So sorry for the shaky video but thank you so much for being kind and understanding! I promise I'll do my best to fix this for phone videos in the future. Have you set any goals for Q3? I'd love to hear about it and how Q2 went for you!
🤩😭 WHOA, this was so inspiring I had to watch it twice. I'm so freaking proud of you, Sarra, and so inspired at the same time. I want sticky notes now, just so at the end of the week/month/quarter/year I can say: "THIS is a decision I made every time to live my best life." THANK YOU, YOU ROCK!! (I started a digital Kanban board on Google sheets, and had my best 2 weeks so far - big hugs of thanks to you!)
If anyone sees what you do as you bragging, they clearly don't know you (as well as any of us can online). I have learned a TON from you, you have inspired me to get back to writing after a ten year break. Writing has been my life passion since I was young, but I did step away from it, much as I didn't want to. But, finding your channel last year (through one of your planner videos) was fate (in my opinion) and if there is one thing I feel confident in saying is that you genuinely seek to help uplift others, in their personal and professional life. You're one of the good ones, Sarra, don't let the negative Nancy's cloud your opinion of yourself. We can all aspire to be such an amazing role model!
I started using the Kan Ban board in Q2 and it has been amazing in helping me achieve my goals. Thank you for sharing your process and for doing it with a giving heart.
You are always inspiring me! I hit a big goal in June that I have struggled with for the past 6 months. Your goal of creating momentum made me realize that I can use the momentum created by hitting my goal to move the needle forward. Thank you for sharing your process and progress, and the permission to forgive myself for not being perfect as I try to improve.
I loved this video and the shaking didn't bother me much, if at all. I just want to say that even though I have only been following both of your channels since maybe the end of March or beginning of April, I think you did an amazing job in Q2! It sounds to me like you are way too hard on yourself! You really should be excited about what you accomplished in Q2! Being a full-time Wife, Mom to a baby and an 8 year-old that you are home-schooling, and you published a book AND read it live every day until it was written, then you edited it and published it, created and posted 81 or so videos! Ran two businesses AND hit your goals PLUS in most of the categories. You are Superwoman! And you are an AMAZING inspiration and role model!!! Oh, I can't forget that you held an intensive Seven Day online HB90 Bootcamp course for how many, 108 students?! Not to mention you needed to record new videos for the course because you more than doubled the content, from 3 days to 7! Let me tell you, you should not be so humble! You are an incredibly gifted person! I shall move on to what you have done for me! Because of your hard work and dedication, and enthusiasm for writing and sharing your entire life with all of us, I was one of those 108 students in HB90 Bootcamp! Because of your amazing energy and enthusiasm, I finished the course! I have been struggling to plan for close to three years now, and nothing has worked. Because of you, I have for the very first time, planned out not only an entire quarter - three months!, I have set two very meaningful business goals and one personal goal! I have for the first time been able to break those goals down into projects and tasks, and the tasks are small, so I am actually excited to do them, even the hard ones! Also thanks to you, I have started writing! I started two novels maybe 35+ years ago and put them on a shelf and never picked them back up. For the very first time, I went on the NaNoWriMo.org website and registered. I didn't even have a clue what that was until I watched your video in Q2 about how you won NaNoWriMo! I didn't even have NaNoWriMo on my list of goals until all of the excitement that I felt from you and so many of the other writers in your facebook groups! I had a goal for Q3 just to do some research on genres and read some books and I picked up a bunch of craft books on my Kindle. But your enthusiasm and the energy in your facebook groups had me on the NaNoWriMo website at the 11th hour on June 30th signing up. I don't even know why I picked the goal that I did. Maybe I was tired. I set a goal of 10,000 words for the camp this month! I figured I might write 20 days and maybe a couple hundred words each of those days. I didn't even bother to do the math. Well, I wrote for the first time last night on 7/01 and I got into a groove and didn't want to stop! I ended up writing 2269 words last night! I was really depressed at the beginning of COVID-19 because I was furloughed from my job of 9.5 years. I was unemployed 9 weeks and got called back in the second week of June, so now I am back to working 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. I am not even close to being depressed now. I see so much excitement in my future! Because of you, I was able to make a Vision Board for the first time, and this is something I have wanted to do for several years now! I am so excited to see where this quarter and the rest of the year go! I am so happy! Because of you, I have hope! I have excitement back in my life! I am accomplishing things that were just wishes! So THANK YOU Sarra! I am sorry this is so long, but I want you to know that you make a difference! And a big difference too! And you are a great inspiration! Thanks for sharing yourself and your family with all of us, and thanks for such excellent content!!! Liz :)
Such a great video Sarra! Do you think you will ever do a video on how you create and organize for your newsletter? I'm just curious at how you go about doing it and what program you use and how you decide what goes in it and so on. Thank you for all your videos and take care ❤❤
Today's video really explains why there are so many sticky notes. And how my goals need to be broader. I'm the past my goals were more projects, but Q3 my goals will be more visions and I think I won't lose so much momentum after a month. The light has finally come on in my head about goal planning on the kanban board👍. ❤🌅🌵
Thank you for all the words at by the end of the video. You know, when you listen to something that speaks to your heart and soul more than you expect from someone that doesn't know you?! It was exactly that. I think that have so many negative ppl in my life that I'm kinda used to put down and think less of myself or undeserving. And now I think that must tell you how much better it made me feel. Some ppl chooses to share the ugly and you choose to share the good things. Again thank you so much.
