- Ohio State, Purdue and Rutgers head coaches sit down with Kings of the North on this episode, as players from Wisconsin and Illinois also stop by at Day 1 of Big Ten Media Day in Indianapolis.
Doug Lesmerises and Bill Landis kick off the show with a discussion of how much juice the Big Ten brought to the Tuesday proceedings (not enough).
Then it's off to interviews with:
• Ohio State head coach Ryan Day on why he'll be the best head coach he's ever been. (15:05)
• Purdue head coach Ryan Walters pushing back on the Boilermakers picked to be last in the conference. (26:20)
• Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano explaining why this will be his last job, and not wanting Doug to share his Rutgers record prediction. (36:11)
• Wisconsin tackle Jack Nelson on how fired up Badgers fans are for the Week 3 home game against Alabama. (51:03)
• Illinois defensive players Seth Coleman and Gabe Jacas explaining why they left Florida to play college football in the North. (58:20) - Seth, (1:03:23) - (Gabe)
Thanks for joining Kings of the North, and come back for more coverage the next two days from Big Ten Media Days.
Best episode yet, great interviews.
Love these interviews! Killing it as always
Very impressive interview with Greg Schiano ! Great prep, rapport , insight & flow
I wanna know what Bill and Austin were discussing in the background during Ryan Waters interview. Bill looked flabbergasted.
need 100x more doug/player interviews
Awesome ep
"I have you going 7-2 in the Big Ten" 😂😂 Doug's the best
Appreciate Doug's unique interview style
I think Doug is at his best when he is interviewing.
Lucas Oil completely ripped out the turf before the swim trials. Once it was over, they just installed brand new turf (which was a planned replacement).
The West Coast teams are Northern Affiliates
Ryan Walter’s is easy to root for I hope he gets Purdue back to being relevant.
1:10:04 😂
Purdue is going to be the Big 10 program that picks off someone their not supposed to this year (Oregon, Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State, Notre Dame). I'm a Penn State fan, but that game scares me since it's late in the season in West Lafayette, where Top 10 programs have a history of knocking them off!
Big 10 footballl programs need to keep reminding the SEC that college football and the NFL were northern American creations. The last time Alabama played in the Big 10 team was at Penn State's Beaver Stadium in 2011.
All the people pushing the fake sign stealing scandal 😂
"fake"? The only thing "fake" is Meatchicken's championship.
Fake as hell play football my whole life a team can have your whole playbook you still have to stop them fake
That interview with Shciano was very truthful, kinda cool as a kid that grew up when Rutgers was on the rise I always wondered why he left because he felt like the right fit there and now I know
@@MagentsAreFunhe’s not very smart best not to engage idiots.
Not very smart I just don't fall for bullshit I know football
Limit the child Doug
