Mind if I ask, where did you get the Star Trek First Contact sheet music for church organ from as I am looking for my wedding and can't find it, just the piano version
0:00 - Star Trek TOS Theme 0:34 - Deep Space 9 Theme 1:48 - First Contact Theme 3:26 - Enterprising Young Men 5:38 - Star Trek Voyager Theme 6:48 - Star Trek The Motion Picture Thanks to @Nicholas Barnard. (I apologise if any of the timing is off.)
Nicholas Barnard actually it’s both The Next Generation and The Motion Picture. The Next Generation just starts different but does have the same medley.
This reminds me of a funeral in 2015 for a dear friend, a science fiction fan...the recessional music was the ST: TOS theme played on the church organ, and it was deeply moving. Live long and prosper.
I have been a Star Trek fan since I was little (I'm 61 now) and I think the one truism regarding Star Trek is that it is a series about living in a better world and also embodies and embraces what a lot of people over the last few years especially have walked away from and that is the idea that we are all members of one race here on earth the human race if you look at the diversity of the crew on board the original series enterprise you had: James T. Kirk is from Riverside, Iowa, commanding officer of the USS Enterprise. Spock from the planet Vulcan is half human/half Vulcan, first officer and science officer. Dr. Leonard McCoy is from Atlanta, Georgia, chief medical officer. Montgomery Scott is from Aberdeen, Scotland, chief engineer. Nyota Uhura from is South Africa (Swahili/Bantu), communications officer. Pavel Chekov is from Russia, navigator and security/tactical officer. Hikaru Sulu who is from San Francisco, California is American-Japanese, helmsman With such a diverse cast representing different places on earth and one from outer space I believe this is just well I think that when it comes to the acceptance of life elsewhere in the Galaxy what I believe is symbol if God created earth and the human species on earth what's to say he didn't do something in the rest of the universe similar to earth just a different group of beings and I think the simplest answer would be to that end it's possible however unlikely to some God created us and the world we live on so it is not unreasonable to hypothesize the possibility of God creating life on other worlds in other parts of the universe and Star Trek I believe embraces that in so many ways.
She did it...my wedding was this weekend (15.10.16) and our organist played 'First Contact'...a childhood dream came true...it was so absolutely stunning...I still have tears in my eyes when I think of it... Thank you very much for giving us the right advice! :-)
+Usodawi Yes, because I wanted people to understand how much you have helped me :-)....and realised that English is the language you should use on TH-cam :-D...
Every part of this medley is goals, from the beginning with the TOS intro riff and DS9 arrangement to the transition to that godly (pun possibly intended) rendition of First Contact theme, with the new Star Trek theme as an interlude, to the Voyager theme with its key shifted up a half step, making it feel dreamier even more upbeat, and ending with the grand finale of the TNG/TMP theme, the golden age of the franchise.
This is exactly what I'd imagine I'd hear every sunday when I go to the Church of Star Trek. TNG 1:1, And Picard said "Make it so", and by Picard's grace, it was made so.
SNW: For it was Pike who said “Punch it” and Ortega who did just that-sending the Enterprise at speeds far beyond what is comprehensible to those of today
Absoluter Hammer....... Super toll gespielt... Respekt..
Welcome to the First Unified Church of Star Trek. If you would, please silence your communicators and take your seats, today's sermon by Reverend Roddenberry will begin shortly. ;)
Daniel Appleton being agnostic and an atheist aren't mutually exclusive. Most atheists identify also as agnostic. An agnostic atheist claims they're not sure if there is a God or cosmic Force but they think the odds are more likely not then yes.
Do you realize how easily would could have all been "Scientologists" or something similar? I mean, who was L.Ron Hubbard but a failed sci-fi writer? If Roddenberry had been a megalomaniac, we might all be a part of some quack religion saluting one another, wearing uniforms and buying memoribelia and ... hey, wait a minute!!!
I honestly come back to this video so often. The enterprising young men has got to be my favourite. Thank you for giving us this compilation yet again.
Thanks you sooo much for this video. After seeing this in 2016 we used "first contact" as the entry song in our wedding. My hidden star trek secret. Not too obvious but beautiful - I think just my brothers noticed it ;-)
You are seriously making love to that organ. You really boldly going where no-one has gone before. All of that piece is just magical, absolutely wonderful. It speaks volumes to me.
I love 1:46 onwards - the "First Contact" theme. With the ST themes being payed on a church organ, I keep thinking about ST V and the question, "Excuse me, I'd just like to ask a question. What does God need with a starship?"
1:48 - 1 Contact 32:11, And Deanna said unto William "This is no time to argue about time. We don't have the time." And William replied to Deanna thusly, "You're drunk." And though Deanna insisted otherwise, face-down did she pass out onto the table mere moments later.
The gospel by Mr Scott... "Allways multiply your expected times by four, show yourself conservatorio on tour estimarse and you'll look as a miracle maker"
Remember the charity proceedings will go to the bajoran reconstruction organization, and yo Jeep a warp corea glowing for our lost brothers of Voyager.
Kommentiere zwar reichlich spät aber nach dem Like musste ich auch was schreiben. Nur was?
Google translation of above publisher's/musician's remarks: Our journey ends in the future, more precisely in the 24th century. On the spaceship US Enterprise we set out on a journey through the universe, with all its dangers and beauties. I put together the medley myself. The following songs are included [see above].
That First Contact version was amazing. Gave me literal chills.
The 1st Contact theme is really moving, thank you.
As an organist and a trekkie, I say thank you. Thank you very much.
I used the First Contact theme as my wedding march back in 2003. I knew it would sound amazing on a church organ and it did!
Mind if I ask, where did you get the Star Trek First Contact sheet music for church organ from as I am looking for my wedding and can't find it, just the piano version
0:00 - Star Trek TOS Theme

