My 2008 C6 is bright yellow just like yours. I bought mine with 11,800 miles on it last June. As of Januray 2019 its sitting at 15,500. Since i purchased the vehicle its been thru two normal services. My check engine light came on last December and it turned out my transmission speed sensor went bad. $860 out of pocket at the dealer. New Tires put on this week (Eagle F1's All season) $600 out of pocket. WHooooo

I love the C5 and C6 Vettes and have made up my mind to go with a C6 though. I've been wanting to buy one for the past 3 years but I needed to buy my house first. Now I'm saving so that I can buy a manual C6 with black interior. I cant wait. I might even give up bikes to be a Corvette owner.

Don't give up On bikes, if you have to wait do so and maybe c7 could be within reach I'm watching this vid because I want one c7 but right now kinda costly for me i guess maybe a c6 but still thinking good luck to you

I know I'd eventually end up with another, but I figured a Corvette would be a nice trade off in terms of performance. A C7 would be awesome and prices for early models aren't bad.

I highly recommend the front and rear Morimoto LED Head & Taillights. I have them on my Corvette and I love ‘em! I also changed out all four side marker lights and the license plate lights and the backup lights. At night my C6 Grand Sport Convertible looks brand new! She got a manual of course cause that’s THE only way to go. LETS GO BIDEN! DEMOCRATS WITH GUNS…

@@Thatsnapchatyellowc6 always had a soft spot for the C6. I really wanted a Mustang but there are so many of them and they dont stand out much. Plus if you want a nice one you gotta spend a lot, whereas with a C6 you get way more car. Might not have the best interior or features but that stuff can be easily addressed. How much did the cam and tune cost you?
The cam including parts and install was 3k.. just depends on who does it though, and yeah the c6 is the best generation imo.. I have driven the c7 multiple times and it is lacking that rawness you get from the c6.

Haha thats right... but honestly the c6 interior isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be... especially if u get one that has the carbon center console/radio trim.. 08 and ups have them and it makes the interior look much nicer. Mine came with bose stereo, nav, heated seats, heads up display, adjustable side bolsters and im sure I'm forgetting something else but the point is.. they are not bare bones like a lot of people claim haha
Insurance in michgan for my vette was over $1100 a month. In illinois the same car was $94 a month. Depends on where you live.

What year is your Yellow C6 Vert.? I don’t believe that I saw the year listed here. I am a long time Corvette Owner buying my first Vette way back in 1970 a ‘67 Vert.. I purchased my 2006 Victory Red Corvette Coupe in mid December of 2017 with just 14,300 miles on it. My first Vette with a Automatic Trans out of 7 Corvettes I have owned over the many years. At present I still own a C2,C3,C5 and my C6. Really liking the automatic in my 2006. This is my last Vette purchase. I just can’t get into the present C7’s. Being a long time Corvette Owner the C7 just doesn’t have the clean lines that made a Corvette stand out to me over the years anymore. The C6 is the last of the nice looking Corvettes ever made by GM so I made my move last December and added one to my little collection of what I always felt were the 4 best looking generation Corvettes ever manufactured.

The C6 is the best looking Vette hands down the newer one's don't compare, maybe more crisp interior but that's about it.

@@wesley42079 Thanks, and yea, I got the automatic. My wife can drive the manual, but with that much HP, I kind of thought this was the way to go. Besides, you have the paddle shifters and can change that way without a clutch. I have a son in Tiburon but don't see many American cars of any kind out there. Check out R-3 Motorcars in SC for a great selection of cars. That's where I got my great deal.

And as far as cost the headers were 410 including the pipe and welding and other exhaust work to go straight piped was 300

Much better than a C7 TranAm. (Cramped, Radio - AC facing driver only, huge arm rail blocking passenger, heavier, me personally cant stand the sharp lines and lack of round tail lights. There is a reason ferrari hasnt given up on round tail lights. They look the best.
Haha c7 trans am😆😆😆😆, I love the look of the c7! But I have test driven one and it was much more cramped and you can definitely feel the weight difference! I think the c6 is more of a purists sports car to the core!
im 23 and bought mine at 20 i think. Such a beautiful fun ride, but not reliable in my opinion. A rainy night, it got hydro locked, connector rods bent, block cracked, just a horrible night. Once i placed a new engine, all sorts of electrical issues. The a lot of electrical parasites. Once your fix all the issues, you can finally enjoy it, congratulations, financial error. 🤣. 🚗
I hate that happened to you! In my experience mine has been super reliable (for as hard as I drive) daily drove it for over 2 years with no real issues

Yes I have had no major issues at all, starter went out around a year ago but only cost 120 to replace

Daivd Wang 05-08 reportedly have shifter cable issues in the auto
@@Darylrb1983 Some typical C6 A6 automatic tranny shifter issues: e.g. solenoid electrical racheted shifter selector gear locked in Park then you can't get the car out of park. Fix can be done diy, see youtube video that can be viewed showing how to fix the auto tranny shifter issues like the knob stuck in park, the bad or broken shifter cable, etc. etc.

