    THIS STORY:
Patricia Columbo and Frank DeLuca are arrested for the brutal slaying of Columbo’s parents and brother in Elk Grove, Illinois. Twenty-year-old Columbo had left her family home two years earlier to live with DeLuca, a 36-year-old married man. The pair later killed Frank, Mary and Michael Columbo in order to receive the family inheritance, unaware that the Columbo's had written Patricia out of their wills years earlier.
    / the-crimes-of-patricia...
UPDATE ON 2020 PAROLE HEARING: July 20, 2020
Convicted killers Patricia Columbo and Frank DeLuca -- serving time for the murders of her family in their Elk Grove Village home -- have again been denied parole by the Illinois Prisoner Review Board.
Board members Thursday voted 13 to 1 against release for Columbo, who was 19 in 1976 when she and DeLuca, then 37, murdered her parents and 13-year-old brother. Board members voted 14 to 0 against DeLuca's release.
The parole board agreed Patty is not ready to be released, pointing to Columbo's lack of remorse.
Cook County State's Attorney Kimberly Foxx concurred in a letter to the review board, writing "(Columbo's) selective memory indicates that she has not taken full responsibility for this horrific crime and therefore, cannot being considered rehabilitated."
Nothing Columbo has done justifies her "being afforded the grace of parole," Foxx wrote.
    MY FIRST QUESTION IS:
WHO CARES WHETHER THEY ARE REHABILITATED OR NOT?
THEY EACH RECEIVED 300 YEAR SENTENCES. THE JUDGE’S INTENTIONS WERE CLEAR; THEY WOULD EACH SPEND THE REMAINDER OF THEIR LIVES IN PRISON.
WHY ARE WE EVEN HAVING PAROLE HEARINGS?
    THESE ARE 300 YEAR SENTENCES.
WHO IS THE ONE BOARD MEMBER THAT WANTS TO GIVE PATTY PAROLE?
LET’S ALL PRAY THAT AT THE NEXT PAROLE HEARING, EVERYONE ON THE PAROLE BOARD EACH HAS THEIR SENSES INTACT.

IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.

The crime actually took place in Elk Grove Village IL. Not Elmhurst. I grew up there, in EG, and was the same age as Michael when this happened. It was the first murder in our town and, needless to say, it consumed many of us for a lifetime. I took a political science class in high school and the lead detective came and talked about this case. He brought in the actual crime scene photos and talked us thru the investigation. This was in 1979, way before forensics became popular. My uncle actually dated her a couple of times. He said she talked about killing her family and, while he didn’t think she was actually serious, it creeped him out enough to never see her again.

For all you young parents out there: If you've got a kid that is just a flat out brat and you let them have their way every time they whine about it you are creating a monster. You must discipline your kids to understand that they can't have their way all the times. If they throw a tantrum deal with it right away. You've got to keep your thumb all over them to make sure they get this message. Otherwise, they'll think the world owes them a living and become complete narcissists. It's fine for kids to rebel and want to have more freedom. But keep right on top of what they are doing ALL the time until they're of legal age. It's a hell of a lot of work to be a good parent and produce good members of society.

I just can't understand how some people can be this evil, when I was growing up my parents were very strict if you ever answer them back or show no respect to them and elders you would get slap in the face, But I have never ever thought of hurting my parents / siblings this woman was just evil, Ron thank you for telling this story, thank you for trying to put the pot of flowers back. please keep up with the good work you do and keep safe. Thank you Ron

How can a person be that heartless and kill their entire family?! Especially at the age of 16 years old. That's just pure evil... Normal 16 year old kids get mad at their parents for whatever reason, they don't want their parents harmed. This girl has major issues. They should NOT EVER let her out of prison, she's a danger to everyone in society.
    RIP to the family.🕊️🕊️🕊️

Things would have been different if Mr. Columbo left his daughter in jail instead of paying her bail . That one way a son / daughter must learn responsibility . Bailing a rebellious child was the father's biggest mistake and look what eventually happened . 🥀💔

Wow another horrific story, you've come upon. I don't remember this but doesn't sound strange. You wonder why kids, teens just snap this way. It's so discussing how evil she was too her parents and little brother. Yet it's not hard to believe she had that killer instinct to stab her brother multiple times. Hoping she never get out, whose really gonna care for a killer.? Like you said rotting for the rest of her life serves her best. Thanks again for this heartfelt story.