Except 6:48 is the theme from The Motion Picture.
Nicholas Barnard actually it’s both The Next Generation and The Motion Picture.
The Next Generation just starts different but does have the same medley.
Looks right. Although I'd say that First Contact starts at 1:39 or 1:40 rather than 1:48.
Jesus, but that First Contact theme tho!
This reminds me of a funeral in 2015 for a dear friend, a science fiction fan...the recessional music was the ST: TOS theme played on the church organ, and it was deeply moving.
Live long and prosper.
I admire this, because (for those who do not know) Star Trek is a series about living in a better world

Wow thank you very much :D
You deserve far more than thumbs up man! Great!
On a side note... that'd be my dream as well!

imagine rewriting the bible as a star trek story
Complexity of such a machine is impressive.
Thank you for The first contact 🖖
Absoluter Hammer....... Super toll gespielt... Respekt..
Fenomenal ! I almost cried
Yes, but.... why does God need a starship?
Paolo Giovanoli I believe the man said, What does GOD NEED with a starship!?
Because God is lazy.
Oh come on Jim, you don't ask the Almighy for his ID!
You haven’t answered his question what does God need with a starship?
@@83nuvola Possibly the only truly good part of that particular movie.
[jesus boldly going in the background]
Okay, but what does God need with a Starship?
I GET IT
Ha!
Good job, mr Data. Carry on.
@Daniel Appleton YES SIR SPOCK
Welcome to the First Unified Church of Star Trek. If you would, please silence your communicators and take your seats, today's sermon by Reverend Roddenberry will begin shortly. ;)
Reverend? no he would be equivalent to the pope or our god
Roland Rio his Holiness Roddenberry
Daniel Appleton being agnostic and an atheist aren't mutually exclusive. Most atheists identify also as agnostic. An agnostic atheist claims they're not sure if there is a God or cosmic Force but they think the odds are more likely not then yes.
I would join that church.
Wow!
The organ seems the ideal instrument for Trekkie music.
Correction: the organ is the ideal instrument for very nearly everything.
I honestly come back to this video so often. The enterprising young men has got to be my favourite. Thank you for giving us this compilation yet again.

