    I could lease this car for under $600/mo just a few years ago but now they want something close to $1000. Simply amazing how crazy the car market has become.

    hey brother I think you're the perfect person to ask since you own them. I'm in a situation where business is starting to kick off. I'm young 20s. Should I get a daily (m340i) right now and buy an exotic next year, or should I buy a 911 2 months from now and upgrade to exotic next year. If I got the m340i I would probably keep it 3-4 years. Appreciate your opinion!

      Hi, thank you for subscribing to my channel. I think it comes down to if you can live with an exotic as a daily driver. In your 911 scenario, you sell it for an exotic next year. Does the exotic become your only car? I always prefer having a 4 door awd daily, and then the second car can be any sports/exotic I want. Though it is usually cheaper to have one car that does it all. I hope that helps.

    Looking to move on from my 2016 M3 after 8 years of daily driving. Was looking at the 21-22 M550i or a pre-LCI M5. Trying to spend 60-70k max. Should I look at the M340i since I could get one new for what the 5s would cost used? Appreciate your thoughts.

      Yes, look at the M340. If you are coming from an M3 the M550 or M5 might seem too big.

    Do you prefer the RWD or xDrive?

    • @GlennsCarCollection
      @GlennsCarCollection  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      in this car Xdrive because it is rear drive biased and AWD only kicks in when you need it. For sports cars I prefer RWD because I don't drive them daily.

    May I know how does it compared to 6 Series GT side by side used?

    • @GlennsCarCollection
      @GlennsCarCollection  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good Morning, I think you mean 5 Series GT? The five series is a size bigger, probably a better family car due to its larger back seat and hatchback for a trunk. The M340 is more nimble, and lighter, more of a sports sedan.

      Kevin, great choice! yes a few times, most recently last year. It was a beautiful frozen Marina Bay Blue. Type X3M and glenns car collection in the search box and they should come up.

    I would prefer a larger shifter but not much else to complain about. Nice colors inside and out.

    Glen would you take a used 2020 for 40k or a used f80 m3 for 40-45 for a daily.

      I was asking myself as this not too long before I purchased my 23 M340i LCI xDrive. For me, I needed AWD and knew that these cars tuned are plenty fast and I love my warranty.

    • @Sylverlee
      @Sylverlee 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@nickmoraw yeah I think straight line speed should be comparable. But suspension wise m3 should still take it?

    • @GlennsCarCollection
      @GlennsCarCollection  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      if you need AWD then M340i all the way. The M3 will have better handling but a much stiffer ride. I think they are comparable in straight line acceleration because with AWD the M340i can really put the power down. The M3 has too much low end torque and it overwhelms the rear tires. The M3 is definitely more of a sports car and you can get a manual transmission. if you plan on any track days, then M3 all the way, better brakes

    • @Sylverlee
      @Sylverlee 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GlennsCarCollection yeah. I think the m3 would have higher maint costs but is further down its depreciation curve, so could be an interesting buy. Although the interior is starting to feel dated. Never liked bmw manuals either after coming from Porsche manuals
