I was plowing one year and going down the field with hardly any mud and in the blink of an eye I was sitting on the transmission, and one tire is in what looked like pudding. Land tile broke and made about a 6 foot sink hole..Was an all day job to get the 5 bottom plow out.

those yankem ropes are dynamic lines -- they're like big rubber bands. the intended use is to get a running start and let the rope stretch to yank the stuck vehicle out. that way you're not relying on pure traction to overcome the vacuum of the mud.

One thing I’ve found to help when getting a sprayer stuck like that is fold the booms up. It transfers some of the weight to the front. Not enough to drive out but it can help it pull a little easier.

I honestly think they finally leveraged some of the same ideas that were applied to modern tanks with barrel stabilization for the boom. It makes sense in that you already have a gigantic hydraulic power source for the hydrostatic drives and pumps, and like you said it keeps the boom from clanging and bouncing around meaning less wear and tear.

I met an individual that worked for a major company working on 'human interface' (I don't remember if it was red or green), but you point out a lot of items that can and should be forwarded to CaseIH for development input. I have to agree with you on the variability of the sounds assigned to different functions as selected by the operator (i.e tone, beep, ring, etc.). Great ideas that need to be passed on to the 'human interface' folks! Thanks for the great videos!

that radio. It's standard on most new semis. 1. push the bluetooth button for three seconds. it comes up with connect or buletooth enabled/disabled. use the volume knob to go right/left in the menu. 2. Add phone. 3. connected (sadly every time you turn it off/on you'll have to reconnect) 4. go to your phone in the bluetooth settings under this device look for the setting cog and set it for audio and call. I had mine set for audio only and you can stream away.

The traction control lever separates the two pumps. Forcing two motors to spin. It will always take the the path of least resistance. A lot of times the booms drag back and create leverage on the machine causing the front end to spin out. Simple relief adjustment will correct the booms

We have the same Apache sprayer. We find that for herbicide, putting larger tires on the rear helps a ton with both compaction and not getting stuck. I can’t remember off the top of my head what size they are, but they definitely aren’t the pizza cutter wheels. Other than that, the Apache sprayer is a damn fine sprayer in my opinion.

I worked as a farmhand when I was in High School. (1982) I was plowing one day, driving one of those super big giant Case tractors, pulling discs, and I just was determined to plow as close as possible to that water hole that had formed in a low spot of the field. I got too close. Those big wheels sunk. I got stuck. It sucks. Middle of nowhere. No Radio. Cell phones didn't exist in those days. The boss rarely came to check on me.

Having operated multi-million dollar pieces of electronics equipment (LoRAN-C) back in the seventies our equipment had different light colors for equipment piece status. It was most helpful. Now-a-days with multiple-layer screens not only having different sounds for different issues on these computers would be very good but having sectional status colors down side border tabs would also help the hard of hearing farmers to find and address the issues at hand.

I know you gents are sponsored by case, but Hagie makes the finest sprayer. It's all opinion, but having the boom up front is a massive plus! Everything about them feels "just right". Maybe someday you'll get the pleasure of demo'ing one?

I would love to see a video where you take us "from cold to the field". Basically a uncut video showing how you turn on and operate the sprayer.