Love the point system! You just triggered my ideas on how to quantify how well I am doing at my goals without attaching dollars to it. Love your channel and I’m not a writer. 😀 Thanks!
Congratulations Sarra!!!! 26 books! What an accomplishment. So happy for you! About your Kanban board, I absolutely love it! I'm a Scrum Master by trade and so productivity methods always give my heart joy. Way to accomplish all of those tasks!!!!
Heart Breathings : th-cam.com/video/2Vt7Ik8Ublw/w-d-xo.html I share this video with my teams that are new to scrum but as you’ll find, you’re already doing it!!
I totally needed this video today! I set a Q1 Kanban, but Q2 got overlooked/overshadowed by pandemic stress. Your positivity is so contagious--I'm starting planning for Q3 tonight and am determined to establish some great new habits so I can find my missing productivity once again!
You are so inspiring! I've felt like a failure at HB90 because I worked during Q1 and the first month of Q2. I might be going back to work next month :-( I recently lost my dad, but concentrating on my goals is helping. I love some of the new ways you're doing things. I'm going to try the monthly Kan Kan board tasks and redo my wellness goals and editing goals left over from Q2. I feel more energetic now that I've watched your video. Thank you for inspiring me to pursue my dream life.
Love your strategy to accomplish more. I am so glad to hear you say things like you aren't going to be upset you didn't accomplish some. You are always moving forward. If only one of the notes moves you still progress. Way to go! Thanks for the inspiration.
I use a dry erase board for my Kanban but might be switching to sticky notes soon since they seem less messy. If you're still looking for a stabilizer for your phone, you should check out dji osmo. I used it in the studio I ran and have filmed a few documentaries on it. It's a good bang for your buck 😊
My version of the Kanban Board is a monthly one, because the board is small (cuz i don't have enough space for a big one) and i use a white board (no more sticky notes that won't stick!). I don't have that satisfaction feeling you get when you move post its but it works pretty well (for now..)
You could have a notebook, where once an item is completed you wipe it off the board and write it as completed in your notebook / planner Like a reverse to do list each day. Instead of writing what you will do, you write what you have done with checks next to them. Makes you feel good because everything on your list looks completed each day :) That's what I do because of the stickies not sticking and it feels a bit greener
I found your channel recently by looking for what is in my pencil case videos, and I immediately subscribed, without even seeing your other videos. I am not a writer, or fan (yet) of your books, but your channel over the last few weeks has motivated me to read and journal more. It also got me excited for back to school shopping for stationery.. but oops.. Anyways, I wanted to say congrats on your goals, that's outstanding! Edit: typo
I’m really intrigued with the Kanban board!!! You are such an inspiration. I swear I say this every video but you are helping me to make my 50th year MY year! Thank you
I so love your soul and heart and even more so your servants heart to use your given talents and gifts to teach and lift others. This is what drew me to you in the first place. I’ve learned so much from your HB90 course held last month. I’m excited everyday to write in my planner, work on each task with each project that moves me closer to reaching my goals and my ideal life. You truly are a beautiful blessing. 💕💕💕 You did such a wonderful job working and reaching your goals for Q2! I’m excited to see where you’ll (and I’ll) be at the end of Q3!! Forever grateful 💕💕
You're a huge inspiration to me, both as an author and as a planner! I got out my Q3 planner and did some work on my own goals while watching this. Thank you so much for everything you do, and I can't wait for the "Publish and Thrive" course registration - I'll be the first one! Have a great weekend!
