Seriously, seems like more white and black are racist today than 10 years ago, I hope this is just a “gets worse before it gets better” moment. Snoop said that, snoop acknowledges that absolutely no one can rap with Em. That is why this new shit that Snoop said re Em was so confusing.
Complete Truth. That hate about race goes all directions and needs to be squashed. The best thing we can do is show love for each other and help people be their best they can be. You don't have to like someone to give them their props when they do well.

Then I played the tape... realized he sure as hell ain't playing... instant fan/stan. He's the goat. No one comes close. When Eminem blew up, he changed things forever. The impact he had on the world during that time was insane. Don’t forget that he blew up during a time when social media wasn’t as relevant as it is now. I remember going to visit my family in Mexico during that time and hearing people blast Eminem in their cars blew my mind. It was crazy how many lives he impacted.
I honestly reckon the internet and social media has slowly killed good music. Back then NO INTERNET. Which meant no sales through downloads (people had to actually go to the bother to go to a store and buy music). Limited ways to get your music exposed to the public (radio time, TV, concerts is about it). A lot more work involved in producing GOOD material for fans ... because if the music is crap, no fans. No auto tune, etc (artists were TRUE artists and musicians who could actually perform live). Artists had to WORK HARD for their fans and success. That was reality back then. But, NOW days with the internet ... millions are reached instantaneously with a post, the musical flaws can be covered up with auto tune, filters, etc and the emphasis is on the performer's IMAGE not the music. Today's "artists" are more worried about LIKES, online beefs, who's hooking up with who, fake selfies, making popular social declarations, social media posts ...... THAT'S what gives them their success. NOT the quality of their music. (eg. some talentless mumble rapper with fake teeth, bad hair, squiggle face tattoos, etc can literally "babble" some illiterate lines on an over-used music track ... call it music ... and then become an internet success overnight. WTF??) That's why the pre-social media performers are so good and timeless .... they are TRUE artists that earnt their success the hard way. REAL music.
........ ya'll love to applaud brothas who say what you like. So happy because a black guy removed race from a rap discussion. As if he validates your opinions. Race and talent aren't the real issue, despite what this dude says. He's a fan of "bars". Not Hip Hop Sad part is, ya'll don't give a sh*t about eliminating racial and cultural differences in the real world. It's important in this instance because it benefits Em'. That's the goal (sigh)
Races shouldnt affect your opinions at all.. humans are just plain fucked up mate.. Its way past the color of our skin XD When well realize this , we will be able to adress the issue.
I love this video so much. Speak the truth! When Em came out, I was a teen, boyband loving, suburban white girl. Eminem was the reason I even started to pay attention to rap. He brought rap music to TRL, which was a HUUUUUGE deal back in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Hey bro, I really appreciate your unbiased opinions on everything you do. It really hurts my heart, being a white man who grew up in an area, and went to a school, in my earliest years, as the minority, to know that there are people who hate other people who they've never even met, in most cases. Not everyone experienced the cultural upbringing that I did, and in my opinion, it's the best thing that could have happened to me. Some of the best, realest people I've met, and have considered my friends, look nothing like me, and I feel bad for people who sell themselves short, and avoid other people, simply because of the color of their skin. Literally all 6 of my nieces and nephews are mixed, and I love them all the same, and I would die for the ones I love, it scares me to know that there are people out there who would insult, or hurt them, simply because of the way they look, and I feel bad for the person who tries, honestly, it would be a very bad day for them. My love, and the protection of the ones I love, knows no limits. Anyways, I just wanted to speak my mind, even if this never gets seen. Much love, bro, keep doing you. 💪😎
Rakim DEFINITELY killed the whole rap game back then, my opinion as well tho. I just think he had the best flow in 80s and 90s especially, the 18th letter is a goddamn masterpiece!!

LOVE you spitting facts. I am a 57-year-old woman and I loved Em from the first time I heard him. I had no idea what color he was at the time. I was never into rap before. He is the GOAT for real. A lyrical poet. Genius has no color.