What a beautiful story! :) Congratulations for your wedding :)

😃 Gänsehaut pur 😃 🖖
Thank you very much for sharing this. It just turned a bad day good.
Meta Meta4 You're welcome :)
You are seriously making love to that organ. You really boldly going where no-one has gone before. All of that piece is just magical, absolutely wonderful. It speaks volumes to me.
...to boldy improvise what no man has improvised before.
Sehr gelungenes Medley!

Amazing be even better played on a Cathedal organ!
Awesome!!!! 🖖🏽👏🏼
The deep space 9 theme always gets me
DS9 is the best.
Live long and prosper.
There is good in the world...
Verry well played!
This is the most epic version of the themes. Amazing skill. Hats off to ya!

VERY ENGAGING!!!!
Fascinating….. 🖖🏻
Wow! Just Wow! Goosebumps, shivers down my spine and tearing up! Amazing talent.
Wenn ich da zuhöre bekomm ich Gänsehaut. Klasse Interpretation.
Tobias Ehlert and thank there tanks

Alright, I think we need a Star Trek Merry-Go-Round now.
The Kelvin-Timeline music brought a tear to this olde Klingon's eye.
THX From Germany
It suits Voyager theme the best
I honestly can't say which sounded most splendid, I never thought they'd sound so good on the organ, nicely played.
Cant believe I've just found this! Awesome!!
That Voyager Theme made me cry. It was the first Star Trek series i watched and i was hooked on Star Trek ever since.
BEAUTIFUL...............................
Superior. Great idea and great playing.
Gute Arbeit!, mit freundlichen Grüssen aus Mexiko. :D
Danke und Grüße zurück aus Deutschland ;)
I love it!
Give us this day our daily dose of Star Trek...And forgive JJ Abrams, he knows not what he does. Through our Lord, Gene Roddenberry... Amen.
Paul Butcher Abrams didn’t know, but Giacchino definitely did!
this was a great rendition of the star trek themes on the church organ
She schönes Medley.
Star Trek First Contact Theme was written for that organ to be played on!
Wow, das war großartig.
What a beast! Mad props!
Just came across this and it's absolutely fantastic well done.
Belissimo
beautiful
Very....VERY WELL DONE!!!
Du hast sehr gut gespielt.
Is this from the Christine Chapel?
Hey, gefällt mir gut^^
Bin echt neidisch!
Genial.. Danke.
this is pretty good!! I like it!
I especially like your version of First Contact.
Echt toll!!!!!! Ganz grosses lob!!!
great job man!
1:48 - 1 Contact 32:11, And Deanna said unto William "This is no time to argue about time. We don't have the time." And William replied to Deanna thusly, "You're drunk." And though Deanna insisted otherwise, face-down did she pass out onto the table mere moments later.

Were I to be standing anywhere within earshot of that church, I believe I'd find religion.
A Starfleet soul\m/ brava!
wow thanks

Sehr cool :D
Ehrlich mir fehlen die Worte....
Könntest du dazu vllt mal ein Tuto machen?

I put together the medley myself. The following songs are included [see above].
"Sweet Jesus..." - Zephram Cochrane
Sounds like the midi nightmare of a SoundBlaster 16. :D
give me props for being great
1:50 this theme makes me cry every time
When Star Trek meets God
And doesnt suck.
Maybe he's not out there, Bones. Maybe he's right here... human heart.
What does God need with a starship?
Star Trek is God
More like "When you meet Q".
that TNG tho ant that VOY I love this guy he's amaizing
Reverend Picard:Number one setting course for praying. Maximum denying of Mister Worf ENGAGE!!!
This sound good on a church organ.
Playing this sorta stuff is the ONLY way you’ll ever get me in a church.
Wow on a Goddamn church organ
