►Check out a full playthrough of Dying Light 2 - th-cam.com/video/jxC5pGpZmw8/w-d-xo.html ►UPDATE - To clear some confusion up, as many people are starting to confirm some new facts. To get the best ending, where Lawan leaves with Aiden in the end after saving the city. You need to keep Hakon Alive the whole game, have Lawan spare Hakon after Hakon boss fight, then have Lawan become a nightrunner, talk to her after she becomes a nightrunner and express your feelings. Then save Frank from death. Not sure if this affects the ending, but make sure the survivors end up claiming control of the city in the end of the game, and finally choose to save Mia at the end, basically the final choice. If all these are done, you should get the best ending. Hope this helps. Made a separate endings video as the other one was half focused on the final boss. This one is just endings. The ending where Aiden leaves with Lawan after saving Mia and preventing the city from being destroyed is the true and best ending for players expecting a happy ending. I was just glad that in that ending, Aiden actually has Lawan beside him to comfort him after his sister passed away.
I audibly wheezed when Aiden looked back at the desolated city, listening to desperate cries and pleas for help, *and just smiled and carried on his way*
I really dont like how in the “true” ending, hakon doesnt leave with you. When you make the deal with him in the beginning of the game it just feels right that you would leave together.
Damn, I did not realize how emotionally attached I was gonna be with the story in this game. I got the best ending on my first play through, with Hakon, Lawan, and Frank surviving. The survivors ran the city, and Lawan left with Aiden. I had a lot of fun and this game did a great job having me really think about some of the decisions I made whether if it was a good choice or a bad one. This game was definitely worth the $60 to me Edit: I was really bummed that Mia didn’t make it considering she was one of the top goals of the game. But for what it’s worth, I think the game brought a really good arc for Aiden
I only didn't get the best ending cause I didn't side with coronel man, got the good ending though, and I like it more than lawan going with Aiden, since Aiden promised hakon to take him to the ocean
the only ending where the three survive is the one where aiden goes to save lawan, hakon saves mia, and the missiles launch, killing half the city. when aiden chooses to save mia, hakon goes to save lawan and sacrifices himself to destroy the missiles so lawan can escape. so the only ending where the trio survives is the one where aiden pisses off lawan
I actually kind of like the ending where you leave with hakon as thats the one i got but its actually kind heart warming to see them leave together after making that deal together
I never felt more regret choosing to leave Hakon to his fate when I found out the truth. I should've trusted him. I'm replaying again just so that he'll live, no matter which ending I'll get.
hakon saved aiden he owned him once and as hakon said they were even in my opinion i saw hakon as selfish but also i did find it suspicious i thought he had someone in the center to save or smth
I got Hakon through the whole story but I misunderstood the last choice. I thought by saving Lawan that meant Aiden would take her place, if I knew it would’ve continued the bombing entirely, I never would’ve done it, but at least Aiden had Hakon when he left what was left of Villedor… It was so sad having Spike walk through the empty bar…
@NotQiuiqz I wish dude, especially since the bombing ending makes it so any time you play your save after the ending, the central loop of villedor is mostly coveted with a thick gray dust
Does anyone know why I didn’t get the Hakon ending? I saved Hakon at the church and never killed him, gave VNC tower to PK and saved lawan at the end. Shouldn’t I be with Hakon?? (I feel sad I’m alone lmao)
@@filippoferrari7176 i think giving the tower to survivors and saving lawan in the end (instead of letting lawan detonate the bomb), you will get the hakon ending.
@@badvalentinex8779basically keeping Hakon, Frank Alive while siding with the survivors the whole time while also Listening to the colonel while also Saving Mia in the end
Me too! I hope I can replicate it too when there's a huge DLC that continues the story like The Following. I think we just gotta trust and save Hakon the whole way through, care for the peace keepers, side with the colonel, and then be selfless and choose to save lives instead of ourselves. Am I missing anything?
@@brianncn1513 YES! And actually, the bartender was telling a story that had already occur. So either Aiden sent Hakon on his way or...Hakon is a time trevelever.
@@dangelocake2635 Actually, I think it seems like every NPC has magic shoes that when not observed allows them to travel anywhere instantly. You are talking to them, they step around you and suddenly they are hundreds of meters away.
@@dangelocake2635 considering the space chicken and the twins broadcast about the modified car, time travel honestly isn't that far out there of an idea at this point.
Yep same, and now my 70 hour save is ruined because there's this stupid fog everywhere and no way to get rid of it. I am currently replaying on hard difficulty to get the good ending, and to be honest, I'm not too mad I have to do it all again, the game is just so much fun that I don't really care.
