Thats because he wanted it to reflect how the movie was shot. All of the concert performances are shot from the bands perspective. You never see shots of the bands performances shot from the crowd except on the cell phone video of Shallow.

@Peter Lustigait, you mean this is FAKE NEWS? no shit.relax.the point of this all of this effort and focus groups and whatnot is to: evoke emotion, showcase talent, and make money. and it was successful in doing those things.nothing wrong with trying to get away from mass shootings,a shitty economy and wall building and just watch a MOVIE.not sure why you'd want to spoil that for people.js.

It annoys me people saying this was a bad performance. In this modern age I give a ton of credit to them singing it live with no autotune. As a musician I love the slight imperfections which gives the performance character. Hell Jimmy Paige said a song is never done and would often tinker with it live!

    • @danjerickpantilgan

Bradley is from Philadelphia and Gaga is from NYC. I can always hear the New York accent when Gaga sings. She's just amazing. Bradley said he modeled his accent after Sam Elliott, who was superb playing his older brother. On a talk show prior to the Oscars, Bradley said the singing was really hard for him and he would have to get with his vocal coach in order to perform at the Oscars. Love love love all 3 of the above. mentioned actors!

1.) Bradley Cooper is not a professional singer and he doesn't claim to be, but he went up and gave it his all. I'd like to see some of you naysayers not only have the guts to put yourself out there like that, but do anywhere near that good.
2.) Loved the honest review you gave pointing out the imperfections while conveying how perfection wasn't the point of this performance.

I agree with others that said they sounded a bit pitchy. It wasn't horrible at all, I'm not saying that. But just a wee bit out of tune here and there. I'd much rather hear 'a wee bit out of tune' than have it autotuned, though.

And he was singing with one of the most talented humans alive! The song is great, the performance was fantastic. But it's totally cool to have critiques! That's how all artists get better....

  • @hollidayevery
    @hollidayevery 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Very good critique and insights. True, perfect singing technique is not what made this song nor performance so affecting. Even the vocal misteps are part of the emotive factor.
I first listened live with the critical ear, and some things were to be considered, but the emotion, the chemistry, the directing of the camera angles, the piano being brought out, the stroll up the stairs, the way Bradley wobbled on his stool as she sang, then the way he snatched the mic stand up before joining her on the piano bench... made it so emotional for me, listening subsequent times... your review is spot on...

I watched an interview with Bradley Cooper and Sam Elliot, and Bradley had actually worked with a vocal coach to sound more like Sam. Mr. Elliot was actually honored and that's what pushed him to accept the invitation to the cast. So that little bit of accent you can hear in his voice is based on Sam Elliot's speaking voice.

I don't really detect southern twang. It's more of a middle america bland accent I think. Could be wrong, but that's what I gather from spending my life between the areas. (On Gaga's part I mean, I see it for sure in Cooper's performance)

Manhattan New York City. February 2019. Twenty seven year old, Josephine Warren, an courageous and fearless arts educator, disability legal justice activist, and a future film director and film producer, reflects on her wonderful childhood growing up in Manhattan New York City and coping with mild High Functioning Aspergers Autism Syndrome and coping with her getting bullied, (through her love of theater and film screenwriting). Josephine, 27, the eldest of four children; Sandra Warren, 25, Michaela Warren, 25, and Josephine’s only and youngest brother Reed Warren, lived in Manhattan New York City her whole life. In late February 2019, Josephine Warren, expressed to her siblings and her parents, just how much she wanted to attend film directing graduate school at the University of Southern California Los Angeles, instead of serving in the US Navy Seals as a military aviation technician. Toward the middle of her life, her bullies and her parents Trisha Warren and Alex Warren; former Navy Seal graduates keep on, hiding her film school applications in their office drawers, as, they fear that Josephine, their daughter, would fail to follow in her parents footsteps of becoming a Navy Seal West Point Academy soldier; as that is what the Warren family legacy is defined as, according to Josephine Warren. Even though Josephine lived with Aspergers her entire life, Josephine would use her adversity and failures, as foundation blocks, toward her evolving into one of the most inspiring film directors in New York City and global history; At the end of her film, Josephine Warren, receives the most inspiring reward of her life, and she ends up inspiring, tens of billions of lives, through her artistic voice
and loving and gratitude giving heart and human existence alone.
At the film’s end, Vincent Everett, an doctoral graduate student of
the University of Phoenix and a Five Star US Navy Seals Admiral at
Phoenix’s “SEALS RECRUIT ACADEMY” in Arizona, falls romantically
in love with Josephine, in Baka Jerusalem Israel after reading her film
script for Superheroic and shows his soldiers unit, that the human race
can inspire, even in adversity and obstacles. Superheroic, A Mr. Jonathan

Lens Film Production Company of Toronto Canada and to Mrs. Leah Rifkin; Renowned Film Director and Author of Beyond The Directors Chair; She said that my story has the power to inspire the Oscar Academy of Beverly Hills California. Even though I have Aspergers, I have completed my Superheroic film story, I am an Israeli American immigrant Jerusalem Jewish Israeli citizen, and I work for Mobileye Intel in Jerusalem for their Computer Algorithms Correction Department. I also shared my Superheroic film story with Nancy Spielberg and she was so inspired by my story, characters, and Superheroic film script message; My dream is to win an Oscar Academy Award in Los Angeles California in real life. My mission as a film director and storyteller is to inspire the world through storytelling, love, gratitude, and heart. Main Theme for my Future Oscar Academy Award Winning Film Superheroic; Never Give Up. (The Score, Unstoppable). The Score's Unstoppable identifies with my primary Superheroic film theme which is never give up. th-cam.com/video/Xydf351l-gw/w-d-xo.html