Stevie, here's what you need to know, mate. Lord Jamar listened to 'Untouchable' and his takeaway from it was that Eminem is empowering whites with the chorus and that black rappers are addicted to pills because of him. That's it; his full takeaway of that song. Was an interview with Vlad tv.
He trying to get views, he probably get some compensation from Vlad for doing those interviews. He broke like Benzino. Btw Benzino got evicted today cause he couldn't pay his rent.
I am finding this now. I love how passionate you are in giving Eminem his due. I am such a girly black female and I hardly pay attention to rap, but Eminem is brilliant. I loved his cheesy raps back in the day but when I really listened to them, i realized they weren't cheesy. I heard his verse on Nicki Minaj's Majesty and my jaw legit dropped and renewed my interest in his raps. I kept replaying it because it was just masterful. The lyrics are clever and the way he articulates when he raps is something else that I can't put into words. So when I hear other rappers pulling that racist BS stuff about how black people don't listen to Eminem blah blah blah. It actually irritates the hell out of me too! Talk about the talent. He IS a wordsmith. Not the skin. The talent!!! It's not only about cadence...the rhythm, the lyrics....the physical challenge of how he raps....just brilliant!
You can't deny talent based skin color or hearing them in passing. Eminem deserves his spot just like the other greats in the rap game. Thank you for always standing up for Em Stevie!
My name is maybe one of his most recognizable songs, but he still beasted with the wordplay. People who bring it up are dumb because that song is still more lyrical than most.
“By the way when you see my dad, tell him that I slit his through in this dream I had” like people can’t relate to having a absent or shitty father?! Hell I can myself. “Eminem don’t resonate wit me” idiots!
Haha facts I love my name is, everytime it pops up on my shuffle in the car I go crazy and so does anyone driving with me, it's edgy and made to sarcastically make fun of pop music and pop culture and is still very technical lyrically, because have you ever heard a song song blow up like that that was written well? Imagine a smash hit like that isn't written well? Lol it's written by a genius

Hell yea I’m from Mexico and he’s still huge over here.
social media didnt even excisted back then
I honestly reckon the internet and social media has slowly killed good music.
WTF??)
That's why the pre-social media performers are so good and timeless .... they are TRUE artists that earnt their success the hard way. REAL music.
Exactly mfs don’t like to recognize or accept the change Eminem caused. Mf had people buying his records enough to cover streets.

Its because of eminem that someone like me living on the other side of the world knows what rap is and knows who tupac and biggie and jay-z and kanye and nas and dre and snoop (and every other rapper you can name and sadly lord jamar) is and listens to their music, its because of eminem that rap has grown globally in every other language there is, before social media, based on how much eminem was big and popular in my country that dont even speak english, I thought he was worshipped as a god in america, the first I heard shit like this after all this social media connecting all people all over the world I was in genuine shock like whaaat, big rappers all over the world including in persian rap started rapping because of eminem giving them inspiration (the biggest rap group in persian rap have stated they started rapping after listening to em and watching 8 mile).
Yeah, I'm from Colombia and I can totally agree with this. Em is so respected all over the world by pretty much every rapper and artist in any genre. Social media's know it alls are trying so hard to shit on him and his legacy that it looks like a lot of envy.
I agree! Though personally i heared of Tupac 1st. Im my mid teens here in Norway, i 1st heared "All eyes on me" in '98 or '99. And didnt learn untill couple years later when "Chronic" came out that he was killed, and also with "Still Dre " in '01 when i first years of Em. I actually learned of hip hop from the colab between Run DMC and Aerosmith 🤣🤣🤣 But you are right, Mehran! The absolutt majority from europe and East would say the same 😊 Unfortunate that it's the truth, but that's not news from the Black community stateside i imagine 😓
@@Vinny_85 bro I live in Iran, but I was raised in the UK. In iran they speak little english its not even close to persian, but I see people get blown away by translations of what he said and in translation I that see from both sides half the beauty and elegance is lost, persian rap is like the biggest genre of music in Iran and its because of eminem. The first rap songs in persian is literally them mimicking eminem on his own beats. And they biggest names in persian rap game have stated we used to listen to eminem and then 8 mile movie came and we was just like blown away and wanted to do something like that in persian. When people like compare em to like jay z in my mind Im like what the fuc! How is this possible, I have went back and listened to jay z and kanye and ... cuz I thought if they are comparing to em they should be very good but Im like wtf, even like jay z on their best songs has problems keeping the flow and meaning, sometimes he fucks up the flow to keep the meaning of what he was saying. Kanye! I cannot name one song I liked from him. Lil wayne I liked. But all and all nothing comes close to em both on the lyrical and skill side and also the emotional side and feeling what they saying.
Duh because he's white LoL
Love how you keep it real and don’t worry about what anyone thinks. I will continue to follow you. I know this is an old video, and I’m “late to the party”, but love how you just real, and I don’t follow anyone.
fun fact. did you know eminem freestyled the "my name is" and 1 more song the first day he was in studio with dre
dr.dre says that in the defiant ones.
The real slim shady was another "on the spot" song.
The guy on the keyboard has an interview with Unabashedly Reggie on his channel to tell the story.
Yup 2 legendary songs recorded off the top
Apparently rap God was straight 'off the dome' as said by Eminem himself.... Obviously the fast partt was written..