Same man! I chose to save lawan thinking it would be me that blows up x13 but nope, the minute Aiden says " I'm saving you even if the city pays the price " I was like...oh fuck, this is not what I wanted. I kinda feel like they should make the choices clearer..I didn't know choosing " let lewan detonate the bomb " would mean we grab Mia too, and I didn't know saving lawan blew up the city.
Just a tip for anyone annoyed by theyre ending. I noticed the save game was located in the documents folder as well and if you have onedrive then you have that folder synced which gives you access to previous versions of that save file. So i had 10-15 previous saved games so i could easily go back. Then you just copy it to the Steam userdata save folder, turn off cloud sync and youre good to go :)
@@furanduron4926 u can ezily get back on the platform by 2 jumps without running around. If u observed the area properly u would have seen it. Would have taken u like 5-10 sec through this way
In my playthrough, I thought if I divided territory evenly between survivors and the PKs, they'd form some sort of uneasy alliance so they could all survive together if that made sense and do away with the Renegades. I was wrong. I gave control of the VNC tower to Juan and I couldn't save Frank. I'd helped Hakon when he was shot by Lawan in Old Villedor beforehand and in the end, I chose to save Mia. I don't know if Lawan survived, the text didn't say if she did, but I think Hakon might have died when the Renegades turned on him when we entered X13, I'm not sure. Either way, Mia died despite me hoping I could save her and the city is then ran by Juan and Williams, now I wish I hadn't helped Juan. I thought if I divided territory evenly, I'd get a special ending or something. The ending broke me. Aidan seemingly lost everyone and the city is left to be ran by self centered pricks, while he has to now wander the wastes until he inevitably turns into another volatile in a world of billions of infected. Dammit game, you did a good job hitting me hard.
Villedor's destruction provided a cathartic release for me, as I watched the inferno city that had wasted 30 hours of my life reduced to rubble. Leaving with my boy Hakon was just a bonus.
Seeing the city turned to toxic wasteland knowing that the guy who kept getting stung by a bee milion times and wont shut up about it finally met his painfull demise was spiritualy freeing for me 😆
I wish there was an ending where Aiden leaves with both Hakon and Lawan. That would've been so cool in my opinion and would also be a great set up for a future dlc
Yeah same. All 3 of them deserved each other and its sad they didnt go together.I just loved their chemistry they had with each other amd wished they had a happier ending.
I love the detail where, if you let the missiles destroy Villedor and Aiden walks out alone, his facial expression as he leaves is like none of the other cutscenes. In that ending he was much more depressed leaving because he was alone, Villiedor is destroyed, and he couldn’t save Mia. That’s the definition of a worst ending
@@buddakream978 yea and hakon saves Mia supposedly, if you get hakon to survive, he appears in the end when you choose to save lawan and grabs Mia, dunno where he put her but yeah
@@chimbrazz The voice over at the end from the bartender says she died after a few days. I really wish I understood the last text, I had Hakon save mia while I went to save Lawan. I thought that I would be sacrificing myself instead, but naww nuked the entire damn city 🙃
Well... Hakon died by my hands long ago. My only choice was to save lawan and let the city be destroyed or to save the city, so naturally I chose the greater good. I felt like it was the "good" ending because the city was saved- but at what cost? Aiden wandered off on his own, Lawan and Mia are both dead... I feel empty inside tbh
It's unfortunate that you've gotta level the city for the Hakon and Aiden ending, but I'll probably replay the story for that one. To the ocean they went, It's canon for me dawg
I have to say that my least favorite thing in the story is what the Peacekeepers became and I curse myself for siding with them (and ultimately giving them control of the city despite killing Jack). I sided with them early on for Aitor and Anderson, and then continued not for Jack but for Rowe. Jack was actually my least favorite of the PK leaders, but guess who was the only one to survive? By the ending I was too far committed to the PK’s, and I really wish I went with the survivors (despite how annoying I thought Sophie to be).
yeah its really fucking annoying how much this game punishes you for choosing the PK's. To me they seem like an obvious choice, they protect the survivors and legitimately are civil, having a whole ass court system and just fighting for order. On the other hand you have survivors who are stuck with superstitions like the crystals that do nothing for hope. And then the game proceeds to throw shit in your face with the Aiden not using the PK broadcasts to warn for the missiles in Veronika even though he easily could and the rest of the game goes to shit. I wish they wouldve made the PK's assholes from the beginning rather than completely fuckin 180. god damn sorry for the rant
I was going to side with the PK because of Aitor but Lawan saying somebody has to be on the side of the people changed my mind. I was really happy I didn't side with the PK when i learned that Jack ordered Aitor to burn out the eyes of the healer that was trying to heal some PK soldiers, but the PK administering the medicine didnt follow the directions correctly leading to the soldiers deaths.
