Yona of the Dawn is The Most Underrated Anime/Manga of All Time. Every single character are so endearing and the story is just chef's kiss. Also of you're into shoujo you should read "I'll win you over Senpai" Is a recent release and it's really really good.

Omg I am so happy to actually find someone who reads Shoujo mangas. Yona of the dawn is literally the best thing I have ever read. Also things in the later part of the series do get a little serious which was really unexpected. Like they took sharp turn at one point. Also I love the fact that there is no real villain there. Like yeah Yona’s cousin can be perceived as a villain but when you see why he’s doing those things, you kinda start to question everything.

Been reading fan translations of YOTD for three years and my heart is on the moon to hear you talk about it with so much excitement. Thank you for helping put a spotlight on Yona’s story, I WANT A SEASON TWO.
You absolutely had me when you said Sinha is your favorite character cause he’s mine too!! Yona is such a good series, I’ve only read up to volume 18 and already the character writing/development, world building and plot overall is just PHENOMENAL. And I hear it only gets better. Hearing you gush about it reminds me a lot of myself when I talk about it with people too😭

Just the other day when you recommended fruits basket i was like "she would really enjoy yona of the dawn." It's actually my favourite shojo manga of all time glad you finally read it💙💜
Girl, I have read all of these mangas and I LOVED them. I am a huge manhwa and manga reader and I have been reading them for a few years. One thing I just love about them is how creative the plot is and how innovatively they are written.
Hannah, watch Violet Evergarden. It's a complete roller coaster of tears. I bet, you can't stop sobbing;) Never felt emotionally attached to any anime to this extreme level🤧💜
I love the fact that you’re recommending good mangas because there are so many and the people that are skeptical about picking one up can finally see THE GREATS coming from an amazing booktuber!
I've been collecting manga since I was in 3rd or 4th grade, so for about 20 years now. It's really cool to see a "mainstream" (?) booktuber get into manga and recommend reading it. If romance manga is your thing, I would recommend anything by Io Sakisaka, many of her series such as Ao Haru Ride, Strobe Edge, Love Me Love Me Not are readily available in English and her artwork is very cute. Suu Morishita's artwork is great too and they also do romance series. If you're interested in sapphic romance as well there are plenty of series out right now. I've been reading Even Though We're Adults which is a sapphic romantic drama about a married woman having an affair with another woman and how both try to move on but seemingly can't.
If you love Yona and Snow white with red hair, i highly recommend The Ancient Magus' Bride. It has a strong-willed red haired female MC. Beautiful story. Lovely art. The anime was amazing too. Definitely worth to give it a shot. You're gonna love it i swear 😍
An anime/ manga that literally changed my life & gave me so much motivation, is Blue Period. It's about art & friendship and the characters are just so loveable. I can't recommend it enough!
I recommend witch hat atelier or tongari boushi no atelier. I've read manga with amazing art but this looks like a graphic novel. I can't express how amazing the art is. And the story talks about the protagonist is a little girl named Coco a girl that lives in a fantasy world with witches. But she herself isn't a witch. She loves magic though, and after she found out her childhood story book is a key way for her to use magic she does it. It results to a tragic accident that has to do with her home and her mother and she is forced to the witch world without her even wanting it. Really amazing stuff. Only 8 volumes so far, not well known too. But I can't stop talking about the art. It baffles me how beautiful it is
I WILL ALSO NEVER STOP SCREAMING ABOUT YONA AHHHH!! SO excited to see how you react to the post-show content--it just keeps getting better! I've been reading manga for years and years and it's so exciting to see some manga on booktube. I'm brimming with recs but I'll definitely second the folks who said Witch Hat Atelier, and I'll toss in A Bride's Story by Kaoru Mori. It's a historical slice-of-life romance set on the Silk Road in the 1800s, with the most stunning art you've ever seen. Definitely lookup some reviews of volume 1 though, it's got an age-gap relationship that I think the author handles tactfully but I recognize it's not what everyone wants to read about. Magus of the Library is also a bit of a hidden gem following a young magical library apprentice, I'm a library science student so it's near and dear to my heart lol. Beastars is also great if you want to dive into more action-y stuff with a side of romance. I'll stop now before this becomes more of an essay than it already is. Enjoy your manga!!!!
