing to do with my dad. They self isolated themselves from family and community. Too many fastidious religious practice that steer away from “loving one another.”

Are the lives of my family members improving since they left? Not at all. One was playing with his child, who he no longer lives with, when in broad daylight, some one broke down his front door gaining access to his house in order to threaten the child that if he didn’t give him the keys to his car, he would endanger the child’s life. Another family member has tried to restrict his 17 year old daughter from engaging with my wife, but having just had a baby out of wedlock, she now sends images of her newborn to other family members knowing full well that those images will end up on my wife’s phone. People leaving the faith has never been a problem to Jehovah’s Witnesses because it’s expected as Matthew 24 explains. Of course God wants people to follow his guidelines from the scriptures but, he’s not desperate if they don’t, after all we all have a free will. Most of the offspring of my family are bringing up children having been abandoned by their partners, even two of my own children have done exactly that. Is that not a more serious matter? If your expectations are to be proud of your children’s success in life, please be open minded about your expectations. My sister spent a lot of money putting her children through a university education only to see one becoming a window cleaner and the other a van driver, nothing wrong with either in my opinion, but when you inspect what you expect, at least show some respect. Blood is not necessarily thicker than water

Didn't the Jehovah Witness read about the prophet Daniel saying a time is coming when everything shall change ? That time is now,as the ushering in of the Internet has changed the times because it now takes a second to see and to understand what is happening around you. Not so long ago,it took a week or two to receive a letter that has being sent to you. It only takes a second or two to receive a message that is meant for you and that is what makes the great difference. I have never known what the Jehovah Witness talked about even though they professed to teach about Jesus Christ. Behold,the Word can be transformed into fishes and bread to feed the multitude,and the painful part is most people come to the Word,not because of the salvation of their souls but because they can be fed with the fishes and bread !

I believe you when you say they live in depression. A decade ago or so, I had neighbors who lived across the street from me who were JW’S. She was a single mother of two boys and a daughter. They were very nice and polite people. But one day the eldest son took his life. Then a year or so latter the mother did as well. I oftentimes fell guilt for not speaking with them more often.

I believe you. I've talked with many and even in discussing with them you can see them almost just give up when they can't back up claims or get refuted (even politely).
I always ask then their testimony and most of the time repentance and forgiveness is never mentioned. So when I bring up this lack of detail you can see them almost hang their heads in shame for forgetting something so basic.
They are lost and in need of love and grace. They are not the enemy, they are the mission field and God is doing a work in freeing their bandage right now.

My best friend of 20+ years and I were die-hard Jehovah's Witnesses for 18 years, attending all of the conventions, meetings, door-to-door ministries, etc. Feeling unfulfilled and having many unanswered questions I began to rethink what I heard. COVID provided an opportunity to read the REAL Bible from cover to cover, supplementing integrity based online Bibical teachings and learned the truth of God's word for myself. After that, I could never go back; there was so much wrong with what Jehovah Witnesses taught; so much deception, confusion and untruths. For now, my friend is still a member but it is easy to see her struggling with the flood of information everywhere in social media exposing the organization for what it is- non Christian. I am so grateful to be serving God as He prescribes in the Bible, coming to know who Jesus and the Holy Spirit really are. I feel so sad for my friend and many like her and pray that they will wake up before it is too late. Our friendship has changed, of course because she is afraid to talk about the Bible but she also doesn't talk about "Jehovah" like she used to; hardly ever anymore. I think a major part is that since social media and TH-cam, outsiders have been able to learn what is inaccurate about the JW religion and how to respond to door knockers, many people rather than shut the door on the JWs, we have started engaging with them on the porch, asking questions and blowing holes in the belief, and they are leaving with seeds planted and questions. I once had a JW try to explain that none of will rise up and will be left on the earth (only their chosen goes to heaven), I then had her open her Bible to 2 thessonlians and showed her that believers will all rise to meet Jesus in the clouds. She slammed the book closed and hurried up my driveway…. I kept her card and pray for her all the time….she did mention that her family left the religion, so I assume more than just I are praying for her
The warning that there are dangers in the university is well taken but there are dangers in any path of living.
We must make sure our witness of Christ, connection to the Holy Ghost and understanding of truth are strong enough to quench all the fiery darts of the adversary.
That they are leaving but not finding a better path to Christ is a great sadness.

