Thank you very much for the great comment! This pattern is simple. In the video, I am using 100 needles on the front bed and 100 on the back bed. To make the blanket wider you can raise 120 (60-0-60) or 140 (70-0-70) - just an even number of needles in this case. There is nothing special about this pattern that would be affected by the needles (there is no image or pushers, which must be the exact number and arrangement). There should be no problem if the needles are an odd number. Only you have to observe the needle rule when you raise the needles in the beginning. To make the blanket longer, you just need to knit more rows. The pattern is in two parts - the first 15 rows of knitting go in one direction \\\\\ and the lock remains on the left, then the next 15 rows of knitting go in the other direction ///// and the lock is on the right side. You can choose the width of the blanket (by raising more needles on both beds) and start knitting. After repeating the pattern several times, the blanket will be long enough for you to measure its width from the part that hangs between the beds of the machine. And then you can use the advice I gave in the short video (in which I knit the headband) ( th-cam.com/video/l5IRFiUXr5Y/w-d-xo.html ) to see how many more repetitions you have to do to get the right length and get a square blanket. I hope I have explained this clearly. *If you ask me for exact formulas and calculations - I can't help yet. I also had trouble finding yarn on bobbins. Hi! Did you wash this blanket when you were finished? If so, did it grow at all? I'm just wondering because the fabric looks so dense. Maybe that's just its nature. :) I come from a hand knitting background getting into machine knitting, and wet blocking hand knits can change the fabric characteristics. Thanks for the video!

I haven't had much observation of its size before and after the washing, but if it has grown, it's not so much to be noticeable.
