Castiel's air quotes being used incorrectly and his line about spending the last year as a '"multi-dimensional wavelength of celestial intent" are the best thing so far this season!
Castiel's angelic power is a problem the writers have to solve every season, really. Because as you said, you can't have an instant solution for every little problem. So he's preoccupied right now with his own thing.
My "people skills" are "rusty" 😁 Oh, I missed Cass! I love season 6 Sam, it's a really interesting take on this character, and once we learn what's the deal, it's interesting to rewatch these early episodes and catch all the small details in his performance. And Balthazar!! You said that he's a poor substitute for Gabriel, and you might be right, but I LOVE him none the less! A really fun addition to the show. Great reaction as always
I don't feel like Bathazar was ever a substitute for Gabriel. They act completely different in my opinion. But yeah I actually like Castiel in this season alot aswell.
What an episode.... starting with shirtless Dean & Sam then move into some of the most grotesque deaths then crazy Cas... and seriously what the heck is up with Sam. Loved your reaction.
Great thumbnail lol. As a straight guy, seeing Sam shirtless is still 🔥 lol. I think this season has a bit more of a balance with motw and seasonal so I think you'll enjoy it for that reason
"Poor substitute for Gabriel" was exactly my reaction to Balthazar. Gabriel made sense, he had lived for hundreds of years (if not more) as a trickster god after abandoning Heaven, but Balthazar felt very "un-angelic" to me, and it really felt like they were just trying to fill a niche left by a character they had killed off. That said, I think the actor Sebastian Roche plays the character with a lot of charisma, and if the character had been just a bit different, I would have been very intrigued by him as an angel excited by their possible new freedom, and interested in his and Castiel's history serving with Uriel and Anna. Funny how all these rebel angels came from the same group, right?
I like the "American psycho" reference. 😉 In my opinion they did a good job continuing the story after a original season 5 finally. (And I can live through season 7)
Well they resolve to fistcuffs because putting in good special effects would be to much work for the production team ._. its just being lazy and wanting money
I don't think angels every fought in any other way. Idk if it's budget or they just couldn't come up with a better way to do it. *SPOILER BELOW* We did have that one scene between Michael and Lucifer in the later seasons in which they fly while fighting but that was worse. They could have had their wings appearing while flying and using them to fight. Like Lucifer the TV show does, but I think they just never figured out how to do an Angel fight.
@@xXSinForLifeXx allot of potential for some cool stuff was lost because producers didn't want to hire cgi special effects team. Dragons got done dirty same with angels
@@lop90ful1 Yeah I'm not disagreeing with you thats it's dissappinting. But I mean they had special effects for other things. Like angels smiting demons and demons leaving the vessel etc. I'm sure they could have done it but I think they just couldn't figure out a way to make it look good like you said lazy.

Balthazar isn't meant to be a substitute for Gabriel lol. He is a pretty good character in his own right.
Personally he's one of my favourite angels.

Balthazar!!!!! Second favorite character 😁
When he called him a poor Gabriel substitute i was like 😡😡
I really like the way they used cass in this episode, I wish they used him like this way more in the future. Call Sam American psycho, priceless.

I may have said "My word," when I saw shirtless Sam, too. I'm a Dean girl for sure, but Season 5 and 6 Sam was so freaking hot.
I hate that Sam was soulless but damn he was hot af here. Especially smirking about the place
Everything will make sense in time ^^ At least this season hahaha.
Season 6 Sam is my favorite Sam.
