I recently discovered that my insurance carrier at my employment was also the insurance carrier for my bank. New evidence now establishes that the bank and the insurance carrier illegally sold Mortgage Insurance to us, without our knowledge and had turned off the transaction, so that we never knew that the policy existed.
The employers carrier aggressively attempted to stop the LTD. Two Union Grievances were filed and the Union successfully quashed the insurance carriers attempt to not allow the LTD.
Years later, the Insurance carrier arbitrarily stopped the LTD payments, and the Union successfully obtained $13,000 of lost LTD pay.
In light of the new evidence that the insurance carrier had previously sold hidden mortgage insurance, which covered the workers LTD.
This new evidence now establishes that these acts and omissions were discriminatory and directly linked to her position on the mortgage, her sudden Long Term Disability and whether her disability was compensable under the hidden insurance