i am so glad yona of the dawn is your favorite series CAUSE ITS ALSO MINE. I have watched the anime but have yet to finish the manga series. I LOVE HAK SM
YESSS!!! YONA OF THE DAWN!!!! 😩 I started reading the manga in spring of 2018, and it literally took me an entire year to catch-up on all the volumes, but damn- it quickly became my favorite manga series EVER!!!! It is CRIMINALLY underrated, and it physically pains me to not see people reading/talking about it. The arcs are so interesting, the characters so deep, the storyline soo engaging and the art is simply beautiful. And yess, Shin-Ah is my favorite character too (he's such a cutie, UGH!!). 🥺❤ Also, Snow White with the Red Hair is another one of my favs...it's splendid and just soo good!!! ❤
POV: You find out that your favorite booktuber, who you've been following for years, is obsessed with your favorite manga of all time. I still can't believe it has not gotten a season 2 and I can't wait to follow your journey cause the story gets EVEN BETTER. (Hakyona is literally one of my favorite ships of all time).
Yona of the Dawn and Fruits Basket are literally two of my all time favorites! I would also highly recommend Kamisama Kiss (reminds me a lot of Fruba) and Spy Family (only 6 volumes so far and so incredibly wholesome)
Yona of the Dawn having only one season, and stopping right when it gets really interesting drives every fan and the manga creator crazy!!! Can't Wait to see all of your thoughts once you read all of it. I am so excited, I literally read like every volume that was out in one day, and then watch the anime, and then read the manga again. And I've been trying to stay up to date on it. It ties with Fullmetal alchemist as my favorite manga of all time. And right beneath it is Snow White With the Red Hair. I do love fruits basket but I love how sweet Snow White With the Red Hair and Yona are.
Fruits Basket is one of the best ever, it's so near and dear to my heart. Adding Yona to my TBR! I've been looking for something to scratch the historical fantasy itch after Red River. Glad that you're enjoying manga!
Just in case someone didn’t mention it before in the comments, Viz Media who publishes Yona of the Dawn will be reprinting I believe the first 15 volumes in June starting with volume 1 and so on. I’m not sure on the schedule for the reprinting if it will be every month or every other month but I’m happy they are reprinting because so many people are just starting to get into Yona of the Dawn and can’t find the earlier volumes like yourself. 😊
yellow dragons story made me sob SO MUCH and I highly recommend haikyu and I would literally scream if you read it because I KNOW you will love it as much as everyone else does
Since You loved YOTD ,I’d recommend : Waiting for spring Ao haru ride (the love triangle is really frustrating in this one and there’s miscommunication but overall it’s nice, i’ve read it thrice cuz i have some weird sentimental attachment to this one lol) ORANGE ( deals a lil bit with suicide but it’s a good romance and friendship manga) Living room matsunaga san And Yet, you are so sweet These shoujo mangas are no where near YOTD for me but I still love em. And if u want mangas without any or less romance then I’d recommend: Promised neverland (fantasy - horror/thriller , found family (i luv every character in this. They’re all too precious🤧🤧)) SPY FAMILY (prolly the most hilarious manga i’ve read. It’s my second fav manga after YOTD) Death Note (this one is def worth reading but it does go downhill after the 3/4 of the series but it’s a psychological, supernatural, mystery)
I highly recommend reading Spy x Family! It's so cute, so wholesome, and so funny! I love it!! I've been following it since chapter 1 and it's great. I would recommend more, but I'm not sure our taste in manga completely align, this is one that I think you'd like, but my other favorites tend to be more along the lines of like youjo senki. Oh! But Kanata Kara or Red River could be good choices! Those are two classics that I really enjoy, especially Kanata Kara is definitely one of my favorites.