I had two Jehovah's Witnesses visiting me for several months. They kept showing me their book that touted the trustworthiness of the bible. But every time I wanted them to study the bible with me, they refused and wanted me to get back to the book they brought with them.
JWs are modern day Gnostics. They actually hate the word of God as delivered by the first century apostles and prophets. I mean when you have to change the words in the bible to get your theology to work then you know you're on the wrong track.
JWs hate Jesus being the Son of God. They can't take it. They had to stop coming to my place because I wanted them to study the bible with me.

You know Jesus taught and preached about the Father(YHWH) as God (as the Hebrews already believed from the law, as they were expecting the appearance of the Christ. Luke 3:15) and his Father's Kingdom right?
He didn't preach about a Trinity or about himself being God saying "Jesus is god"? Because those scriptures don't exist.
Christ never said he was and isn't equal to the Father, but he "submitted" to the will of the God for the father's glory, even now as King in heaven with all authority given to him by his Sovereign, the Ancient of Days (Dan 7:13,14) & still in the future time period. I'm 62 now and when i was younger, the brother who studied with me urged me to go to bethel when i completed high school. However, my father, though a ministerial servant and eventually elder, was always practical and urged me to go to college and not local, but remote to help me become independent. Was the best decision he and I made; i retired last year at 61 in large part made possible by the job i had allowed me to save alot for retirement. Contrastly, in 1985, I had a young witness join my department at work after graduating university. Unfortunately 6 months in, she ended up resigning to pursue the full time ministry. I always wondered what happened to her.

Charles T. Russel was right about receiving guidance to understand the Bible. Such guidance must come from The Holy Spirit Himself or from a person who is confirmed having Holy Spirit.

How can you understand the Bible ?

We need to pray more to God, in the name of Jesus, to receive Holy Spirit, instead of praying to men to give us the meaning of God's words.
Jesus have said that the Father will give Holy Spirit generously to those who seek Him without any judgement or reproach.
Many in the WT organization have switched their faith in the Holy Spirit for guidance to the holy watchtower magazine.
The Bible should and must be the only book being opened, studied, and read in all Christian meetings and in all Evangelical religions.

Clearly you are overcompensating for the fact that from AD 30 onwards ( and before in the OT) the church was faced with countering deviant theology. But that is part of the reason why the church has been gifted teachers. If you are even mildly aware of them it helps. The church is blessed with a quality of scholar and scholars in number today which is remarkable. The HS leads us into truth Give or take 30% of the letters are devoted to correction ). And even though appearing later in a more recognizeable form, the Gnostics are the no 1 problem. And they always lead one to misunderstand the Trinity.