I understand you only plan quarterly, but now that you are adding stickers to your kanban board monthly. I would love to see your thoughts as you add stickers or remove projects that just won't work in the next month. In other words, a monthly update. ❤🌅🌵
I adore your videos, Im not a writer, but there is something so soothing and calming about watching you and your goals. I also got Instagram so Im in one of your new people on there!!! Keep going, I look forward to chilling out to your videos, you are so down to earth and I may be in the UK, but I so look forward to your channel.
5 pounds lost is a huge accomplishment! It's better than gaining another 20! Celebrate the 5 more! Do a happy dance! These physical actions reinforce the subconscious to continue doing what ever positive things that you were doing. I'm familiar with bright line eating, so even if you weren't fully on your bright line, if you were able to eliminate one food for some of the days... That's a win! Stop thinking that not being 100% on is a total failure! Maybe in Q3, give your self a bright line score from 1-10 every day. 1 could be I drank water or I didn't eat 1 food on the elimination list. But celebrate each day that the score wasn't zero. I know your habit is either 0% or 100%. This exercise may help you with this too! ❤🌅🌵 p.s. In sign language, to do the sign for applause... You raise your hands to about ear level or above... And shake them as happy hands... It's something I do to celebrate the small victories that really makes my brain realize that there's a celebration going on. Just like in EMDR, that physical action gives a mental response. A happy dance, or happy hands turns something on in my brain that really lets it feel the joy of accomplishment instead of just a realization.
You are such an inspiration. I've been struggling with my writing, daily routines, staying on track, and not giving up on my dreams. I have published 13 books and will release 2 more by the end of 2020. My sales aren't great, which is okay. I write because that's what I love to do. It's not about the money for me. Since going back to my day office (I work at a college), I haven't been able to focus on anything else. My mind wanders and worries about exposure to the virus. By the time I get home, I'm exhausted. After watching your videos, I feel energized. Excited about writing and creating goals (no matter how small) and staying committed to those goals. May 2020 was the 10th anniversary of my first published book. I have come to realize, that's a huge accomplishment. Thank you, Sarra, for sharing your life, your advice, and your encouragement.
Would love to see more of a walkthrough of each step. I’m having a disconnect between setting the goal and getting stickies up on a wall. Then actually getting the stickies done. I can plan all day long but execution is a whole other thing
I have been waiting for this video and you did not disappoint. It was motivational and inspirational. I plan to create board with summer free time. I have goals in a notebook but I think the visual and project based approach will be more productive.
Can I ask - with the time sensitive post its (eg. Your morning routine for week 2 etc) where do you put them if you don’t achieve them? If it wasn’t time sensitive, they could stay where they are until accomplished. But what happens to the ones where once the week/item/whatever has past you can’t catch up? Do you leave them in the to do? Do you take them off the board? Argh I just don’t know. Please could you tell us?
Thank you for this! I appreciate seeing your journey with this planning method and how you're making adjustments to make it fit different life "seasons." I've actually been kicking around ideas for how to make mental health activities like morning routines work as part of my kanban board. I know it's personal, and it's totally understandable if you don't want to go into more detail than you have here, but if you're comfortable with it, I'd love to know a little more detail about how you track things like that. It doesn't look like you've got 31 days worth of single-day, "Morning Routine" stickies. Do you do it by week? I'm trying to wrap my head around how I can do this.
Your sharing always gives me hope that someday... I will be able to get soooo much more done. Recovering from an autoimmune disease is a slow process, but knowing what is achievable gives me so much hope that recovery is possible one sticky note at a time. Thank you. ❤🌅🌵
I'm not ready for kanban boarding yet, but I'm getting there. I am still trying to make achievable weekly goals. It's getting there. My husband and I have pretty much decided we want to live outside of NY. He even was interviewing for some jobs for this coming up school year out of state, but we decided we weren't prepared to move- the cost of moving itself kind of put us off it for this year. We are making plans, budgeting out the cost of moving, and getting a used car. Can't wait for your next video.
Love this vids! ♥ I don't know which program you use to edit your videos, but Adobe Premiere has an option for video stabilization in post-production that works really well! But tbh the ~shakiness~ is so subtle, it's hard to notice.