Spy x Family is definitely my favorite ongoing series. It does a really good job at balancing the comedy and allowing its characters to change and grow and I LOVE that about it. Kanata Kara is excellent!! The main relationship in it is so soft, and gentle and loving and JBAHIVISBSKBUA so cute!
girl i was watching your book videos years ago, and now you randomly pop up in my feed when im obsessed with manga like omgg, i hope you get more volumes, manga is so fun to read
I remember commenting that you should read Yona of the Dawn when you asked for manga recs. Absolutely thrilled that you ended up getting into it! I’ve been obsessed with the series for a while and I’m still hoping for the day they decide to either remake the series completely or just give us that season 2. Enjoy reading the rest of the story 🥰🙌
OMG! Someone is finally talking about Yona of the Dawn!!! I loved that series so much and binge watched the whole season in one day. Plus the manga just kept getting better.... omg omg! 🥰😭😭😭😭😭
I’ve also recently gotten into manga! I’m on vol. 5 of The Promised Neverland right now & am obsessed, I adored the show (besides the rushed ending) and heard so many people say the manga was better and goes into more detail so I just had to have it.
I really appreciate all the Yona love in the comments and the video. Like it’s my favorite manga and she’s my absolute favorite character. I first got into the series right when it began to publish in English and have all of the first English editions because I bought them as they were coming out. It’s been years. At the beginning they were always released the first Tuesday of every even (other) month. Now it’s much more irregular because they’ve finally caught up for the most part. And ugghghhh I love it so much. (I think my profile proves that lmao).
Not sure if this was recommended yet, but Blue Flag is so amazing and heartwarming. There are 8 volumes and I spent much of my time either laughing or crying while reading it. Every character is so lovable, I can’t recommend it enough. 😭
Aah, Yona of the dawn! A favorite manga of mine. If you want manga recommendations, and I recommend it to everyone who’s into romance/ slice of life / fantasy… I’d say Inuyasha. Please give it a try if you haven’t yet, it’s my favorite anime/ manga with Fruits Basket too, and I definitely think people should watch Inuyasha more since it’s a classic 💙
As an avid manga reader ever since I was young, you have no idea how long I've waited for this video 😭💖 Now I get to see you and and more people fall in love with the world of manga 😭 I literally could not ask for more 😭 And you falling in love with YONA OF THE DAWN out of all mangas out there (literally one of my favorites out there) just warms my heart 💖💖 Also, I would totally sign your petition for Yona of the Dawn Season 2 because that show not having a second season is such a crime fr
I’m an Obi stan first and a human second. Love to see other people talk about Snow White with the Red Hair. Thanks for all the recs, too. You never miss.
First of all, I love your videos, especially when you brought up Anime/Manga! FMAB, Fruits Basket and Yona of The Dawn are my favorites too, I would love to see you post another vid like this! Also I highly recommend you to read Chihayafuru! It's a sports series about Karuta, a Japanese playing cards. The storytelling and the characters are well written and beautiful, and there's slow burn romance too as a subplot.
2021 was truly the year of manga for me, so i'm really excited to see you in your manga era. I got so pumped when i saw you were reading Yona of the Dawn. I ADORE the blue dragon with my entire heart and soul
I relate to you so much. I'm also very obsessed with Fruits Basket. It's still my favorite anime to this day. I also love to rewatch things over and over again, and sometimes it's difficult for me to watch other things.
I'm trying to get more into manga. I needed this. I also love Howls Moving Castle and Fruits Basket. I actually just watched Howls Moving Castle with my BF last night. He has never heard of it or the Studios Ghibili movies. He like it.
I’m primarily an anime watcher, and not so much a manga reader, but there are two animes I’ve been obsessed with: Demon Slayer and 86. Season 2 of Demon Slayer just wrapped up, and I’m too impatient to wait until 2023 for more of the anime, so I finally started the manga. And then 86 was a very pleasant surprise. I devoured the anime within 2 days. I need to read the light novel now.
