    Useful video as mine is sagging in pkaces. Obviously the foam has had it.

    Thank you for this. I'd like to try myself. You list two headliner glues in your recommended tools. Is either recommended or are they both needed for specific elements?

    • @ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs
      @ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I suggest Permatex on VW or Audi models due the board having an oily residue on it. Jaguar would be fine with any of the below glues.
      Buy our glue we use, TensorGrip T65 500ml Can - ebay.us/rysIGV
      Or try these affiliate links to other glues we suggest:
      ▸ Permatex headliner & carpet adhesive ebay.us/apC9ZH
      ▸ 3M High Tac 76 Headliner Glue - ebay.us/eAGTji

    Hey - Just watched your video as I'm planning to replace my S Type 2005MY Roof lining. Can you confirm that you removed the liner from the car without disturbing the A, B and C pillar trims - also that you didn't remove the front seat.?

    • @ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs
      @ReecesAutoHeadliningRepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We reclined the two front seats all the way back, and flexed the headliner board away from the pillars, this can be done on most cars, however taking off pillars generally is not a difficult task, however the plastics can become brittle with age so that's an advantage when we leave pillars intact undisturbed.

      That's just an upholstery skewer we are using to pull out any imperfections/dents/creases in the fabric/board

      Approximately looking at around 445 - 595 for us to do most jaguar headliner removal, recovery and reinstall. Takes approximately 3-6 hours. Plus extra if there's sunroofs involved.
      We are based in Adelaide SA Australia

  • @nicosilva4750
    @nicosilva4750 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You didn't do the sun shade portion. I was unable to get a perfect match for the headliner. It still looks good against the plastic etc., but the sun shade is slightly off. I cannot figure out how to get the sun shade portion out of the car.