exactly it’s like the first half of the game, the survivors are dickheads and the PKs are nice n shit, especially with Aitor. The 2nd part of the game comes and it’s the whole other way round, except Rowe and Aitor stayed the same with a few exceptions from Rowe. Central Loop Survivors > Old Villedor Survivors
so many choices in this game that change the end dialogue. saved lawan city it blown up. spike says the package is for jack matt but lawan never gets mentioned that she's the new leader of the nightrunners. game is insane
I liked the story and quests of the PKs more than the survivors, and I also thought it would be better if the city had some sort of order. So I sided with them only to see them becoming a dictator at the end. Btw the story and quests specifically are about the VNC tower, the squad you go with only to see them save you instead of themselves
All the endings and decisions are underwhelming. Why bother making different endings if you decide to make Survivors along with idiot Sophie and her drunkard brother to be the good ending.
I actually got the true ending and I didn't even know that was it. I wish Hakon would come together though...such a great character. I wish the DLC will show us more of what happens after the ending.
@@adamparker3151 True, But I couldn't forget that he saved Aiden, all of this because he was the only one to step up and do something about this stranger.
Ya know leaving with Hakon could be a contender for the true ending honestly. I mean think about it, Hakon takes Mia out of the facility so she may live, Hakon and Lawan both obviously live, and we can also assume the night runners do to since Lawan is now their leader which idk if Frank is alive or not. I assume alive cause the guy says if it's for the night runners then go to Lawan instead of Frank so he may be alive, which if so all the characters that are important or the coolest characters in my opinion survive at the cost of half the city. Win in my book lol
But think about it villidor was the last standing city and half of it gone that leave bacically no where left on earth so they would always have to be on the run and never find a safe home to stay. UNLESSSSS there is soemthing big about New Paris we don’t know because they is referred to many time in the game but yet never explained so I think that’s also another standing city where people are living.
I'm so annoyed by the Peacekeepers ending. Like look at the Bazaar. 1)Trying to witchhunt linch you, even though you're just a mailman 2) Trying to bring chaos everywhere and if shit goes wrong tuck their tails. Make deals with renegades instead of peacekeepers. Eating dogs who protect them, then blaming the kid that he shoud've let them eat before it died to zombies. Stealing from peacekeepers so they can't fight just to inflate prices. Stealing food and water amoung themselves. 3) Having 0 contribution to help the city. No plans for the future, no plans to save anyone but themselves. And yet somehow anarchy works and they have plenty of food and water. Yet peacekeepers trying to fight zombies. Putting up lights and traps so people can avoid, lure away zombies. Actually trying to restore the City. And in the end the're the bad guys. ALMOST all their sub quests is self sacrifice for other, main quest too. Specially dog tags, book club. All Bazaar quest: steal this from him, kill him and steal for me, or just utter bulshit...
Agreed my first playthrough I’ve gone full PK simply because they always approached me in a respectful way. The survivors degrade and insult you the whole time so frick them beaches. I think the moment they tried to lynch me for existing was the moment the signed their death warrant.
One thing for sure in dying light ending If you heard "good night and good luck" means it is a true ending👌 Edit: now idk what the hell i see in comment section now just because i type true ending. This is why i saying just "good night and good luck" is always a big motto for dying light ever since 1st franchise to always telling ourself that because these goddamn zombie run way faster than my grandpa when young. Whatever the faction u choose or you can get lawan or not, its your choice effect which cant even calling that is not true ending. Being true is definition for y'all Whatever you believe which faction suit you.
@@azazelsvideos8298 the city control is people prefer to what they believe. I do know survivor is the best situation but i can see some ppl might prefer pk or commander take city. As for aiden with lawan or not. Well i have a same boat for having lawan is true ending while aiden alone is not a true ending. But nah Dying Light with having their quote speak is already a good whatever the perspective is
@@zmkatsu4885 i honestly like the PK's ending more than the Survivor's ending. It just seems more realistic. Bringing order while punishing criminals with my brothers in arms? Count me in!
I just hope the DLC isn't some sort of flashback type thing and we actually see where Aiden goes after the ending. And depending on your choice, either Hakon or Lawan would be with you or Aiden will be by himself. I also hope they add new game+ soon cause my ending was literally just a black screen.