Dude your C6 running cost beats my 2016 Highlander cost and its more fun to drive, than my soccer mom mobile as one co-worker described it, Im averaging 15-18 city and usually 22hwy, 27 if there's not too many hills and I put in cruise control, Highlander doesn't need premium though, but four Nitto crosstrek tires 245/60R 18's cost me a grand! Dude you're having way more fun than I am!
For sure it is more fun to drive haha and yeah other than having 2 seats the corvette practicality is better than most people think. But those highlanders are nice🙌

I was 20 when I bought my first C4 corvette. Absolutely loved that car, I think it’s time to get a C6 at 21. Would you recommend the manual or automatic transmission. I heard some bad things about the automatics
I recommend manual, they cost a little more but are well worth it and an 08 and up u get tr6060 which is a great trans

I've been dreaming of a c6 z06 for many years. But it's still out of my price range . been thinking of biting the bullet and finding a cheap base vette. But something in me tells me to wait and get what I want when I can
Imo you get more bang for your buck with an 08 and up base c6... don't get me wrong the z06 is a beast by itself... but those ls3 engines with some decent mods pack a heck of a punch... mine just got sent in for built bottom end and a supercharger
Just something to think about the Z06 can't go three laps around a track without temp warnings going off and a base or grand sport can go all day.

Nothing is wrong with the ls2, just if you’re going to spend the $ if you can get the ls3.. it has more displacement and is a little tougher and breathes a little better than the ls2.. nothing wrong with the ls2 though still a legendary engine

Drive You car Brother enjoy it I daily drive mine I bought it with 12,000 miles 7yrs later up to 82,000...I Drive except for snowy weather...It's Not only a car It's A fun and Exhilarating experience! You don't need A amusement park🙄 (but extra fun if you are driving to and from the amusement park🎪) And as a older cat who rode motorcycles (Superbikes) most of my life it is a great touring car if you want to take it down and crews threw the Florida Keys its all Good.. and if u get challenged its right their👍👌

There's a MASSIVE difference between THRASHING and driving fast. Thrashing is beating a car, but if care is taken when doing so, driving fast doesn't "Hurt" the car. The key words here are "If care is taken", as in take care to me SMOOTH when shifting, braking, and choosing lines, and when to let loose for instance. Burn outs? Thats beating on a car unless you're at a strip and need hot rubber. If you take care of the car, even while driving it spiritedly, certain parts will obviously will still wear faster, but the car itself will remain reliable and tight if driven properly. ;)
I rented an 05 from Turo, man now I want one. The newer the better c6 of course

Yes, and don’t let the stage thing get ya.. each company has different stages of cams.. a stage 3 cam from one company could be bigger than a stage 4 from another company.. not you’re looking for big NA power I recommend tick performance stage 3 polluter cam and with a good tune has good drivability too
There are a slug of corvettes that were produced, just go look at the production numbers. Reason why we dont see them much is because people think they are collector cars (people with c5's especially) so they will be garage queens and not drive them

Hey man can you tell me how far back you can recline the driver seats I know you can recline it more once you move the seat forward but how far back can it go once you do move seat forward a bit

@@Thatsnapchatyellowc6 well tell me one thing if you're sitting in the driver's seat and you move the seat forward and tilt the steering wheel up you can recline the seat back a considerable amount I heard right

I was looking for a new edge or 3v mustang gt but then came across my mind was a c6. Now I cant stop thinking about getting 1. I'm trying to wait and see if prices will go down some but I'm getting ants in my pants lol I'll give the market 6 months and I will need to get 1.

Yeah, 22 & 34 are VERY impressive to me. I didn’t get my first one till I was 49. I owned a ‘67 GTO & a 71 Chevelle. After that I got into Jeep’s and 4 wheeling until my son was born and then I decided to get a family car.
Anyway, once everything was taken care of, I was gonna get another muscle car but the best deals are on C5, 6, & 7 Corvettes, I got an ‘08 base C6 and just loved it! People think it’s a middle age thing but for me, it’s ALWAYS been about speed. Pure SPEED. I got rid of the ‘08 but I’m looking again, possibly for a C7. But even if I had the money for a C8, it just isn’t my cup of tea and if I had one at your guy’s ages, I wouldn’t be here today. When I was 20, a friend of mine was engaged to a guy who owned a large Datsun (Now Nissan) dealership in S. Cal. He asked his soon-to-be son-in-law to find a friend (me) to drive down 2 brand new Datsun 280Z automobiles from San Diego up the coast to another dealership. He told us (2 young, dumb Jarheads) the engine’s weren’t broken in yet, so take it easy. And I did, but since I was 20, I soon found my feet speed clutching that mother and chirpin ’ rubber at 70. We were having a blast until a State Trooper flew past us. I looked down at my speedometer and it was at 137 mph. My Buddy was clocked at 152. He flew past because back in the ‘70s they had checkpoints on the freeways for human smugglers.. It took me, as a Lance Corporal, 2 years to pay off that damn fine.
Yeah that sounds like a stout one haha, I love the 280z tho.. in many ways that was Nissan's/datsuns glory days. I've done 187 in the vette but thankfully wasn't pulled over haha

Mine is 14 years old and is still worth 40% of the original MSRP. Can't say that about any other production car made. Compare it to exotic cars if you want to find one worth more than 40% of the MSRP. Everything else is worth maybe 25% or less of the original MSRP. Compare it with say the same year BMW 750i which is worth between $5,000 to $10,000 and mine which is $25,000 to $30,000. The BMW sold for a minimum $77,000 and mine sold for $57,000. So you can see the resale of that BMW doesn't even compare to the 'Vette.

I have a 2014 C7 Z51 3LT and I love it. I drove the C6 GS and it was amazing. Sadly I only had enough money for 1 car and choose the C7. In the future I'll get a C6 as a collection car. Love cars, adulting sucks lol.