Hey Hannah. I work at a comic book store, and just wanted to shed some light on the issues of huge swats of volumes out of stock. We've had so many problems with manga lately, because publishers reprint in waves and all waves have severely slowed down due to the pandemic. Basically what happens is this: for example they reprint vol 2 of Yona this month and that runs out, then next month they reprint 3 and that runs out, then the month after that maybe 4 and 5. So if you wanted to get 5 right now you can't cause it's in the process of reprinting, so you buy 2 which just finished reprinting and is in stock. But maybe you wait another month and they finished reprinting 2 but not 3. Or 2 ran out of stock so you have to wait months till they decide to reprint it again. And so on. They say it's like rolling blackouts but for books. We are hoping it'll normalize eventually but for now my only advice is if you see a volume you want that you don't have, don't hesitate to buy it. Cause you don't know when it'll reprint again.
omg I used to follow yona of the dawn and snow white with the red hair as the chapters were coming out years ago and loved them so much! I should really start getting into them again
Oh god I have a great manga reccomendation... Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama. I fell in love with this series since volume one, literally SOOOO enchanting, the artstyle is stunning, the characters are so lovable. I have no idea how to introduce it, just read it, I swear it's worth it. While being enticing and simply lovable it has it's darker moments and can get serious when it has to. And yeah we have GILFs
The artstyle is so gorgeous! And it has one of my favorite tropes: an ethreally chaotic mentor doing his best to raise four sweet and precocious young apprentices. It's so good!
another CRIMINALLY underrated manga is “High School Debut!” it’s about a freshman named Haruna Nagashima, and her goal is to get a boyfriend; however, she’s not very girly or conventionally attractive. She runs into the cool, attractive upperclassman named Yoh, and she asks him to be her dating coach, and A LOT of romance ensues😏. It is one of my all time favorite manga because every single time i read it, i’m instantly so happy. i’m in love with it and people please check this out if you like romance/slice of life!!🥰💕
I love your videos sm!!! I was not expecting this video but I’m so happy! I got the first two collections edition volumes of fruits basket because of you😭💓💓💓💌
Yona of the Dawn, I started collecting them years ago so I've got all them. It's one of my favorites. I would also recommend Assassination Classroom (there's a box set and the anime is pretty spot on to the manga)
I've heard of YOTD but I was never interested until now, you've sold me on it. I think based on what you liked in the manga you talked about you might be into The Girl From the Other Side which is a fantasy fairytale type story about a girl who was outcasted by human society and the creature who becomes a pseudo father figure to her and protects her; and also Bloom Into You which is my fav romance manga/anime of all time. Ok now I'm gonna go read Yona of the Dawn
Ouran High School Host Club is my absolute favorite. And since the show unfortunately only ever got one season, there’s so much post-show content after the anime (plus the last couple episodes of the anime are WAY different to give it an ending of some sort). It’s funny and cute (and a little problematic) but I’m obsessed with the show and the manga!
I read /watched them in high school years ago and absolutely loved ouran!!! I was obsessed so it has a special place in my heart ❤️ despite the problems
I started watching your booktok videos on youtube and when I found out that you also read manga and watch anime I was literally screaming. I'm in love with yona of the dawn and it makes me so mad that no one talks about it.
I also absolutely loved watching Yona of the Dawn and Snow White with the red hair, so underrated but so so good!! I just got into reading manga this year so I hope to read these and continue the story!
horimiya and fruits basket are literally my favourite animes! definitely gonna read/watch all the other ones you mentioned here, especially yona and the dawn. that one seems really up my alley.
