I really like when you analyse the songs, and talk about the technical sides of what the vocalist are doing and why, because I can refer it to what I'm trying to learn and practice. It's very helpful. Great job! Keep them coming!

I can hear halfway in too: Gaga held way, WAY back to carry Cooper. And that is perfectly understandable. She is a master singer, and he but a well trained, very early novice. She had to help him look good. Shes is always constantly very much watching him to register closely to what he can manage.
    Superb analysis.

As a voice teacher, i was thinking you would appreciate the song "how does it feel" by the artist D'angelo. Its 90's RnB, and besides the weird video, you may like it from a purely technical point of view. How he engages his diaphragm and uses it to sing.

I came across your reviews this past weekend. I'd be really into hearing you review albums, but from your perspective as a singer of epic music. Bands like Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Who, and my personal favorite; Marillion. I'd really like to see you review Misplaced Childhood, based on the musical and lyrical composition, or Dark Side of the Moon. Anyway thank you for making the internet a better place. The thing that really touches my soul about music and art, even sports sometimes, is that it's become a pretty shitty world, with politics, hate and war, but every so often the human spirit can elevate one(s) to beauty.

I have just discovered your channel and thank you for your positive reaction. Yes, they arean incredible singers. It is very encouraging that reactors, such as you, exist to give a professional point of view on various artists and I very much appreciate it.
Although I am ancient - my musical preferences were established in the 1940 - 1960s I am always surprised at the talent which has emerged since then. I follow the careers of several young singers on TH-cam and get a "warm fuzzy feeling" when they succeed in their chosen profession.
I note you are still to discover one of my favourite singers, a young girl, Angelina Jordan, who won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 - she is now 13 years old. She can sing many musical genres - jazz, blues, soul, pop - and has the ability to identify the emotions in the lyrics of a song and communicate those emotions to the listener.
If you point your browser to the websites listed, you will see what I mean about her versatility.
    age 8 - Summertime: th-cam.com/video/stwF4ti1tbc/w-d-xo.html
    age 9 - I put a spell on you: th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html
    age 13 - I have nothing: th-cam.com/video/eTcvvO6B3Io/w-d-xo.html
These are just three of the over 100 performances she has on TH-cam.
I eagerly look forward to your reactions.

I thoroughly enjoy every video analysis you upload, Linor, and they're so informative--one of your biggest fans, here. Since you've taken a short break from Dimash, I'm proposing you take a look, and analyze, his latest video (it's on his YT channel) of "Ogni Pietra", written for him by Russian icon Igor Krutoy (with whom he's been collaborating, ever since Krutoy saw him perform "Sinful Passion"). It's for the opening ceremony of the European Olympic Trials, in Minsk. It would be so interesting to see your reaction to him singing in nothing but "bel canto" timbre, which he's only done in a couple of lesser-known duets with female singers (to my knowledge). Yes, he's given us short flashes of his 20+ years of classical training, but never unleashed his voice like this! The production, unfortunately, is horrible, with the director only giving brief glimpses of him--the majority of the time, we get to watch the Olympic committee walk around the stadium with their committee flag. (What was that producer thinking!!!) So, you'll only get to hear this epic unveiling of his "big" voice timbre, but not see much of him, and the audio is from the stadium sound system, rather than a direct signal from his mic. Ugh! But, at least we get to hear this man turn almost 4 octaves, of his 6 octave range, loose in one song (and it's evident that Krutoy had that in mind, when he wrote this for him)! Would be fascinating to see your opinion--please consider giving us (and yourself) this treat. Will be holding my breath, waiting for it (well, I'll hold it about 90 seconds, then have to resume breathing, but you get the point).

I haven't seen the movie yet (or the previous versions) but I'm pretty sure Cooper's character is a country singer. To me, that accounts for some of the differences in technique. Yes, he's a relative amateur and Gaga is a goddess. But those glottal attacks and, especially, the tight jaw are more common in country music, I believe (think Willie Nelson). Is there any chance Cooper's choices were intentional?

I don't know if I agree completely , I tend to like the imperfections in a vocalists voice as well as the obvious talent and skill....How many great vocalists have odd or unconventional tones in their vocals and were told they could not sing ,would never succeed but did. Richard Marx's jaw mobility is zero and yet he has a great vocal also happens to be a great writer as well. Just food for thought.

Enjoyed your reaction, thank you. May I ask you to react to Dimash new song "love is like a dream" ( from his channel please with subs ). I ( and a lot of others I guess ) would love it, thank you
