We used to mow that camp of yours and hunt that same saddle for 30 years. Very cool video to watch when I can recall all my memories from the same location.
"As a hunter its our priority to protect these animals, ... only then is it our duty to harvest and utilize". Man, wise beyond years my good sir. As someone who has hunted PA whitetail since 12 yrs old, listening to this before 2024 rifle season, thanks for capturing the culture of growing up and hunting in PA in your narration.
I hunt clearfield county it’s gods country to me deer hunting has been slow the last couple of years but I wouldn’t have it any other way good luck this season
Begging and pleading to stop hunting out of that tree. It looks like a dead ash and they are extremely dangerous after the ash borer kills them. They turn in to a sponge and have no strength. I’m not over-reacting or exaggerating. I have personally seen devastating accidents involving them. I am a forester and a certified arborist. At the very least, please identify the tree to make sure it’s an ash. If so, please do just a little research and hopefully that will convince you. I pray to God this message finds you…

I have a camp in cross fork. I've hunted those hills since 1985. I'm lucky enough to be able to stay at camp for 17 days starting Friday before bear.
You have a good Dad to drag your deer out. Enjoy the meat!
