This turned out perfectly and exactly as pictured. My only difficulty came in trying to use the fork to roll the cooked omelet. I ended up having to use a full-size spatula. But everything else came out exactly as described.
I tried to make a omelette this way a few times following the Jacques Pepin way, but failed every time. I might finally be able to make a French Omelette with this method!
@@albertdaniel712 yea thx. My comment is in regards to the opening statement of making an omelette in the french classic way. The only video I've found that didn't use non-stick used a stainless steel pan. I've watched a ton a omelette videos. This would not be considered a classic way. The technique is there but the classic French omelette is chive, chervil, taragon, and parsley or a cheese omelette.
Doesn’t the metal fork damage the nonstick pan?

You’ve got this. The trick is the non stick skillet, constantly moving it and not cooking on too high of heat.
Trying this when I wake up.
How’d it go?
@@ChefBillyParisi sadly didn't get to make it. When I do make it, I'll report back here.
I don't know...there were french omelettes before non-stick. I'm trying figure out how to make in the classic way.
By using a carbon steel pan like a de Buyer- will never need Teflon again!

@@pmayh3m Ah ok… so do you mean using stainless steel is not classical
@@albertdaniel712 using a non-stick pan is not, using a carbon steel pan or cast iron is part of the technique.
@@pmayh3m but stainless steel is non stick when used correctly and can make an omelette
Spoons and tongs, I've never been in a kitchen that uses forks?
It works!
But
I’m going on
i dont know if you will see this but what is the size of the skillet
Having problems with my omelettes sticking to my greenpan... Used your exact technique. Any ideas on why the pan is not allowing an easy release?
That’s weird those pans are super non-stick. Was there any residue left on it?
Chef Billy Parisi No Sir, scrubbed clean. Although, I did notice if I use a ton of butter, voila!, nothing sticks😄
You can’t flip it
You can't do it with induction oven, this shaking technic...
yeah it's hard.
