Most shoot 'em ups put players in the hot-seat of futuristic fighter jets or space ships, but not flying cars.
It was this which drew me to this intriguing arcade blaster, only to leave me thoroughly disappointed by the horrid power-up (or should that be power-down) system.
Picking up crystals upgrades your car's blasting ability, but this decays over time - flashing enemies will drop more crystals when destroyed, but the game often places them in the middle of huge squadrons of other bad guys, making then infuriatingly difficult to get to. You start to get overwhelmed as your shots get weaker and the enemies more numerous, which really doesn't make for a fun gameplay experience.

OMG! I've been going nuts for decades trying to remember the name of this game! I saw it in arcades, and I remembered the weird car-like ship and the diamond bullets, but ever since then I never saw anything that matched what I remembered. So awesome to see it again! Thanks, so much!
The powering down system is a big disappointment which leads to be a one and done experience but this is the precursor of the Aero Fighters/Sonic Wings series. Thanks for the longplay.
I love how the bosses begin with heavy armored mobile units then become fantasy dungeon evil mages, and tops its off with final boss flying Lexus
I believe that this was originally going to be a sequel to Rabbit Punch called Metal Rabbit.
Well the final boss is a evil Lexus car. 😄
An updated 2022 Massive Crossover-SUV-truck sized version of a Lexus!, Was this game trying to advise us about anything???

No idea how you can possibly navigate this game without dying at least 1,000 times, let alone without dying once. Bravo! I'm currently playing this on Switch and getting steamrolled by the enemies (especially the bosses). Even with game interrupt save data I can't come close to your skills!

The weapons are visibly powering down during longer boss fights. I have to agree with the description.. it's rather disappointing.

Complaining about weapon degredation in a shmup? Well you have to understand a car loses 1/3 of it's value the moment you drive it off of the lot.
Also that last boss... don't any of you also have missile sprays coming from your passenger doors. I know I do.