My friend lives opposite JWs. He has an addiction to Alcohol which we have not neaten in three years. His JW neighbours have taken incredibly good care of him. Although they fail on the divinity of Christ, much of how they do church is far more biblical than anything i see in most of the churches i have been a part of. They put us to shame.
Most churches are losing members and only keeping their people by making church fun. However, i am not sure how deep the faith is.
It is still very hard when you leave. I find myself praying not sure if I should call God Jehovah or what? I address Him as God the Father. I tell Him I am lost. Back in the 1970's I prayed to God to find the Truth about Him. The next day a JW knocked on my door and I bought a Truth Book. Was I misled? Didn't God answer me or why did He lead me to a cult? Was it the Truth that I found and somewhere down that road the gb became apostate themselves? I feel so alone and so lost. I begged Him to show me the Truth. Is He there ? Does He exist? Is it all a con? I was invited to Christmas Dinner this evening, the first in over 45 years. I ate it and it was with a family from another faith. We didn't discuss religion much. We didn't discuss Christmas. We only discussed history and cultures. I drove home feeling so alone, so sad. I just feel lost.
Surrender your questions and the confusion you feel to God like a child in your heart. You will know. You will realise you have already been taken out of lies. Ask only your Creator for the way. God is not a god of confusion, but a God of order. Believe He promised, you will find me if you seek me with your whole heart and your whole mind. You will see. The peace you seek is in the gospels. Search the word of God. Keep walking in faith. The storm will clear.
Jehovah/ Yahweh/ the hebrew Tetragrammaton or God as we call it is The Ultimate Reality which exists outside the dimensions of physical and non physical and is infact perfect intelligence itself. Everything emanates from this intelligence. The being we know as Jesus was created directly by God and therefore holds a very unique position. Im an ex heathen and all that entails, I came to the God of Abraham because He said He was God and then proved it, as a Christian we don't have to have blind faith, we have an evidence based faith.
The last time a JW came to my door, I had a nice conversation and offered to give them one of my books. But they said they were not allowed to take anything not JW. Closed my door to the closed minds....
The worst thing that happened to Christians in general (not only JW) was the lack of questioning. Christians are not allowed or encouraged to question their faith. Yet, when we read Scripture, it is clear that those who came before us freely questioned God, faith, etc. Habakkuk, Job, Solomon, Thomas all had doubts which they freely presented to their Creator; And they received their answers! Scripture also clearly says that the Holy Spirit teachers individual Christians the Truth. Christ set us free, He is the Head of the Church, He is our teacher, by the Holy Spirit. When men set up themselves in the place of Christ and the Holy Spirit, teachings that are false are propagated because of fear of offending the larger group. At some point though, Christ, who is the Head of the Church comes to that individual and sets him free with Truth.

@juteandolive forgiveness is a tough one. For a new relationship to begin, you must forgive. With all of your heart. It's quite simple, and quite hard at the same time. Through Jesus, God forgave our sins. We're meant to forgive others as He forgave us. If it is difficult, ask Him to help you forgive. To unburden your heart. It might not be easy right now, but it is simple.
@@pointlesssowhat I know that forgiving isn't forgetting, as in "forgive and forget", forgiving is remembering with love and kindness, not pain. Forgiveness is very generous because its owner also need forgiving generosity in some form or fashion too. ALL hurt, have hurt, and have been hurt. All three, and all have. I think that kind of makes us equal is some regard, and we should all forgive each other, start over from scratch, sit back and laugh together while talking all about how stupid we all once were, but not now anymore though.
@willoughby1888 I understand what you're saying. The problem is that with the JW religion, things are more complicated than that. First, you're unjustly rejected, ostracised, and ignored by your own blood relatives, friends, and acquaintances from the JW. It's like you're literally dead to them. That's incredibly hurtful. I haven't gone through it, but I can comprehend how painful it must be that in one day you lose everyone you love and care for. Can't even fathom it.
So essentially, you forgive without even with the hope that you'll ever have them in your life again. And that level of forgiveness and strength to continue is found in one person, and His name is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

