    I like the Microscope close ups. Makes the before/after shots really satisfying.

    Great use for the old Webster! Nice work, I now will chuck my baby’s brush and get myself a face brush. At least it doesn’t skip, I would consider this a success. Like your videos so far, keep them coming.

    I do almost the same thing when I buy used records and what I’ve found when using tap water is it sounds exactly the same as using distilled water.

    I bought myself a spin clean not that long ago and while i think it does do a good job, i love your method and how thorough your cleaning gets.

    That was a good clean up and the sound is nice and I am a huge Doobie fan also...There are two products I would recommend after a clean up of a record and that is Gruv Glide and Last Record Preservative ..They work together and basically they are a one time application and cuts the static and friction and brings the sound to a higher level..Your lps and stylus will last quite longer also ..

    Hi I think you've done a fine job cleaning that record, I was mine too using similar means, I would ignore the negative viewers rude/patronising comments from listening to you talk about your albums you're very passionate and proud to own them and I'm sure you wouldn't do anything to damage them just like myself great cleaning job mate 👍👏👏👏

    Love the Doobies man. They were on the radio constantly back in the day. Oh my, I like that digital microscope. That scratch looks worrisome. Dang ticks. I hear a fuller fatter bass. The music sounded great...a wider sound stage. Thank you for the needle drops. Keep on cleaning...cheers.

      I picked it up at a generic electronics store here in Australia... called Jaycar. I went for one that had a higher megaPixel count to make sure the images were clear for this channel.
      Here's the link to it. Bloody thing dropped $80 since I bought it 2 weeks ago.

    You can use up to 10% isopropon 5% is fine mix it with dionised water it is purer then distilled water and the few drops of car soap

    • @2ndchancevinyl
      @2ndchancevinyl  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah. Always wanted to know the difference between distilled and deionised. Thanks mate.

    • @jedi-mic
      @jedi-mic ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2ndchancevinyl there is ionised as well not tried that that might cause more static I think that's similar to reverse osmosis, they say dionised water contains more bacteria than distilled but has less minerals but if you're opening a bottle of water ironised or distilled your introducing bacteria from the air anyway. try a couple of drops of that pure car soap not with wax in your mix as well see how you get on. Something else I've used especially when it's very dirty is lens contact cleaner with enzymes works well

    Pretty good result overall. I'd be tempted to put a drop of PVA on that blot at the end of track 1 and give it a harder scrub. Can't make it any worse, and vinyl is tougher than you think.
    Love the new microscope, mine is a cheapo one that's much harder to use!

    • @2ndchancevinyl
      @2ndchancevinyl  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree about vinyl being harder than you think. Get a lot of flack about it on this channel. Not sure what you mean to do with the PVA. Keen to try anything.

    @2ndchancevinyl I ordered the Label saver. It is the final touch to my method. I think by combining your method and mine you can get a good well clean record without the need of spending a fortune.
