This is really simple and easy and tastes great. I find the smashes have a ton of flavor. What combo would you like me to make?

Pssst... you might want to fix your measurement for the POM in the description. You'll see it. And the reddit thread. 😁

Thank you. I have fixed it in both places. I appreciate the feedback. Is there anything you woulds like to see me make?

@@boozeontherocks Now he puts me on the spot. Gimme some time to think on it. I'll either comment here, another video, or drop a line on Reddit. But something sweet, fruity and/or creamy and not too boozy/spirit forward would make my Missy happy. She likes that. Me, I'm working on a couple of riffs on classics that use bourbon, rye, or Canadian whisky.

When the peaches are in season I make a nice smash with them. 😋 last year made a strawberry 🍓 rhubarb (rhubarb syrup) and boy they disappeared faster then a pie 🥧

You bet. I will definitely do that. I love peaches!!

Love all this boozy content! Smashes are my favorite for that same point you have in your comment - they are so flavourful. For this smash have you tried adding more Canadian spirit to it? I mean replacing honey with good dark maple syrup? Have you thought about making an episode with coconut rum or coconut liqueur, like Malibu? Or maybe, you have one and I've just missed it. Thanks!

Those are all great Ideas. I have done a couple with Malibu. The Deep Blue sea is one. When I was making the smash I kept looking at my maple syrup. and I was so ...... but I tried to stay close to the original recipe. I love using local spirits when I can. I feel they don't get enough recognition.

@@boozeontherocks 100% agree - local brands need more appreciation. Can you recommend any new Canadian whiskey you've recently discovered and it was damn good :)

You could try Gooderham & Worts, Pike Creek, or Glynnevan Double Barrelled. Forty Creek is good. I did recently pick up a bottle of Signal Hill to try.

That’s not bourbon, that’s rye whiskey. Bourbon is corn based (minimum 51% corn), Rye is rye based (minimum 51% rye). Bulleit Rye is 95% Rye and 5% Malt.
Bulleit rye has a green label (like most ryes) and their bourbon has a red-orange label.
    That drink looks good.☺️

Good catch, I missed that at the time, and I just went with it. oh well... The drink is really good though.
