The LCPD presence in this mission made this a slightly challenging one for me to complete on a few playthroughs. The worst instance being the time I had just killed the last enemy within the house, but as soon as Niko ran out of the door, he was blasted by an officer with a shotgun. Instant death.
It was just one of those days were my gaming skills seemed to be off, nothing worked for me... so when he ran me over I just had to kick the shit out of him :P My day only improved from that point lol
First I thought the same & spared Derrick (I just finished the game without exploring the lore, dig deeper, etc). But after watching "The Professional" channel talking about who ratted out Gerry, I think I've started to think again about sparing Derrick.
One possibility you probably didn't notice. I once started a new game and used trainer to repeat that mission before actually doing it along with story. When I was in that point of the story I couldn't complete it because bucky was appearing as deceased in police computer and it didn't want to give location. Had to start over lol
Bucky's truck (Contender) is unique but not much. Its paint-job is a unique shade of green unobtainable from Pay-n-Spray and it has a tonneau bed-cover. Only the color job is perfectly unique, though, since the civilian driven Contenders spawn with either roll bars or the tonneau cover. Bucky's truck's performance is also unchanged.

These police missions seem really fun for gta, I know it's a crime game but it would be nice to see Rockstar try something with being the police for once.
Mr. Snaggly Rockstar mentioned that they originally planned to add ability to be a policeman in GTA: Online but didn't do it as it's goddamn Grand Theft Auto game about committing a crime.
Yes, but I think it would be cool to see the ability as playing as the police in single player or online since LSPDFR is played by many large youtubers. Plus, their followers seem to enjoy it alot.

Might be because of the trainer. I had the game installed twice and it was only locked during the mission, but after installing the Trainer it was open.

If I can suggest, can you try Trespass, I have some recomendations, like killing the passengers first and then wrecking the chopper, trying to kill Chubby Charlie before finding him (only possible to do via SNT) and, there is a rare fail where the game might render Charlie into a frozen position and the mission script stops working, so you need to restart the game.

What I did when taking down Bucky, was get myself a 4 star Wanted level, wait for the FIB to show up, then let them handle them.

What if you went into the marker then exited the police car and got into the helicopter and followed him.
Any vehicle I bring with me disappears when the cutscene starts playing, so the only way to do it us by spawning one when the chase starts