In 1965, my own young mother held me while 4 adult men did horrible unmentionable things as I, her own son, screamed, cried and begged for them to stop. My 2 close-in-age sisters were right there watching everything up close, laughing at me and saying very horrible things to torment me while I was being traumatized. Afterward, I had to 'repress' the memories all my life so I wouldn't become a walking funeral you'd want to sadly remove your hat as I quietly passed you by on the sidewalk. It worked. Many horrible things had happened to me by my family and friends who they told everything to later, tormenting thongs to distract me from the super-traumatic thing they had done that one afternoon in order to help me forget my childhood by the time I was 10. Well, the memories all returned in full vivid detail on March 17 2021, and after crying for 3 days and nights I finally messaged my family on social media letting them know I recalled everything in detail, and I said it was "Goodbye" for good, and to just leave me alone. All my life they've answered phones and sent me cards and gifts, but rarely a sincere letter to prove their love isn't words simply pre-printed on a birthday or Christmas card. I haven't heard even a peep from my mother and sister since spelling out what I remembered them doing to me when I was only 8, and innocent and loving, my younger sister died of ovarian cancer before she could find out I remembered everything. I still love them with all my heart and mind though. Always have, always will. Love is love and nothing else or it would be compromised. They were "just sick", and probably still are, I suppose. Forgiveness is very easy when there's love involved, and there to fall back on. JESUS provided me THE WAY though. What's inside me is there because I learned about Him and His Father, our heavenly creator, and hopefully one day The Holy Spirit will come be my helper too, along with certain guardian angels. Ex-JW for 40+ years. I live with my 80 y/0 mother who has been in this organization for 55 years now. She has remained loyal to the Watchtower through all the scandals and false prophecies for decades and I fear that the crumbling of her beloved religion will cause her failing health to decline further. Please pray for her and me because I know in my heart that no revelation of false teachings, false prophecies, hypocrisies, or even blatant lies will cause her to abandon the JW's. She has stood up to criticism from her family for decades and even managed to convert two of her sisters (deceased) and several of my cousins, so she is formidable in her rhetoric and ability to delude herself. Simple stuff is not gonna cut it with her like the newbies that knock on your door.
They constantly preach that ANY attack or accusation against the Watchtower is from Satan and is motivated by fear and hatred of "the truth," so we don't discuss religion, but I pray that God will open a door for me to plant a seed. My late father was very hostile towards her religion, and later towards her, which was extremely hurtful. I'm not going to lie to her or deny any truths that I know from the Word, but I don't want her to think I'm going to start a campaign against her. That would not be fruitful, because she is deeply devoted to them and believes she is one of the 144,000 from Revelation. It's a tough situation but I pray God will show me the right way to handle the final (hopefully) years of her life.
As a northern European who faded in 2017 I cannot remember the last time I seen a outsider, ethic educated white man, get baptized.

About 40 years ago I interviewed a former JW. Even that far back she told me that for every new convert, at least one (and probably more) exit the "organization." I knew another former JW who lived and worked at headquarters. He was disfellowshipped for two things... one, he and a few friends were reading the Bible. Two, he said to one of those friends, "Can you imagine the Apostle Paul counting time?"

Thus, the Antichrist was in existence just after Christ departed, just as Christ warned of and just as the apostles declared.

They claim that only the 144,000 will go to heaven. Out of 8 billion people?! Revelations reveal the 144,000 which comes from the 12 tribes of Israel. I asked a JW follower which Jewish tribe do they come from. They looked dumbfounded at my comment.

Remember that they subscribe to replacement theology, that Israel has been replaced by them. They never read Romans 11.
Revelation 14:4-5 indicates they are “firstfruits” and virgins that haven’t been with a woman. I think this also implies they will be men who have lived exemplary lives and remained faithful to God through the tribulation until their deaths. Being married, I’m already disqualified from this group. Don’t assume all the best rewards are for you. We’re not the main characters in this story.

As an ex-JW for about 20 years now, I am finding it increasingly difficult to differentiate between those devoted to supporting Watchtower and those devoted to shaming JW’s and their leadership.
While I obviously still retain a level of interest in the goings on of Watchtower, what I observe on both sides of the divide only serves to solidify the idea that the finding of God is not accomplished by choosing sides between opposing individuals or groups that seek to find comfort and validation through disagreement and debate.
What if Watchtower prospers? What if Watchtower struggles and shrinks? What possible long term personal growth comes from cheering one dynamic over the other? Did Watchtowers past growth spurt in of itself prove their claims of Divine support? Does their current challenges prove the opposite, and if it does, how to explain the growth times? Is God truly invested in these somewhat pathetic attempts to define one’s relationship with God by fiat?
All authoritative constructs, be it political or religious, ‘work’ for a time and then seem to eventually fall of their own weight.
But as short lived mortals our biggest struggle involves perspective, the challenge of seeing the big picture. And the natural growth toward a more balanced and reasonable way of conducting our affairs in this life has always been, and likely will continue to be built upon the backs of inferior attempts and the lessons those attempts taught us.
Not nearly as compelling or sexy as a humanly constructed ‘emergency’ that requires a sense of all hands on deck, but are we truly lovers of truth or not?

