Two of my girlfriends gave it to me for my birthday this past October. Haven't had a chance to start it yet soooo much going on in my life at the moment. So many decisions to make. Oh Gretchen those plates and cups, the quilts, the little mirror....so many beautiful things...I do quilt, but haven't worked in small scale, I never thought to....I have heard the challenge though. This winter when I am sewing again, I will try to see just how I do at small scale. I am so happy to be one of your dolls, and in such talented and generous company. BTW, the periwinkle blue jersey is a silk, and so is the peach!

It was so difficult to stay focused!!🤭☺️💖 I am finally getting where l can produce videos ahead of time and have breathing room! 😜🤭☺️ That leaves more time to Play!!!
@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 Yes! It takes so much pressure off when you have a few videos lined up ready to go. Having that time and space to just ENJOY the things you make instead of having to rush on to the next creation makes a world of difference.

I had to edit to add that the one quilt has lace on only three sides, the un-laced would go at the headboard. There is an old quilting superstition that if a quiltmaker puts anything at the top (lace, prairie points, trims) that someone who used the quilt might get their eye poked out. LOL Old wives tale of course, but some of us quilter's still use the rule.
Did you use paper piecing to make these? I am a real quilter too! These are beautiful!!!!🎉

@@teresavanearden7458 No paper piecing, they are just crazy quilts, and a Dresden. I make the mini quilts just the same as I do the regular big ones, except of course, smaller.

@figgy7099 those quilts are just phenomenal! I've done a few real quilts, and attempted/half-assed some mini quilts for my own dolls and doing it on that tiny scale was HARD! I take my hat off to you!

I’m so glad the chair brought you happy memories, I found it in an antique shop in Mesa Az when we use to winter there. I did not make any of the food, I have only managed to make potatoes and eggs. 😂😂😂

Everything is wonderful, those quilts are incredible! And you, you're so adorable, it's easy to share your obvious delight! I've noticed the black glove, is there a problem, arthritis maybe? I surely hope not, but it is something hard to avoid as we get older. But you, you look too young for arthritis!😊

A trifle
I am new to miniatures, and I have a dream of creating an Acadian cottage. I have a French-Acadian heritage. Would you suggest I make it from scratch or modify a kit?
Manitoban here, we have a large French population here. The Irish cottage kit would work well, I made it with a thatch roof.

HI LOLA!!! My DADDY Bought "My Original Dollhouse" in (Original Dollhouse Tour video). As child I didn't have money or access to alot of supplies or tools. So I used scraps, remnants and even what looked like trash to create my miniatures. So my "miniaturist eye" is more "trained" to see remnants as supplies more often that Bulk SUPPLIES.