fruits basket, yona of the dawn, Snow White with the red hair (I only read the first 2 mangas but not the anime) avatar etc. your taste in anime & cartoons is so good
I recommend watching and reading A Silent Voice (it’s a movie and a 7 volume manga series) definitely my fav movie! I also recommend watching Toilet Bound Hanako-kun I’ve only watched a few episodes but I love it. The manga is kind of hard to get regarding the earlier volumes, however I managed to get the first 3 and I need more! Love your vids btw! 💕
i love when you talk about your fave animes and mangas! even though i read a lot of books, my money is mostly spent towards buying mangas xD there are soooo many good ones out there... one of my faves of all time along with the ones you mentioned is "people of the koudai family" it's just pure wholesomeness, not much romance scene but still so cute and funny! every time i reread it, it cheers me up ^^
As a female who doesn't normally like romance or most shojos, I cannot recommend Yona enough. I have recently fell in love with the story - it has everything I like in it - dragons, a girl who matures through her own self-reflection, learns to become stronger and a better person all round, a complex 'villain' who does something bad for very good reasons, political intrigue, a group of loveable characters on an adventure trying to fix the kingdom as they do it and a romance that is so adorable and just perfect that I actually feel something (I cannot stress how rare that is for me, this manga has me getting butterflies every time Hak or Yona do or say something sweet). Also, Yona's development is slow and this is actually better because you really see how she's coming to her conclusions and she isn't good at anything straight away - it makes her believable and realistic. Everything is tough, everything takes time. She isn't a badass fighter on par with the others, but she isn't a delicate snowflake anymore. She is self-aware and motivated to improve. There is no 5-minute training montage and she's suddenly amazing, you see her gradually get a bit better and get more confidence. Yona's story is kind of like if Game of Thrones was just about Danearys (excluding the last 2/3 seasons). There are a lot of similarities between the two characters. When romance is present, I like it to be a slow burn, subtle romance that takes up around 15-20% of a story and has the characters get together. Anime/manga almost never do this in the stories I enjoy because they either want to keep people 'guessing' or don't want to have a character 'officially' with someone as it'll upset shippers, so it just ends up being frustrating if you get even slightly invested in a couple. To get that, you gotta go shojo, which is too romantic for me - I need dark fantasy, sci-fi, or adventure stories. This is why Yona is such a breathe of fresh air. I also like a 'reluctant' romance, where one person is in denial and has to realise their feelings or a person is trying really hard to resist their feelings. This is very specific to me, so almost nowhere does this! I think Rogue and Gambit are the only other 'couple' I can relate that to, but Yona of the Dawn kinda has both. I haven't finished the manga yet, and I can't get hold of the physical copies (but I think i need to because I might need to reread it a lot), but after the anime and ova's, I am totally obsessed with it. Why is there so little merch for it? Why are people not talking about it more? WHY HAS THERE BEEN NO SEASON 2 IN 8 YEARS?
Orange is the only manga I've read so far and it's so so so good. I watched the anime and then read the manga and loved both! Mangas on my tbr: Your Lie In April, Snow White the Red Hair
The one I tell everyone to read...is Komi cant Communicate. Omg this one gets my heart and is so cute. They even just started releasing episodes on Netflix as well! And vol 17 comes out tomorrow!
You should definitely check out qq sweeper and queen's quality . I feel like that would be something you would love to read ^^ Yona of the dawn is just an amazing story , Yona has a great character development
I would recommend A Bride’s Story by Kaoru Mori and Magus of the Library by Izumi Mitsu. A Bride’s Story will take you through several different love stories with a slice of life element and historical background. Magus of the Library is more on the adventure side but the characters grow emotional through travel and their love of books and knowledge. Both series have amazing art!!
I just started watching Yona of the Dawn and I'm LOVING it! It's kind of giving me Snow White with the Red Hair vibes *sort of*, since that is one of my FAVS! I'm up to date with the current volumes, so I can't wait to see your reaction to the new content!
Okay i know it sounds kinda weird but its one of my favorite stories so far : "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun." It has such a beautiful art style and the premise is really fun. It has spirits and some horror aspects that are really well done. The mysteries that are explored are really fun and heartwarming at times. I love most of the characters introduced becuase of their various different personalities and their development over the series. I have most of the volumns but of course the one I need to continue is out of stock.
I've watched Yona of the Dawn the anime like 3 years ago and I've never thought of reading it's manga but ik it has been like my ALL TIME favourite. Right now I'm convinced I WILL be buying the manga soon to start it 😭😭😭

YONA OF THE DAWN WAS MY VERY FIRST ANIME IM SO HAPPY MORE PEOPLE WILL GET TO KNOW IT THROUGH YOU im soo excited
Yona of the dawn is sooo good
It's criminal act that it didn't have a season 2
Hopefully someday it gets its season 2
*Fingers crossed*
YESS IM SO HAPPY TO SEE ANOTHER YONA OF THE DAWN LOVER!!! I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THAT SERIES FOR 2 YEARS NOW AND THE RECENT CHATPER IS GREAT
when your fav youtuber is as obsessed with yona of the dawn as you are!! this made me so happy :’)
yellow dragons story made me sob SO MUCH and I highly recommend haikyu and I would literally scream if you read it because I KNOW you will love it as much as everyone else does
Since You loved YOTD ,I’d recommend :
Waiting for spring
Ao haru ride (the love triangle is really frustrating in this one and there’s miscommunication but overall it’s nice, i’ve read it thrice cuz i have some weird sentimental attachment to this one lol)
ORANGE ( deals a lil bit with suicide but it’s a good romance and friendship manga)
Living room matsunaga san
And Yet, you are so sweet
These shoujo mangas are no where near YOTD for me but I still love em.
