Love this! Make sure however that you don’t interfere too much from day 19 because they usually don’t move from the nest to keep constant temperature and humidity !
Thank you Ash. I had known this was the case with using an incubator and its good to know to watch out for it with a broody mama too. I felt I had to give them a break because they were put into that cage and I couldnt leave the door open for them to take their own breaks because of all the drama! They didnt spent too long away from the nests thankfully. Have a great day!

Hi Louve, It suddenly came to me what she must want after so much of her dramatics. I really thought it must be food at first! Never has she been so persistent. I spotted her outside the window flying up onto the table to look in the moment she saw me in the morning. My sister had let them out that day. Little did I know what dramas were just beginning. I have a serama who flies up at the window when she wants to lay her egg inside! I love Seramas,,,mine are called Angel and Precious and 2 buff orpingtons x
Another Precious like mine! Arent they just the feistiest cleverest breed? I love them. Yours who flies up to your window must love you a lot and feel safer laying her eggs in the house. Mine would have loved to but I had to insist they lay in their coop! I cant have them trying to come inside all day 🙂 How do your Buff Orpingtons get on with your little seramas? I am always curious about how different sizes get along.

They really are ! My seramas always figure out new things - like if I move a cage or barrier whereas my silkies get all confused

This was so cute!! The drama Mr.snuggles and Squeaky are having is so much mischief!! Hahaha!! I love these little banty chooks! I wish I still had mine but sadly they were stolen. Splash was my little tiny hen I had and she was so intuitive like Squeaky and just as mischievous too! One day I will get more but since they were stolen I have not gotten the courage to get more. One day though I will.... just not yet. Love this video and can’t wait for the hatching to start! ❤️🙏🏽

@@r.k.dreamingspetchickens1266 it was sad but I hope they are doing will cause majority of the people around me have fighting birds. I got have banties anymore but in the future I will get more just not now. There are so much wild chickens around me too so it is a drama filled no matter what.
Yes Squeak was crazy to jump into the window but she was going to find her indoor nest and didn’t care how she got in she is a stalker hahaha love that chook!❤️

The wild ones (chooks) would always bring their babies around my property. If not they would have nests hidden. Which I would find and just monitor the hatch from afar.
I am in Hawaii in the US. The chicken population in some areas are just absolutely booming. But they are majority feral fighting chickens and the occasional fancy ones but only roosters cause some people don’t like having roosters cause they crow so much.

It is so funny that Squeaky has Mr. Snuggles searching with her for her golden nest😁 it just proves they communicate with each other but too bad we cannot understand them. You are such an attentive Mommy that you figured out the means to her madness. She was on a mission and put Mr Snuggles on high alert . I first thought Squeaky was nervous and could sense the baby’s pipping or could hear their light chirps.
The drama is just too hilarious 😂 😂

Hi Janelle, what a wonderful comment! Thank you so much. I also thought at first maybe the other three were acting up because they could hear the babies peeping in their shells. Perhaps it was a combination - but Squeak's main agitation most definately came from her determination to find the perfect nest. She is so hilarious. Once, after Artemis had been indoors with her new chicks (MR Snuggles et al), Squeak decided that indoors was THE PALCE to lay, and came and deposited her egg in the kitchen on the TILES! 😂 😂 It's no nice to hear you tried to set up notifications - I am so glad you are enjoying the dramas! @@r.k.dreamingspetchickens1266 yes ms RK they are both getting along for now as they hatched 3 hours apart but as they get older they will try assert their dominance over each other.
I do have another shamo chick a few days older than these 2 but it keeps trying to fight with them so is separated Which does make it get a little lonely.

@@r.k.dreamingspetchickens1266 To sort this I have recycled an old aviary so I can separate them when they start this as I don't want one afraid of another this way I get what I want the chickens gain more confidence and the world has less rubbish.

How did the hatch go? I’ve been admittedly hooked on watching this series and almost ended up with Seramas at the poultry show I attended.
Hey, thanks for watching! Hatch day - day 21 - video is up now. Day 22 brought us some more dramas and I will upload as soon as I can. Seramas are so adorable! I better not go near a poutry show as I would be too tempted! 😊 Be careful if mixing with bigger breeds though. They have as much feistiness for how tiny they are and may not back down in a fight! Recipe for trouble.

Hi Ana Maria, Artemis passed away a couple of months ago. I found she had passed away in the morning and it was a big shock. Thanks for thinking of her. She was so sweet.

When the chicks hatch and grow to become hens will Mr snuggles be inbreeding?
That is an interesting question! I read online that chickens are a little more tolerant of inbreeding than many species and that you can safely mate brother and sister chickens for at least a few generations. However time will tell what will happen. I plan on keeping the females hatched in this same flock. Do you have any experience/information on this matter to share?
@@r.k.dreamingspetchickens1266 you can inbreed them, but I would recommend just one or two generations. Don't let the second generation breed with their siblings Inbreeding can cause the chickens to have crooked toes.

Lol!! It certainly seemed like it, but boy can she be determined when she wants to be. I wonder if I had let her have that nest inside if she would have finally settled into broodiness? But there were no eggs there so it was pointless. Will let her or Lulu hatch some eggs I think next time they lay a clutch...
