The crowds are here, I thought Seattle was bad! Takes 45 minutes minimum to drive 8 miles to the trails. Almost quicker by bike, except Boise is not bike friendly!
I find it hard to call it a bike park. Lift is part of the ski service and is now open during the summer instead a few special days 4-6 years ago. Only problem is it doesn't really get you to the top of the any of the trails, just skips part of the climbing. Around the mountain is a can't miss for some beat-the-heat ride in the pines. Edit: As he said they do have a long term plan. Perhaps they will open the QUAD to the top at some point again (its not easy to get to on the back side of the main area)
boisetrails.com/10-questions-with-boise-trails-brad-wilson/ There is some good information on Bogus long-term plans here. They don't own most of the land so BLM approval is needed for more lift access trails.
Taxes and cost of living are on par with CA. Seriously. Pull the numbers and run the calcs. CA is only slightly higher and you guys have year round good weather. Idaho is 5+ months of winter.
Don't come to Idaho. Californians are not welcome here. And traffic is the WORST part of Boise. It has the second worst drivers in the country.... Just stay in California. I doubt anyone wants another Californian to move to their state.
It's more like living in California now since the Californians have come across the border like a piñata exploded. Used to be great in the 80s and 90s but literally at the turn of the century, it started going to hell and has only gotten worse
Without the crowds.... Not for long shit it's getting crazy
Looks like a lot of people have been breaking the firs rule about Boise...

I'm blessed to live 20 miles from Downtown Boise, ID
Caldwell?
Great shots! Boise looks fun
That was awesome. More!
Me and a group of buddies are going to eagle bike park this Saturday. Y'all should come!!
The crowds are coming....

Looks like an awesome place to live!
It used to be.
@@GrievousAngelo It still is. Just more expensive.
@@hb7030 Yeah the overall value for middle-class families has decreased significantly.
@@GrievousAngelo Yup, I'd say that if you are not already well off, don't move to Boise. It is tough now for new families.
How is the Bogus Basin bike park? I thought the park already has lift access?

the "bike park" trails are kind of garbage, the singletrack around bogus is sweet

Thanks for the replies people. Definitely looking forward to reading the link!
We have the crowds now lol
Boise is the most hurting city I've ever lived in.
This place is on my list for places to move. Tired of southern california.. love the trails out here but hate the traffic and cost of living.
Haha you think your gonna get away from traffic?! It's exactly that kind of thinking that caused our roads to get messed up bad 🙄🙄
Please don't. Californians have ruined this place. Traffic is really bad now and the cost of living is now sky high.
Taxes and cost of living are on par with CA. Seriously. Pull the numbers and run the calcs. CA is only slightly higher and you guys have year round good weather. Idaho is 5+ months of winter.
We're full. Seriously. It's not enjoyable anymore.

It's boy-see not boy-zee. There is no z and the c is not sounded out like a z
overrated
I would donate my kidney to live in Boise.
