I know this is wrong but I makes me feel better to see items you didn’t get done. I started this system at the beginning of this year after seeing your setup but I have yet to get everything done and it depresses me each time until I see that you do too and that it’s ok

So glad it's helpful! Forward momentum is more important than perfection!! ♥️♥️♥️

I think one of the things to learn is that we ambitiously plan to get done way more things than we actually can get done in a given time period. The trick is to scale back to what you plausibly, logically can get done. Other goals can either be discarded (if you find you are not willing to commit serious time to them) or postponed to another quarter. In both cases, it relieves you of anxiety now.

The commitment and energy you give to all your projects - personal and family health, writing, productivity planning and expanding your community - is truly inspirational. And you sound so personable and approachable while doing it as well. Hope you have a wonderful quarter Sarra!

I feel like the scoring idea would motivate me to do better. I can tell myself all day that I will feel better if I do certain things but it doesn't get me any closer to doing it. Making it feel more like a game might actually work for me. You always have great ideas.

My husband and I do marriage prep classes sometimes I won't go into everything, but there's one quiz the couples have to take that shows strengths and "growth areas," so instead of failure or weaknesses, you can say you have growth opportunities.
For your reward system, maybe set up rewards for both 9 and 10. Mini rewards for having 2 weeks of 9 average or something. I know for me I need rewards even at a good level.
I'm doing a smaller version of Kanban. My husband and I are moving in the new year (most likely at the end of June) and we were getting frustrated with "We know we want to move, we know where we want to move, but how do we actually move?" So we sat down and set up next steps like "how much do we need to move? Moving truck, deposits, down payments, etc" It's not full-on it's just one goal and it's going on past the quarter.

I purchased the HB90 planner, and I'm working through trying to set my goals and trying to get them as clear as possible with tasks necessary to move toward the desired outcomes. I love this!

Thank you for the Energy Score template! I'm so excited to set it up and start tracking. I may even be brave enough to tackle my own kanban board.

I am trying to be kinder to myself as well when it comes to reaching goals. I have the tendency to get discouraged whenever I don't meet them. But thankfully, I learned to give myself a break and be thankful for what I accomplished 😊

I absolutely love the idea of an energy score instead of a habit tracker. The difference for me is that the habit tracker makes you feel bad if you miss a day. But your score system puts the emphasis on what you have achieved. So motivating! Definitely will try it out. Thank you.

I love everything about this. My husband and I are gamers too and I've been struggling to juggle work, writing, and parenting. I've barely spent time gaming with my husband. I love the idea of giving myself kudos for spending that quality gaming time with my husband. Can't wait to see the newsletter on the December HB90.

I tried doing a Kanban board last quarter and discovered I'm terrible at recognizing, prioritizing, and organizing my action steps toward my goals. Sticking with monthly/weekly/daily planning style until I have another chance to test this style out.

Hi Sarra! My current goals include setting up a series Bible. I listened to your youtubes on writing a series. You mentioned using Wiki there and again in this video. Would you consider doing a youtube on that? Thank you for the excellent content!

This is lovely! Could you go more into detail about how you sort your tasks? Maybe how you decide what gets on each post it note? I've watched older videos but what a "task" is is still kind of nebulous. Is it perhaps what you can complete in an hour?

Another great video Sarra! This gives me the motivation to complete my Q4 set-up. I was doing okay, but I have so much going on, and I just have not had the motivation at the start of this quarter. I am not sure why. This video gives me hope and encouragement! Thank you for the fantastic content!

I really enjoyed this review and reset video. I've downloaded the energy score spreadsheet. I have 10 things listed, but up to 24 points - incorporating your good, better and best scores (e.g. steps 2K/5K/10K so 1 point for 2K and 3 points for 10K etc.)
    I'll be downloading the 2021 HB90 when it's available. ❤

I love these planning videos. I have done plans for the last 2-3 quarters. And then I ignore them! So I look at goals & I have no idea what I did. Sheesh! I think I need HB90 to get myself whipped into shape. Also, I reasoned that I don't need goals this quarter b/c of Preptober & NaNo. Then I'll crash. 😏

Google Sheets has a thing... you can look it up on the Google Sheets help tab, enter "protect a range". And you can "lock" certain cells from being changed "accidently". It would be ideal for your energy score spreadsheets, to protect the formulas.
A hint for people new to spreadsheets.... if you happen to write over a formula and can't figure out how to get it back. just close the spreadsheet WITHOUT saving and you get a total redo! 💜🌞🌵😷

One thing that you might not have considered about your Heart Breathing subscribers... could the numbers grow seasonally? Third quarter may not be the time people are looking at starting a planning system. I can see first quarter for sure... As people are thinking of new year's resolutions and 4th quarter for the same reason... People are starting to order notebooks for the new year and thinking change and improvement. But I can see second and third quarter as "resolution fever" winding down? 💜🌞🌵😷