no it wasn't.
Check out the annotations in genius.
Jamar just hatin because he jealous of Em his skills and success
Jamar just dog at the game
Same guy been in charge of the game for 20 years straight.yeah =/
Eminem has lived more of a Black's life and struggle than Jamar ever would.
By black's life I meant always being 'racicized' and put into stereotypes by the majority of the other race, and Eminem is the proof it also goes the other way around
Just no..
I’d agree that Em struggled more in his life, but don’t put race into it. He didn’t had a black life, just a shitty one.
@@sana3843 just cause your black doesn’t mean you have a hard life, especially in America. Em def had a harder life than majority of blacks. Growing up in a majority black community and being the only white guy to stand his ground and challenge anyone and come out on top! If you were to tell his story to someone who didn’t know you wouldn’t believe it. All races can have it equally as bad.
He was discrimated for being one of the only white kids in his neighborhood and when he was at school.
And in some people in the industry are hating on him just because he's white.
@@zenithskull no because when you talk about living conditions and disproportionate incarceration. Discrimination, life expectancy, poverty, etc.To say otherwise is a disservice and you really need to open your eyes. 8 mile is a fictional depiction loosely based on some events if you read his biography you'd realise he didn't come from absolute poverty but was near it. He was lucky which he acknowledged in various interviews.
Thank you for seeing the world for how it truly is. Respect
Yo Stevie when you started these Em reactions, you didn’t understand why stans are so passionate. Now you’re talking about everything we’ve been saying for years throughout his career. And it’s after the fact when you’re seeing it now. We’ve known this hahaha now you know how we feel lol😂😂 awesome vids bro
Facts!!
My Name Is - the video for that was the song that hooked me, it’s not a weak song, it’s a masterpiece because of how it pulls you in from a insane zainy wit play on words. That cadence hooked
I absolutely love your passion for Em. I agree with you separating jayz and em. Em is hyper focused on rap. Jay z= 💲
1st time listening to Stevie, his honesty and saying it, how it’s understood, made me laugh out loud. Cool dude ! Coming across really good, great personality mate. Will listen again ! ✌️🏴
“Real artists respect real artists” - Rakim
Eminem will never be beaten. Dude came in as the serial killer of the rap game. Eminem the Rap God, Slim Shady the Rap Devil
And machine bum smelly think he is the rap devil... LMAO like Eminem said MGK is a devil worshipper, Shady is the rap devil and MGK worship him, he admitted to be a stan
@@macchiavelli2688 EM is a devil worshiper too! That's just how hollywood is but LYRICALLY MGK will never be better the EM... EVER!
@@paullaney3339 he worship shady that make him kill other rappers, he don’t literally worship the devil lmao, even in the song criminal he says it at the beginning, that you don’t gotta think he worship the devil only cause he raps about violent stuff, he don’t do that shit in real life
...Also you can add B rabbit the Rap Battle’r , Battle Rapper.
Listen to the anthem. Literally the most stacked lineup there ever will be.
The Anthem is awesome. I had that album when I was in highschool. Kool G, Chino, KRS-ONE, Pharoah, Rza, Jayo, Xzibit, Tech, Em?! Stacked!
Yo for real!!!
Hell yeh
I BEEN saying!!!
That song made me a rap fan, and a Tech N9ne fan. I can hear the beat in my head right now. That song GOES. shout out to Sway and King Tech for putting that together
"Hi my name is" is what I would call an introduction. What he said was "hi this is who I am, here's a miniscule sample of what I can do. But, by all means don't think this is my limit. I am capable of much more."
To me, Eminem was the most influential rapper in my life. Growing up I remember countless nights laying in bed in complete darkness with my cd player and headphones listening to Eminem. Eminem was the gateway into hip hop. Me and my friend used to jam all hip-hop but when Em released an album it was a full on sacred listening party. We would pull up the lyrics and listen and read through the whole album. Em transcended just the music and made the written aspect of music equally as important. Its what made me care about lyrics and pulling meaning from music. Its beyond entertainment, its ART.
Hell yea. I used to do that too. And I would visualize all his bars too. Especially the slim shady lo
You're a stan now dawg welcome to the club, just sittin here loving watching you defend against the haters.
When tory lanez brung up the "pockets" thing he meant LYRICALLY! There's angles and crevices and pockets when it comes to how one chooses to attack LYRICALLY! So actually tory was showing EM love because he was admitting that EM was more LYRICALLY advanced than he is!
‘That’s a whole world you can’t touch’ best Stevie quote ever!! 🔥
21:26 had me ctfu 😂😂😂 you straight up just called that
