Up here in Colorado I love my hot water. The marine type is a great design.
    Thanks Jim. 🌝

Always like your vids Jim. Keep them coming :) I really enjoy learning from you the history or the ‘why’ GM did different things. In this vid how GM looked at the GMC as a travel vehicle. I think you mentioned 4 different types of water heaters. I know you would never tell anyone what kind of water heater to buy but your your experience and knowledge is helpful to understand the differences. The 4 types I heard was the GMC/ Marine water heater, on-demand water heater, Executive washroom water heater, the LP / Electric 6 gal water heater. It would be helpful to hear your experience.

Jim, your video says we can't run electric water heaters off the generator. Why couldn't we just run a 12A 110V Bosch 3000T 4 gallon water heater directly off something like the Samlex 4200W 120/240 48V Inverter/Charger that I'll be using for a 220v mini split? My question comes down to confirming that the limiting factor that prevents us from electric water heaters is purely the capacity Onan Generator we have in our coaches and once someone goes electric it becomes a non-issue.

I have a '77 Palm Beach, GMC floor plan with the round water heater tank. What replacement do you recommend? I tried calling and got a recording. I sent an email per the instructions on the recording, nothing! Help!

The stainless steel replacement water heater tank (FOR ORIGINAL GMC TANK) is NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