It will probably take place before the ending, utilising all the bits of campaign that were cut. I mean they said at e3 the butcher stronghold mission was the midway point of the campaign, not the penultimate mission. And playing the game, it definitely feels like the final few missions were stiched together with bits missing.
@@titularhero That's kinda funny cause I do remember seeing them say something about the Butcher mission being somewhere in the middle of the story and not at the end. Gives me a feeling that the DLC will most likely expand on the ending although I doubt it.
Absolutely epic game. We got the True ending the first time and it's a gem that Lawan survived, it's almost like a treat from the developers for making such a hard choice. Amazingly done characters and we can't wait for a Dying Light 3! :D
Lawan is a more annoying version of jade from the first game "I'm a strong independent women so fuck you but wait please dont leave me protagonist I love you 😩"
For me, on my first playthrough (that I just completed now), I saved the city and left alone...I wanted to leave with Hakon. That was the only ending that felt like the GOOD ending to me. Especially with the deal, we made in the beginning. When I was in the church with him, I was so depressed, cause I thought he would die, but then he got to live, and we were on good terms again, then I ended up leaving alone anyways. Shit hurts, since he was truly my favorite character. I think it sucks that I would have to start a WHOLE NEW game, just to get the ending I'd want...but I guess that's that. Guess I'll have to play through again soon. Can't wait to 100% the game!!
so good and sad at the same time wish there was more to the story as i still wanna play the game guess j can still lv up and do quests but imma miss seein hakon frank and lawan n im not rlly tryna start over again sadgeee
@@rudythecat9067 well there are 2 more story dlc’s coming up sometime this year that are expected to be as big as dying light the following (content wise) so trust me we still have a lot of story
Aiden slowly turns around, as a distant gleam lights up his tender, but pallor face, he gives the city, basking ever so peacefully in the glow, one long last look as it peers right back. For the briefest of moments... his life flashes before his eyes. The good, the bad... the joy, the pain... his friends, his foes... his... journey. Had he done the right thing? Could things have turned out better? It was a difficult question to answer. But, despite everything that had transpired, everything that he had done, everything that he had become… he knew somewhere, somewhere deep inside that… everything would be okay. And suddenly, faster than the blink of an eye, a violent surge of warmth began to overwhelm him. A strange sensation that he could not quite put his finger on. What was this? He wasn’t able to find an answer, but… nor did he feel that he really needed to; he was merely enjoying the moment. He found what he came for, and perhaps… he left with something greater, something more… precious. Enthralled by his sudden thoughts, Aiden smiles for himself and gives one final nod to the life he once knew, before turning back around and becoming one… with the gloaming horizon.
Anyone would get it if they try their best to save anyone or doesn't want anyone to die, you also need to read every lines just to make sure the path you're on is good for everyone.. You need to be forgiving to earn that one..
Finally, after never getting over the fact that I got the worst ending in the Witcher 3, I'm so proud of myself for getting the "true ending" in this game. If you haven't finished the Witcher 3, trust me, you don't want the bad ending. It's still stuck in my head 6 years later!
@@theegg.3105 I can't really say anything without spoiling the entire game, but I can say that it's very well written and animated, and very very sad. If you're that interested just type in "Witcher 3 bad ending" into TH-cam and watch.
The love interest between them really kept the story going for me. I really enjoyed the main story so much. I rushed through it because i was impatient. Going to start the game over soon and do all side quests etc.
That’s exactly what I do because I want to see what happens and how the story unfolds so I rush through. Then I re play it and really take my time with the play style ie, be Mr Helpful and honest but then maybe re play with a more abrupt approach and not be so honest and helpful. I’m interested to see what the outcome of any. I wonder if you could get through the game without any inhibitors since that’s what ultimately makes Aiden turn… 🤔
I just get the story done because I want to enjoy the game and do all the side quests after I’m done but then I end up getting kinda attached to the story and stuff.
Whats sweet about that hakon ending is that even if the villedor and people in it died because of aiden, hakon still decides to be with him because he knows what it feels like to fail everyone (the time hakon chickened out of frank’s idea for vnc tower) Dang, the story is much better than 1
@@icycold7732 it may suck for you but other people are enjoying the game. True the game is not mind-blowing or exceptional but it does do a lot of things really well.
