What you specifically left out in that Cannibus(also his name is Cassidy) versus LL Cool J rap beef, is that LL Cool J contacted DMX and Cassidy for his album as he wanted newer rap artists to be featured. Both Cassidy and Cool talked, and Cassidy liked his microphone arm but Cool thought he disrespected him. After LL Cool J asked Cassidy to change his lyrics, Cassidy asked back to for him to also change some of his verse that Cassidy heard as subliminal shots at Cassidy himself. They both talked over the phone, and LL Cool J repeatedly kept telling Cassidy he'll do it, it's be cool, and repeatedly told him not to drop a diss. So when LL Cool J invited DMX, other rappers, he did not invite Cassidy over, and he also didn't changed his lyrics that gave subliminal shots to Cassidy, and word circulated in the hip hop culture that LL Cool J disrespected Cassidy and Cassidy's a punk, so really Cassidy felt so disrespected and his reputation as an upcoming lyricist on the line he had to make a diss track against LL Cool J. We'll never know the specifics between Cassidy and Eminem's rap beef, we know enough that Eminem looked up to LL Cool J and likely bite some of his rap style for himself, which resulted in both artist's styles being very similar, which may have led to Cassidy thinking Eminem ghost written for LL Cool J as it's quite lyrical a bit. And Cassidy had every reason to be suspicious because in Hip Hop culture, when it comes to rap battles and diss tracks, THE RAPPER DISSING WRITES HIS/HER OWN LYRICS! NO GHOST WRITERS INVOLVED! That was the 1 rule every has to abide by, and if you broke it or tried to bend it, you'll mostly be seen as a clown and fake Emcee and fake soft rapper. I generally don't mind ghost writers in other art media and even in music genres, but in particular with diss tracks you have to wirte your own bars and spit at the person who crossed you!

Surprised you didn't mention Bis' battle with Dizaster. For all this talk about Canabis being a battle rapper and wanting to battle Em, is there any footage of Bis actually smokin' people in battles? Did he ever even did battle rap like that? I only saw that one and that was not a good look for Bis at all. We know Em did battles, there's plenty of footage of him from back in those days. Everybody knows that's where he came from, 8 mile is not all fiction. So I don't think a battle between them would be interesting at all, I think it would be a massacre similar to Bis vs Diz, even if Bis didn't choke. After LL Cool J asked Cassidy to change his lyrics, Cassidy asked back to for him to also change some of his verse that Cassidy heard as subliminal shots at Cassidy himself. They both talked over the phone, and LL Cool J repeatedly kept telling Cassidy he'll do it, it's be cool, and repeatedly told him not to drop a diss. So when LL Cool J invited DMX, other rappers, he did not invite Cassidy over, and he also didn't changed his lyrics that gave subliminal shots to Cassidy, and word circulated in the hip hop culture that LL Cool J disrespected Cassidy and Cassidy's a punk, so really Cassidy felt so disrespected and his reputation as an upcoming lyricist on the line he had to make a diss track against LL Cool J.
We'll never know the specifics between Cassidy and Eminem's rap beef, we know enough that Eminem looked up to LL Cool J and likely bite some of his rap style for himself, which resulted in both artist's styles being very similar, which may have led to Cassidy thinking Eminem ghost written for LL Cool J as it's quite lyrical a bit. And Cassidy had every reason to be suspicious because in Hip Hop culture, when it comes to rap battles and diss tracks, THE RAPPER DISSING WRITES HIS/HER OWN LYRICS! NO GHOST WRITERS INVOLVED! That was the 1 rule every has to abide by, and if you broke it or tried to bend it, you'll mostly be seen as a clown and fake Emcee and fake soft rapper. I generally don't mind ghost writers in other art media and even in music genres, but in particular with diss tracks you have to wirte your own bars and spit at the person who crossed you!

There were multiple tracks leaked. They were all supposed to be on encore. And Encore was received poorly because Eminem hadn’t sufficiently replaced the leaked tracks. He rushed them out. And 2 of the leaked tracks ended up as bonus tracks. Encore released in 2004, which is around the time Canibus got back. So the diss was actually supposed to release in 2004.

Did he ever even did battle rap like that? I only saw that one and that was not a good look for Bis at all.
We know Em did battles, there's plenty of footage of him from back in those days. Everybody knows that's where he came from, 8 mile is not all fiction. So I don't think a battle between them would be interesting at all, I think it would be a massacre similar to Bis vs Diz, even if Bis didn't choke. His disses were weak, he can't go off the dome, the whole Stan thing is pathetic, and this beef never really felt serious.
It definitely didn't seem like Em was ever taking it seriously, seemed like he was just having fun taking random shots at a dude who kept pestering him trying to get attention. Bis never made it big in the industry, but if Em never mentioned him on his albums his career would have very likely died a lot sooner.
You also didn't mention Bis' recent interview with Math Hoffa where he basically admitted he only dissed Em because he was angry at how his career was going and "just wanted a hug". At least he finally matured enough to admit it.

It's thought that looking back in hindsight he's some form of neurodivergent, especially with how muchof a prodigy he was with tech (he used to do data management for the government and coded his own website in the 90s, something very few people could do back then) and also being able to rhyme like an animal. It's thought that his experience with wyclef, as well as not naturally fitting in to these aggressive environments, left him with his harsh response to things, you can't really blame him for smth like that yk?
