An absolute tragedy, and a clueless owner (who did absolutely nothing with him - she just liked having a stallion.) I didn’t last very long at that stable- could not support the ignorance.
I like how gentle and calm you are when dealing with him. No yanking on his face or anything like that. And no stud chain. This is a good example of horsemanship.
Thank you Jesse for participating in the video when you are obviously extremely tired. I do watch out for your videos too...just so you know! Equal support for both your channels. I also watch your channel with Eva. Emporio did such a good job for such a young horse and he looks amazing , really good first attempt. It will be very interesting when he eventually really gets to meet the others. Thank you for posting it's really interesting to see him develop as a young horse he has so much potential and such a lovely spirit.
Honestly though, better safe than sorry. I'd rather spend the $50 and 2 minutes/ride booting my horses than feeling guilty when they get an easily preventable injury, in to of seeing them in needless pain and having unnecessary veterinary bills. Had the previous owners had that same philosophy, my now 4-year-old thoroughbred wouldn't have sustained a career ending injury at the entirely too young age of 3. Not to mention some of the - easily preventable - gruesome heel and pastern injuries I've seen horses suffer from a simple slip/trip/spook.
As someone who spent a lot of money and several months on a tiny 1/2 inch cut on my mare's cannon that turned into a huge disgusting wound with proudflesh, I think boots are a brilliant idea. I will need to keep them in mind next time I move her (she's retired).

Such a good boy! I want to warn you, of something you probably already know but probably forgot at the time. NEVER, EVER lead a horse with a loop in the lead line like you had when loading him. This is especially important when leading a horse into something that might frighten them. I had a friend (a very experienced horsewoman) that lost a thumb because she did not follow this rule! Hold the rope so that if the horse pulls back and you don't have control, the lead can leave your hand without strangling your hand, fingers or thumb. This is especially important for you to do on camera as you are an example. I'm loving your videos which is surprising since my background is not English/dressage, but rather western. The training methods are similar except we ride with a mostly loose rein. (We do start foals in much the same way, however.) Once again, loving the videos -- Emporio is amazing just the type of stallion I had hoped to have someday. It's looking less and less likely that that will happen (I'm 61 with really bad osteoarthritis).

I think Emporio knows you are his leader and care for him. He knows he will be safe with you, very important, you show him this. Stallions are so amazing, they reciprocate, and take care of you too.
Matt, Imporio has really filled out beautifully. However, maybe put some hay in with him if you're taking him away from his grain. He might be even quieter in the float because he has something to focus on other than the float and short travel. Best Regards from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
I was thinking. A float? Like parade float? Never heard a trailer called a float. I see they use vans a lot overseas. They aren't popular in USA because we need out trucks to drive everywhere else.

I love his coloring and personality you are so good with him
how cute! love how you just roll with it and see how he goes!
Thanks for all the stuff you make for us man, your vids have helped me when I’ve been sad.
I think Emporio knows you are his leader and care for him. He knows he will be safe with you, very important, you show him this. Stallions are so amazing, they reciprocate, and take care of you too.
The fact that he was still listening to you even though he was excited is a real testament to his training and personality, good boy Emporio.
A beautiful animal!!! I love your excitement - Thanks for sharing.
Hay, you two r an exact match. Thanks for your kindness of taking care of some an awesome life
Matt, Imporio has really filled out beautifully.
@@MLOCharmer In Europe, anything used to move any type of farm animal, the trailer used is called a float.
Emoprio has such a pretty trot. He’ll be great once he gets up a bit. Good luck and hope every thing goes great with him ❤️
He has such a good mind for a young horse. You definitely found a good one! I can't wait to check in and see where you guys go together.
I love your videos. I had a Lusitano that I raised from a baby and lost at 30 yr old. He did anything I asked but could act totally silly on a trail ride. I still miss him, he was a once in a lifetime.
I really like you"re not using a chain over his nose. He has great ground manners. I'm an Arabian person, but he is beautiful. I wish you would post more than once a week. If I am ever fortunate enough to get to Europe I would love to visit.
Matt.... he is stunning..... cannot wait to see how your journey together progresses. And can I just say, I take my hat off to you for such wonderful sympathetic and kind horseman ship! #fabhumans