@@friedmetcalf2428 Honestly Hakon's first betrayal moment where he gets shot by Lawan really hurt. I thought he was a good friend and I was sad Aiden was going to cut him off. Then Hakon comes back and says that and it crushed me. I didn't want to continue the game when I thought he died from that first fight. So glad I worked hard to spare him and found out the truth 😅
I got the ending where Aiden leaves by himself. But I left Hakon to die after he got shot, I gave the tower to Jack but bugged it with Juan, Frank died, I let Williams live, I choose the option to save Lawan but when it asked again I decided to stay with Mia. When I stayed with Mia, the game actually told me that Hakon was able to save Lawan. I literally never saw Hakon again until the end of the game
I won't lie, when I was viewing the ending moments, I was genuinely terrified that Lawan didn't make it... ... I damn near burst into tears hearing her voice as she joined Aiden on his travels. WE made the right choices and damnit I am proud of that!
I got the true ending in my first try yesterday although I destroyed the Bazaar, and boy I loved every moment of this beautiful game, I only wished Hakon could have joined Us in the end. I saved him everytime I got the change become he was the only one who saved us in the beginning and I remembered that.
I got the true ending with lawan and aiden leaving the city on my first playtrough, 100% best ending in my opinion. Even tough my game was really buggy and there where a lot of audio bugs that really messed up my gameplay but still this story is amazing and it overshines the bugs

@@LowIQIsaiah Give Frank the Radio Tower. Believe Colonel Williams instead of Jack Matt. Keep Hakon alive. Save Frank during Breakout. Let Lawan detonate the explosives.
Here are my choices, I saved Hakon, and didn't let Lawan kill him. I saved Mia instead because I trusted Lawan to do the job I got the survivors the radio tower, but most of the territories are PK (I don't think it really matters in the ending). I trusted the Colonel William (Butcher) instead of Jack Matt. I tried to flirt with Lawan in the alone time with her, playing the empathy card with her. So in the end I got the survivors ending and Lawan to leave the city with me, and Mia died but at least she got one last look at the sunrise. Colonel Williams is still alive, but Jack Matt is probably dead or not in control anymore. So the Renegades and the Survivors are probably going to work together to survive base on what Lawan said "I'm not staying with Williams"
Yea seriously man, like no one wins at all. At least will the blown up city I had a “well the factions were all dickheads anyway” and I like how the game kinda went back to him with nothin, kinda like how Mad Max was with going full circle. Renegade ending neither main faction gets the upper hand and all the citizens are just sad and oppressed😕
Im so pissed. I did EVERYTHING right for the good ending but i chose to save Lawan and destroy the city not knowing Hakon wouldve saved her for the other ending. I was this close to getting the best ending...
I saved Lawan because I promised Frank she would be okay. I didn't realize either. I would saved Mia in a heartbeat if I realized which option was to save her.
I somehow managed to make every single correct decision to get the best ending and then panicked at the end and chose to Save Lawan, this is why you don’t choose the ending when you’re tired and just finished arguing with your significant other, this sucks. 😭😭😭 gotta play the whole thing again now

I wish I got the hakon ending. That was the one I wanted . The lawan ending didn’t make sense considering she was so excited to be a night runner. Hakon wanted to go
honestly most of the choices happen late game. The other choices made from the start don't really matter. I might make a guide sometime tomorrow of this weekend.
Got the true ending on my first play through I was so happy I though Lawan was going to get killed. Sometimes the hardest less obvious choices bring about the best results.
Got the true ending first try lol glad I didn’t side with the pks also I’m kinda annoyed that they’d didn’t have a ending where Aiden harkon and lawan leave the city together would have been a cool trio and I was kinda hoping to take harkon to the 🏖 beach😂 but maybe in the ending where lawan leaves he decides to stay and continue being a night runner
I was looking for this comment, i agree, i never liked lawan (she is ugly, i like my women white) if i chose to go for her it was for mia, not for her, but the damn game said i did it for her WTF?
This game was phenomenal, glad I played it. Loved every minute of it, although I wasn’t sure if I would like it at first since it was so different compared to the first game.
I LOVE the fact that some enemies are harder than most bossess I mean i killed every boss in like a minute Because molotovs make them panic and you can murder them easily
The ending always bugged the crap out of me. Finding out Mia isnt your blood sister is a game changer in a bad way.. Basically going through so much for all of that, and saving her is so stupidly pointless because she just dies anyways with no additional dialogue. Also like what ever becomes of people like Thalia, Carl, Sophie, Aitor and all that?
@@trustee8503 Kind of annoyed with my ending, Aiden leaves alone after destroying the city. I let Lawan kill Hakon because I was afraid he would backstab Aiden again in the future (funny how it’s the opposite), but hey I guess Lawan still survived so there’s that.
I JUST beat it for the second time. Wasn’t even really focusing on my choices, and got the Hakon and Lawan live ending. I thought, “this has to be the best ending you can get.”