And if u want mangas without any or less romance then I’d recommend:
Promised neverland (fantasy - horror/thriller , found family (i luv every character in this. They’re all too precious🤧🤧))
SPY FAMILY (prolly the most hilarious manga i’ve read. It’s my second fav manga after YOTD)
Death Note (this one is def worth reading but it does go downhill after the 3/4 of the series but it’s a psychological, supernatural, mystery)
Waiting for Spring and Orange are so good!!
These are very good manga recommendation
I have read all of them and can vouch for all them
Yona of the dawn was also my first manga for the same reason basically this just made me trust your taste even more
I highly recommend reading Spy x Family!
Oh Yes!!! Spy X Family is such a refreshing new title.
YESSS, my favorite Jump + Title
@@reminiscentoss681 how many volumes are out right now
@@maddenmckenzy3011 sxf has about seven volumes in English out right now.
girl i was watching your book videos years ago, and now you randomly pop up in my feed when im obsessed with manga like omgg, i hope you get more volumes, manga is so fun to read
CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR RECOMMENDING FRUIT'S BASKET. ITSS MY FAVORITE SHOW TOO NOW. CHANGED MY LIFE 😭😭
I remember commenting that you should read Yona of the Dawn when you asked for manga recs. Absolutely thrilled that you ended up getting into it! I’ve been obsessed with the series for a while and I’m still hoping for the day they decide to either remake the series completely or just give us that season 2. Enjoy reading the rest of the story 🥰🙌
AAAAAAA YONA OF THE DAWN i love the series and i am so happy, no one is talking about how good it is😭😭😭
OMG! Someone is finally talking about Yona of the Dawn!!! I loved that series so much and binge watched the whole season in one day. Plus the manga just kept getting better.... omg omg! 🥰😭😭😭😭😭
omggg im ao glad to see you being back to reading 💛 hannah uploading might just be the best post-valentine gift i wil cry
I’ve also recently gotten into manga! I’m on vol. 5 of The Promised Neverland right now & am obsessed, I adored the show (besides the rushed ending) and heard so many people say the manga was better and goes into more detail so I just had to have it.
OMG I WAS THINKING BY MYSELF THAT YOU SHOULD WATCH SNOW WHITE WITH THE RED HAIR BUT YOU ALREADY DID 😭 you are just the best
Lovveeeeeee❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really appreciate all the Yona love in the comments and the video. Like it’s my favorite manga and she’s my absolute favorite character. I first got into the series right when it began to publish in English and have all of the first English editions because I bought them as they were coming out. It’s been years. At the beginning they were always released the first Tuesday of every even (other) month. Now it’s much more irregular because they’ve finally caught up for the most part. And ugghghhh I love it so much. (I think my profile proves that lmao).
The fact that Yona of the Dawn doesn't have a second (and third, fourth etch) season is criminal.
Not sure if this was recommended yet, but Blue Flag is so amazing and heartwarming. There are 8 volumes and I spent much of my time either laughing or crying while reading it. Every character is so lovable, I can’t recommend it enough. 😭
Omg yess its so good!!
I can’t explain to you how happy I get whenever someone starts reading/watching Yona of the Dawn. Welcome the club!!!
I LOVE HORIMIYA SOOO MUCHHHH😭😭 i’m so happy you’re talking about it
AHHHH I ALSO LOVE SNOW WHITE WITH THE HAIR!! THEY'RE SO UNDERRATED! They need loveeeeee moree
I LOVE Fruits Basket! My favorite story of all time!!! I’d never heard of Yona of the Dawn. I will be watching it immediately! I’m excited!