Congrats on getting those goals! I'm excited to get my copy of The Witch's Key, I really love the art on it. :) I've been using an app to "game-ify" my wellness called ""Habits" it's very basic, essentially a to-do checklist app you can set up to give you reminders to do things at certain times on certain days, the tracking aspect of it is helpful and I'm interested to see how my "scores" are at the end of the year. I'm hoping to learn vision boarding better as they haven't clicked for me yet, I believe they will as I'm a very visual person, do you have suggestions on resources for practicing and learning?
Love this, I just started my digital Kahban board this quarter (which I just posted a video about on my channel) and love it x This quarter I hope to first draft the first 3 episodes of my Novel Serial (it’s an Aladdin retelling) ... Great Videos Sarra and love your lives btw ❤️
I do a kanban board via a google workbook my husband made for me. It's a lot faster than using sticky notes which is something I tried but it didn't work out for me long term.
I love to hear about other methods! I more several people who enjoy using trello! Got me, digital is out of sight, out of mind so it doesn't work for me, but everyone had their own ways that work!
@@HeartBreathings Yes, I was afraid that would be how to was for me (can't see can't remember) but he put it on its own tab in workbook that also tracks my habits, tracks my swaps/promos, track income/expenses, tracks goals, ect. So I find that I'm using it several that Hati message a day every day because it's all on one place. It's almost always open on my desktop computer.
Hi Jess! No I try to keep my Sarra Cannon reader fan stuff separate a little from the productivity stuff, although it does mix together more and more these days. If you want to watch them on Facebook, you can go to my HB page at Facebook.com/heartbreathings and watch the stories.
I just started my first kanban board ever! I was just so inspired by your videos that I decided to try it on a real board (I used to use a spreasheet to do it 😉 ) but my sticky notes won’t stick!! They keep falling down to the floor and it makes me sooo sad 😭
So sorry for the shaky video but thank you so much for being kind and understanding! I promise I'll do my best to fix this for phone videos in the future. Have you set any goals for Q3? I'd love to hear about it and how Q2 went for you!

Ordered post-it notes to start my first ever kanban board. Wish me luck!
Yay! I hope you love the process!

Looking forward to "writing a series" video(s)... :)
Such an amazing and inspiring video! Thank you, Sarra!
I aspire to be as successful, productive, and genuine as you! :) x You are truly amazing! x
Great video! Thank you so much for always being such an inspiration. 💖
Amy Beatty yes absolutely I would love to know this too!
Wow. I made a goal board similar using post it notes. I didn't know there was a name for it.
I love your energy and how positive you are
Love this vids! ♥
I don't know which program you use to edit your videos, but Adobe Premiere has an option for video stabilization in post-production that works really well! But tbh the ~shakiness~ is so subtle, it's hard to notice.
Aaahh, you made it today. Congrsts!
yay!!
Thanks for always being such an inspiration!
Congrats on a great quarter!
Love this! Hoping to make something similar. Do you remember the size of your board?
i love the score idea!! *borrowing* :D
Inspired. Thank you so much, Sarra :)
I have a note 10 plus too!!
Thank you for the words of encouragement 😊
Love this, I just started my digital Kahban board this quarter (which I just posted a video about on my channel) and love it x This quarter I hope to first draft the first 3 episodes of my Novel Serial (it’s an Aladdin retelling) ... Great Videos Sarra and love your lives btw ❤️
Thank you!
Thank you for this!
So inspiring 🙏❤️
yeh
Do you share the coffee chats on your Facebook page I'm in the coven but not sure if I'm on your page
Hi Jess! No I try to keep my Sarra Cannon reader fan stuff separate a little from the productivity stuff, although it does mix together more and more these days. If you want to watch them on Facebook, you can go to my HB page at Facebook.com/heartbreathings and watch the stories.
Would you be interested in making a morning/evening routine videos at some point ? ☺️
I just started my first kanban board ever! I was just so inspired by your videos that I decided to try it on a real board (I used to use a spreasheet to do it 😉 ) but my sticky notes won’t stick!! They keep falling down to the floor and it makes me sooo sad 😭
Same here on my whiteboard! I ended up ordering small magnets, but I might just use the magnets to place paper on it, and then the post itz will stick
I love your nails!
❤️❤️❤️
I wish more planning videos were like instead of *only* stickering
You are magnificent! Just magnificent! Thanks for sharing!!
💖
you are very beautiful