I went with the peacekeepers because without securing the city from the infected and by doing that securing the resources of the city there would be a technological stagnation, and of course you can say that there was the pair of "inventors" with the survivors but scavinging things will get you only so far. Without the resources and secure places to be able to build new things in future humanity will never rise again, plus i have choosen the peacekeepers because I think they will expand outside the city securing more territories and one more reason I have choosen the peacekeepers is that they have a judicial system and they are not a one man cult and have a hierarchy.
I did the same, you can see how drastically reduced the casualty and the population was with the peacekeeper ending and you know that while heavy authority does have its ups and downs, eventually more people will live than die. Jack Matt was the only corrupt member of the peacekeeper...well not so much as corrupt, but good intentions executed terribly. But Jack Matt eventually dies from cancer or from you, so that would mean great leaders like Aitor would replace him and thus the peacekeepers would be even better off.
I -sided with peacekeepers -Picked Juan side -Didn't kill hakon and every chance I got i spared him - told lawan to blow the facility ( the credits say she survived as hakon saved her) I walked out alone, and Juan ruled the city it seems ,with the peacekeepers.
Your mistake was siding with peacekeepers, no offense since it was personal preference, but legit everyone but one person I knew who played never sided with peacekeepers because of how much of a douche bag they were to you, and for the one he sided with the peacekeepers because he had a huge crush on Aitor and then he regretted it after he finished the game LOL.
Nah not all Peacekeepers were douchebags like Anderson or that one guy that didn't want to abandon the settlement it's just shit writing I can understand if they were just complete douchbags the entire game but the writers clearly decided to make them evil because there has to be a evil side and good side.
@@pastelantlers7479 dude the survivors tried killing you multiple times. Even Frank treats you like shit until he realizes he can use you. The only douche PK is Jack Matt.
I got the same ending also but I didn’t side with the pks. My guess is you have to assign all faction facilities to the survivors and since I had max facilities for the survivors I used my last one for the pks and got that ending
I’ve gotten a ending I’ve seen no one else get yet. The missles destroy X13. Unfortunately many people lost their lives during the earlier missles. Hakon saves Luwaan before the missles explode. Aiden saves Mia. The peacekeepers take control of the whole city while the Bazaar resists their rule. Mia ends up dying a few hours later and Aiden leaves the city by himself
I got i too, like i wish that the survivors would take Control of the City But they didnt. In the ending aiden just walks away alone and nikolas says that the city wouldnt be still standing without aiden. I dont know what kind of ending it is. I just played the game honorable, like who died for me. I choosed to give water etc to the survivors But on the Mission where u can give Control bout the biggest building i Gave it to Matt, cuz Frank were a pussy and the soliders from Matt died for the mission, thats why i gave to Matt. But i were everytime on the survivors side all the Time thats Why i don’t understand Why the Peacekeepers had the Control bout the city...
Tru3Talent got that ending as well. He finished it on stream yesterday. Was wondering what the other endings were and came here :) Apart from Peacekeepers taking control, instead it was the Colonel in his playthrough.
I love the endings, because Spike walks into the bar and orders a beer, "but only if it's not flat." At the beginning of the game, Spike and Aiden share a few beers that are, unfortunately, flat. 😜
My ending was everyone survived in the city controlled by civilians, Lawan sacrifices herself to safe city. Hakon didn't save her because I beat the shit out of him twice and he didn't make it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The part I don't get is that Hakon said at the beginning that everyone in Villedor was infected, yet he and/or Lawan go with Aiden. At the beginning it said that settlements are spread out for miles. There was even a side quest where Aiden could tell a peacekeeper and a woman how stupid going outside the city was. Heck even Aiden after taking a bunch of inhibitors only has very limited immunity. Ah well guess their knapsacks are filled with uv mushrooms and immunity boosters 💁♀️
Dude i got so depressed when i saved lawan but the city get destroyed but second play through i saved the city and lawan lives and travels with aiden, i cried with happy tear’s
I wanted the hakon ending so badly. I did everything accept save lawan. also I made the bad decision to side with the butcher. I ended up getting one of the worst endings where the renegades take over, franks dead and I just leave the city. Broke my heart. Cant wait for new game plus to come and side with survivors all the way. I chose peacekeepers to get the crossbow and honestly thought overall they were better through the story. At the end they were tyrants and the survivors were better even though their dicks
I was literally one click away from getting the best ending. I did everything right in the story up until they made me choose between the city and lawan. And you can kinda guess what I chose...
yeah same, i kinda wish the game was more clear on what would happen based on what you chose, because i thought saving lawan would mean the labratory would also be able to find a cure and everything, and i also didnt kow you would be saving mia if you chose to let lawan do the thing, and of course i didnt know hakon would save her
I got the true best ending on accident but my game froze up at the end and I couldn’t see what happened but I heard Lawons voice so I searched it up now I’m here
The ‘hardest to get’ wasn’t even hard for me, I watched I tutorial for the specific ending, however I feel that I would’ve made those choices with or without a tutorial.