I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY CANNOT STRESS HOW MUCH I RECOMMEND NANA. ITS SOOOO GOOD
As an avid manga reader ever since I was young, you have no idea how long I've waited for this video 😭💖 Now I get to see you and and more people fall in love with the world of manga 😭 I literally could not ask for more 😭 And you falling in love with YONA OF THE DAWN out of all mangas out there (literally one of my favorites out there) just warms my heart 💖💖
Also, I would totally sign your petition for Yona of the Dawn Season 2 because that show not having a second season is such a crime fr
🥰💓
I ADORE the blue dragon with my entire heart and soul
yona of the dawn is literally the source of all my happiness 😭😭
I relate to you so much. I'm also very obsessed with Fruits Basket. It's still my favorite anime to this day. I also love to rewatch things over and over again, and sometimes it's difficult for me to watch other things.
I'm trying to get more into manga. I needed this. I also love Howls Moving Castle and Fruits Basket. I actually just watched Howls Moving Castle with my BF last night. He has never heard of it or the Studios Ghibili movies. He like it.
I absolutely love Yona of the dawn! It’s my favorite anime of all time and I have watched it at least 5 times. I really need to read the manga
It is actually scary to me how we have the EXACT same tastes in anime/manga. I guess I really need to give Yona a try!
Seconding Witch Hat Atelier! So gorgeous and sweet.
Yes!!! I just started reading it recently and it's wonderful, and the art style is SPECTACULAR
The artstyle is so gorgeous! And it has one of my favorite tropes: an ethreally chaotic mentor doing his best to raise four sweet and precocious young apprentices. It's so good!
This^ times one million. Witch Hat Atelier is incredible.
Omg I just picked it up and loved the first volume!
You are a born ambassador to the world of books. I am totally enjoying your recommendations.
another CRIMINALLY underrated manga is “High School Debut!” it’s about a freshman named Haruna Nagashima, and her goal is to get a boyfriend; however, she’s not very girly or conventionally attractive. She runs into the cool, attractive upperclassman named Yoh, and she asks him to be her dating coach, and A LOT of romance ensues😏. It is one of my all time favorite manga because every single time i read it, i’m instantly so happy. i’m in love with it and people please check this out if you like romance/slice of life!!🥰💕
I definitely recommend 'A Silent Voice' (tw! suicide and bullying). But yeah, really good story. Cry everytime.
It IS a crime that we don't have a season 2 for Yona of the Dawn. If you start a petition to get a season 2 then i'll 100% sign!
I’ve had the one on my list for so long! I definitely think I’d like it! thank you for the rec 🥰
yeesss reading manga that gets you out of a slump! the horimiya outro in the anime soo cute🥰
I completely agree with this! Ouran is hilarious and awesome ❤️
You light up my soul, and make my heart happy genuinely.❤️
fruits basket, yona of the dawn, Snow White with the red hair (I only read the first 2 mangas but not the anime) avatar etc. your taste in anime & cartoons is so good
Yona of the Dawn is amazing!!! I love it so much.
YESSSS yona of the dawn is so underrated!!!
You should definitely watch assasination classroom!! It may start off a bit slow BUT it gets so good and the ENDING has you in tears.
i love when you talk about your fave animes and mangas! even though i read a lot of books, my money is mostly spent towards buying mangas xD there are soooo many good ones out there... one of my faves of all time along with the ones you mentioned is "people of the koudai family" it's just pure wholesomeness, not much romance scene but still so cute and funny! every time i reread it, it cheers me up ^^
ohh I’ve never heard of that one, thank you for the recommendation! I’ll add it to my list! 💖
@@AClockworkReader hehe hope you get to read it!
Going through a hard time mentally lately, and your videos feel like home❤
I feel like that would be something you would love to read ^^
Yona of the dawn is just an amazing story , Yona has a great character development
Yona of the Dawn is my fav anime and manga ! I have seen the series 3 times and have many mangas from this story
