    My son and I just did this on a 2013 Santa Fe- tedious, but we got it done and saved a LOT of money. This is a good time to replace the PCV valve as you will have easy access, it may help with unexplained high oil consumption.

    Great video. I like that you speed up the frame rate during the routine loosening and tightening of fasteners so as not to waste time, while at the same time, showing all of the steps.
    I have been using the local Hyundai dealership for pretty well all of the service on my wife's 2014 Santa Fe XL as they have generally been quite reasonable with the pricing. When I took it in recently for a "service 2" at about 120,000 km (about 75,000 miles), they recommended the spark plug change at a cost of $Cdn 550.00. I questioned the service manager on this and was told that the labour is a big component on this job. I said that I will decline this service for the time being, as the car runs perfectly and gets good gas mileage.
    Your video helped me understand what is involved and what questions I should ask if/when getting this work done in the future. Given that these are GDI engines, it might be the case that the dealer is including a proper cleaning of the intake manifold as well as replacement of the intake gaskets. If the dealer's price includes an intake cleaning, maybe it is worth the cost. If not, I will do the plug change myself.

    Hey man, this is probably one of the greatest videos I've seen easily look at for the model car. Easy to follow. One thing I wanted to ask you, was whether you just only did the top bolt on the back of the bracket that holds on to the top part of the mount cover cuz it seems like you were able to get to it pretty easily. Once you have that angle tool to do it
    In addition, it looks like you just basically reverse install the air stuff and so as a non-car person it kind of looks intimidating but it looks like it's easily done

    • @alandaters8547
      @alandaters8547 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I replaced the gasket on mine, but in early 2024 it was a little hard to find. Also, some online sites steer you to the wrong gasket-compare before ordering!