At first, I was getting suspicious of the Bazaar so i try to fail them and went for the Peacekeepers. When i got the bad and the worse ending, i cried and went back on saving the Bazaar.
bruhhh, i misunderstood the ending choices. i thought that if i save lawan and send the missiles to the city, mia would still live because she is all the way in x13. and if i let lawan detonate them mia, me, hakon would all die because of how close the missiles are. so i made every single bad choice thinking i was doing the right things.

►UPDATE - To clear some confusion up, as many people are starting to confirm some new facts.

The ending where Aiden leaves with Lawan after saving Mia and preventing the city from being destroyed is the true and best ending for players expecting a happy ending. I was just glad that in that ending, Aiden actually has Lawan beside him to comfort him after his sister passed away.

This game was definitely worth the $60 to me

I wish both Hakon and Lawan would have gone with Aiden, the trio would have make a great DLC material
Totally like for real...
It’s strange that wasn’t an option tbh
the only ending where the three survive is the one where aiden goes to save lawan, hakon saves mia, and the missiles launch, killing half the city. when aiden chooses to save mia, hakon goes to save lawan and sacrifices himself to destroy the missiles so lawan can escape. so the only ending where the trio survives is the one where aiden pisses off lawan
I totally agree

It was so sad having Spike walk through the empty bar…

@@blainekuhnhausen3394 I will wait if this is true
what do you mean by “level the city”?
Feels like they made the Peacekeepers "Military Militia bad" Survivors are power to the people bullshit.
Don’t be talking about my wife Sophie like that
i wish there was a option to stay in the city and play in the destroyed one, i’d love to see no safe zones more infected, saving people under rubble.

He wasn’t able to find an answer, but… nor did he feel that he really needed to; he was merely enjoying the moment. He found what he came for, and perhaps… he left with something greater, something more… precious. Enthralled by his sudden thoughts, Aiden smiles for himself and gives one final nod to the life he once knew, before turning back around and becoming one… with the gloaming horizon.
beautiful
That could make a man shed a tear. Beautifully said brother
I got the true ending on my first playthrough and didnt realise it was the hardest to get
same
same, I don't know why it's the 'hardest ending', If you be the nice/pro-life guy the whole game it's pretty easy to get
Right? Same. It was just... natural, you know? Apart from Jack, and only at the very end, I didn't want to kill anyone. Even Waltz.
Same here bro
Anyone would get it if they try their best to save anyone or doesn't want anyone to die, you also need to read every lines just to make sure the path you're on is good for everyone.. You need to be forgiving to earn that one..
Finally, after never getting over the fact that I got the worst ending in the Witcher 3, I'm so proud of myself for getting the "true ending" in this game. If you haven't finished the Witcher 3, trust me, you don't want the bad ending. It's still stuck in my head 6 years later!
What's the bad ending?
Tell us mate
congo bro
@@theegg.3105 I can't really say anything without spoiling the entire game, but I can say that it's very well written and animated, and very very sad. If you're that interested just type in "Witcher 3 bad ending" into TH-cam and watch.
How'd u managed to get the worst ending in Witcher 3,that's so hard to get😂
The love interest between them really kept the story going for me.
Whats sweet about that hakon ending is that even if the villedor and people in it died because of aiden, hakon still decides to be with him because he knows what it feels like to fail everyone (the time hakon chickened out of frank’s idea for vnc tower)
Dang, the story is much better than 1
Too bad every else sucks about the game tho😂
@@icycold7732 it doesn't
@@icycold7732 it may suck for you but other people are enjoying the game. True the game is not mind-blowing or exceptional but it does do a lot of things really well.
Frank's plan was a suicide mission!
Saying the story is better than the first game is like saying shit with frosting and sprinkles is better than just regular shit.
i loved hakon from the first moment i love him and aiden leaving together
I almost cried when Hakon said that Aiden wasn’t his friend
I killed hakon 🤷🏼♂️
@@friedmetcalf2428 Honestly Hakon's first betrayal moment where he gets shot by Lawan really hurt. I thought he was a good friend and I was sad Aiden was going to cut him off. Then Hakon comes back and says that and it crushed me. I didn't want to continue the game when I thought he died from that first fight. So glad I worked hard to spare him and found out the truth 😅
@@talagothunscathed3425 is that the part where lawan shot him? he can died there?