First of all, God has several names (in addition to Jehovah) that he allowed himself to be called by. They are ALL in the Bible, and Christians everywhere use them. Ba'al was a title. (Again, a basic study of ancient cultures will show you this, if you care to look into it.) So, your chanting about having the REAL name of God sounds (to me) a lot like what Ashera's devotees would have said back then.
While we're at it, what all of you JWs pronounce as "Je-ho-vah" is really a MIS-pronunciation of the Hebrew word anyway. Anybody who has ever been to Israel knows they pronounce J's as Y's. The word Yahweh is closer to the ACTUAL pronunciation of the word you all misuse.
Your organization has its own abominable Bible which is neither faithful NOR discreet. It purposely mis-translates words from the original languages. This is a well-documented fact which can be corroborated by simply looking at older editions of their Bible (where you will see new changes made over time), and by looking at the Interlinear Greek New Testament published by the Watchtower itself (now long out of print). They changed the words to be able to dupe you about the deity of Christ & the personhood of the Holy Spirit.
Your organization fails to interpret the book of Revelation correctly, because they purposely mis-translate it. (Again, this is clearly documented & can be looked into if you choose to, using the Watchtower's own publications.) Nevertheless even you can read Revelation in the current version of the NWT where it says: all glory, praise, honor, power, worship, etc. will be given unto the Lamb, to the pleasure of Jehovah. If this is the case, then how do you explain this verse...
"I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images."

If Jehovah will NOT give or share his glory with another, and yet he gives it ALL to the Lamb...what does this indicate?
Add to this your whole "stauros" argument about the "torture stake" not being a "t" shape. This is disproven by simply reading the writings of the early church fathers, who made mention of the significance of the shape of the cross upon which Jesus died. You can look up & read for yourself the writings of Justin Martyr from 100 AD, where he describes it as: the arms outstretched for an embrace, the intersection between the nose line on a face, the shape of a sail on a ship's mast, a plow as it digs into the earth, and other images. It's not a pole, like the organization has made such a big deal out of. A simple study of history will show you: THEY ARE MISTAKEN. And if they are mistaken about these things-in some cases purposely at odds with original scripture-how can you consider them faithful or discreet?

I just can't do that, I saw God when I was a small, hurting, 8-year-old innocent little boy who had faithful cried my heart out for Him to come save me from abuse while shedding many tears, honest ones that held love for my abusers not just those "poor me" ones(though I had lots of those too). Instead of God coming, an angel came to invite me to speak with God, if I still wanted. I told the angel that I did. Then, I did. Then, I did again and again soon after the first quick 'visit'. I'm an old man now, too tired to lie or try to win any battles over politics and religion. I don't even enjoy watching the show. So I can tell people that I honestly know what I experienced was then and is now also true. I had one vision and a set of ten dreams that were not anything like 'sleeping dreams' are, nor of this earthly realm. The vision and dreams are why "I believe in there being a loving creator" and can't do anything otherwise even if I wanted, nor if I was offered lots of valuable thing I super wished I had. I know God and angels watch God's creation from another hidden realm. That "God" is like nothing I've heard people describe. That God emits something that looks like energy particles from the light that surrounds Him and those particles feel like "love" when they hit you lightly. I could elaborate very long, and somewhat in detail regarding those 'dreams' and what I long ago experienced, but I honestly doubt you'd believe me. Some things a person just has to experience themselves in order to "believe" without fret like I do. Ok. The FBI pretty much said the same thing after I had escaped capture just a few weeks after turning 20 years old. They said "wait until you're over 50, maybe 60, then we'll all be gone here so it won't be any of our problem and people will just think you're a crazy old man like all the others if you tell them all that happened to you... ha ha ha." I follow what you say about JW leaving their faith, but I fear it may be for the wrong reasons. People should leave because of the faulty theology of JW. If they leave for other reasons, the possibility is high that they may fall further into other false worldly idolatries.
An ex-friend as an ex-JW is now further away from Jesus as Savior and God. He is sinking into his own twisted philosophy of trusting in his own strength because "Jehovah" has brought him more unhappiness. This is very sad.

