This game has aged like one Hell of a weird tasting but damn fine wine.
Controls, still amazing. Graphics, held up. Music, still amazing. Gameplay, fun but pretty basic by today's standards. Extra Easter eggs, incredible. Story, has some poorly done retcons tbh. Old Snake's struggle, still emotional. Overall, a damn fine game.

Yeah, most of the Metal Gear games were made with a combination of personal perfection and spite for the fans. MGS2 was a giant meta criticism about unnecessary sequels and toxic fandom.

If i were Raiden.....i would be SERIOUSLY pissed at Rose for atleast not dropping hints about the fact that he had a kid before he went and got turned into a cyborg ninja. But...then we wouldn't have had MGR and the DNA of the soul.
By the end of Mgs2 Rose said she was pregnant and this is before Raiden got captured after saving Sunny from the patriots.

Is there a reason Naomi lost her British accent in the years between MGS1 and MGS4?
In the MGS remake Twin Snakes, many characters lost their accents, including Naomi and Mei Ling. I suppose they are following that continuity to a degree.
I figured it had something to do with the fact that she's been living in the US for a long time so her accent started to integrate into what she heard on the daily

this has gotta be one of the most bad ass and emotional boss fights ever. Growing up with metal gear and watching this... Watched my dad beat metal gear solid on ps1 when i was really little. Played and beat it myself after i got a little older and then going to mgs2 then 3. Never played 4 for some reason and I see it has a lot of controversy but personally, I love it. and I love how they brough raiden back for this one. it was a bit jarring when you found out you're playing as him through the majority of mgs2 but you really come to like the guy.

Didn't Big Boss explained that the new FOXDIE that Drebin infected on him killed the old virus and he was not going to become a bioweapon anymore?
Big Boss dis said that the new virus could mutate too, but Snake is going to die soon anyway. That is why in the end Snake quits smoke and goes into a journey and Otacon and Sunny join him.
Yeah, and it's third time a person close to Otacon dies.
@@Anthony-kj6di The new strain did kill the old virus but it's just another strain of FoxDie eventually it'll mutate too. Thanks to Snake's body even after he dies the virus will carry on, even if he did allow Sunny and Octacon to join him they'd eventually be infected too due to exposure. Literally the only choices would be to wait for snake to die from self isolation or suicide and then chemically destroy his body.

These soldiers are the rebels that are fighting the PMCs.
If you start to help the rebels they don't attack you, seeing you as a friend.