@@lightryuzaki3974 I don’t believe so, this was way past that, like story done, and taking over a renegade area
Aidyn and Hakon are such bros, it makes sense for their ending to be canon
After 131 hours of playing, I got the true ending my first time where Aiden walks off with Lawan and the survivors control the city. Loved this game.
I saved him everytime I got the change become he was the only one who saved us in the beginning and I remembered that.
bro did peace keepers run your city?
@@palpisson it's mixed for me the peacekeepers and the bazaar guys both run's the city.
Hakon was the best pal in the whole game
I got the true ending with lawan and aiden leaving the city on my first playtrough, 100% best ending in my opinion. Even tough my game was really buggy and there where a lot of audio bugs that really messed up my gameplay but still this story is amazing and it overshines the bugs
What you gotta do to get it though
I saved hakon but lawan still died what did i do wrong
@@bryanthehunter1_890 you need to take mia and run if hakon is with you on you’re side on the final mission hakon will save lawan at the last moment if she will detonate the bombs
Can’t say that’s the true ending just because it’s the best ending.
@@LowIQIsaiah Give Frank the Radio Tower.
Believe Colonel Williams instead of Jack Matt.
Keep Hakon alive.
Save Frank during Breakout.
Let Lawan detonate the explosives.
Kept Hakon alive, he saved Lawan, City was saved and Frank had the tower.
What exacty did I miss that Aiden only walked away alone in my playthrough?
Same here, did the same thing yet Aiden walked away alone
Here are my choices,
I saved Hakon, and didn't let Lawan kill him.
I saved Mia instead because I trusted Lawan to do the job
I got the survivors the radio tower, but most of the territories are PK (I don't think it really matters in the ending).
I like how nobody is talking about colonel's ending. It might actually just be somewhat worst than the peacekeepers one (unless you are a renegate)
Same here
So your simp level was > an entire city of people? Well, get rekt.
I saved Lawan because I promised Frank she would be okay. I didn't realize either. I would saved Mia in a heartbeat if I realized which option was to save her.
@@twd949 it's Rosario dawson bruh. I'd choose her over a city too

I somehow managed to make every single correct decision to get the best ending and then panicked at the end and chose to Save Lawan, this is why you don’t choose the ending when you’re tired and just finished arguing with your significant other, this sucks. 😭😭😭 gotta play the whole thing again now
You could have made a back up save 🤣. Isn't there an auto save which let's you play the last mission again.
I can’t believe I got the best ending first try. So happy! Wish Hakon could’ve tagged along too though.
Jonah did a amazing job as Aidan I really cared for him more than crane day what you want about the story I personally love the hell out of it cannot wait for my next play through
Complete opposite for me
Got his ass handed to him way too much in cutscenes though

Just finished the game:
-Got Lawan killed
-Mia died
-Peacekeepers took everything
This is probably the first time I got the worst ending... And I'm so happy because Lawan, Hakon, every single "Good person" had it coming 😂
I wish I got the hakon ending. That was the one I wanted . The lawan ending didn’t make sense considering she was so excited to be a night runner. Hakon wanted to go
Ending where you leave with hakon is the one for me, you start your journey with him and begin a new one
And this kid is how Lugosi from Beastars saved/completely fucking destroyed the city
This video was awesome. Are you planing on doing a guide on how to get each ending or a guide on how to get the best ending ?

Yea I was hearing so much hate tossed at it that I almost didn't get the game. Glad I ignored ppl and bought it though.
It was mediocre.
I LOVE the fact that some enemies are harder than most bossess
I mean i killed every boss in like a minute
Because molotovs make them panic and you can murder them easily
The attention to detail is bad compared to the first game and most story choices have no effect whatsoever.

Idk i prefer much more the ending with Hakon
I went with the peacekeepers because without securing the city from the infected and by doing that securing the resources of the city there would be a technological stagnation, and of course you can say that there was the pair of "inventors" with the survivors but scavinging things will get you only so far.
Without the resources and secure places to be able to build new things in future
humanity will never rise again, plus i have choosen the peacekeepers because I think they will expand outside the city securing more territories and one more reason I have choosen the peacekeepers is that they have a judicial system and they are not a one man cult and have a hierarchy.
I sided with peacekeepers because crossbow lmao

@@frigg883 Yes but its not anarchist or tyrannical.