Jehovah’s witnesses aren’t hated. The world barely knows who and what they are. Jws are considered to be a harmless slightly kooky Christian sect by those on the outside. That isn’t hate, it’s indifference.
According to Matthew 10:22 Jesus says “You will be hated because of me”.
No one hates you because of Jesus. It’s your trust and loyalty in men. It’s following men that claim they speak for God and they’re the only ones that can interpret the Bible. Jehovah’s Holy Spirit directs them yet they can’t seem to understand what the direction is and need to change it.

I came back after about 30 years. Sinned as much as I could when gone, and looked at many many other faiths. JW's are not perfect but for me they have the Truth, or parts, but are missing some things. Expressed as a percentage, I believe 80 to 90 percent, the 20 percent is put on faith. We are wrong about some things I am sure but in time all will be revealed

God is on the record saying:
“I will pour out my Spirit in the last days on all flesh.Your sons and daughters shall prophesy………and it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved “
That is the Holy Spirit of truth, versus the spirit of error.

Same number of people call on us regularly where I live.I haven't seen any difference at all
I could not exist in that culture. My aunt basically would have nothing to do with my dad. They self isolated themselves from family and community. Too many fastidious religious practice that steer away from “loving one another.”
Mat 24:12 “And because of the increase of lawlessness, the love of the greater number, will grow cold” As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses now for more than 50 years, and yes, you’re correct, some of my my family have left the faith, but then, that has been true of all Christian faiths.
Are the lives of my family members improving since they left? Not at all. One was playing with his child, who he no longer lives with, when in broad daylight, some one broke down his front door gaining access to his house in order to threaten the child that if he didn’t give him the keys to his car, he would endanger the child’s life.
Another family member has tried to restrict his 17 year old daughter from engaging with my wife, but having just had a baby out of wedlock, she now sends images of her newborn to other family members knowing full well that those images will end up on my wife’s phone.
People leaving the faith has never been a problem to Jehovah’s Witnesses because it’s expected as Matthew 24 explains. Of course God wants people to follow his guidelines from the scriptures but, he’s not desperate if they don’t, after all we all have a free will. Most of the offspring of my family are bringing up children having been abandoned by their partners, even two of my own children have done exactly that. Is that not a more serious matter?
If your expectations are to be proud of your children’s success in life, please be open minded about your expectations. My sister spent a lot of money putting her children through a university education only to see one becoming a window cleaner and the other a van driver, nothing wrong with either in my opinion, but when you inspect what you expect, at least show some respect. Blood is not necessarily thicker than water

Imagine people actually thinking that you're supposed to be locked in a church hierarchy that controls every aspect of you life. Follow the commandments and have a good, happy life. That's all. Have fun, dance, smoke a joint.

According to "Pi', the membership of JW's was 8.8 million. 100,000 leavers in 2024 represents about 1.1% decline. Can you say anything about any increase in membership in 2024?
Didn't the Jehovah Witness read about the prophet Daniel saying a time is coming when everything shall change ? That time is now,as the ushering in of the Internet has changed the times because it now takes a second to see and to understand what is happening around you. Not so long ago,it took a week or two to receive a letter that has being sent to you. It only takes a second or two to receive a message that is meant for you and that is what makes the great difference. I have never known what the Jehovah Witness talked about even though they professed to teach about Jesus Christ. Behold,the Word can be transformed into fishes and bread to feed the multitude,and the painful part is most people come to the Word,not because of the salvation of their souls but because they can be fed with the fishes and bread !
