Goddag Mikael! I really enjoyed this relaxing video of possibly one of the most beautiful of Tamiya's creations. It's been a while since I built mine and you have just reminded me of what great quality components this car is made from, in the UK it's not that more expensive than a TT02, but you get oil shocks, alloy motor plate, metal bearings, anti-roll bars, steel dogbones and CVDs, turnbuckles, etc. etc! I know you will have enjoyed this build greatly. And all thanks to the amazing RC Elf. Have a great Sunday, my mate! :))
Hi Mark! Yes! This was such a pleasure to build. I know it got some weak spots compared to a TT-02B, but all the upgrade parts are spot on, compared to my old Thunder Shot I remember. And yeah, beautiful. Very beautiful. One of the builds where one is super exited along the way and also at the end, with the final result. I remember your build series and first runs very well. I think you did good choosing another body paint too. Do your gears ‘click’ a little? I am unsure if I did something wrong or they just need to be ‘broken in’ … hope your Sunday is good my good mate

Me too, Rob! I once had a Thunder Shot. Great looking body too. But the Terra really got all the extra parts, compared to the Thunder, that I was missing back then. All is well here my good friend. Busy with work and kids. But now and then I get a few hours late in the evening with the hobby ☺️ Hope all is well with you and yours.

Hiya Mikael. Well first of all hoorah for the Elf for buying you this lovely kit. Nice mellow music and very interesting to see the build process as I have one of these to build. You did a fantastic job on this one my friend. It's funny because when you see the chassis it looks quite boxy and then it is transformed by the beautiful body shell. As I bought the kit myself I'm wondering whether to just have the pleasure of building it without videoing it. Having to do everything for the camera is a palaver as you will know and sometimes it's nice to just build these things and just enjoy it. Anyway I hope all is well. Best wishes to you and yours 🙂

And the Thunder Shot (which I sadly sold some tests ago to finance my Boomerang). It was great to work on this chassis again. And yes, sometimes it’s good to not do it on camera and just enjoy it. I actually manage to do so, when just filming or taking photos at the end of each step, like I did with this one. A real pleasure after filming and editing the whole Super Avante build. All is well here my friend. Grey and rainy. I suspect you have the same weather. Hope all is well. Best to you and yours too my friend.
Very nice, I tempted to get this kit as I like the chassis. I got the Thunder Dragon as it was at such a good price at the time. I like my Boomerang but this chassis is just that bit better.
Hi Mal! Yeah, the Dragon has tempted me quite a bit too. Right now the pre-painted re-release is quite affordable. Love my Boomerang too. But yeah, especially this one, with all the ‘extra’ stuff (universal axles, turn-buckles, ball bearings etc), is quite better.
What a cool buggy and a nice experience seeing it come together! I've always been crazy about those wheels on it, I want a set of the black ones, no idea what car I put them on but I'll definitely buy me some one day... Well presented and pleasant as always, Mikael! I was just shooting some footage, and seeing yours reminds me I need to find my video LED lights, my footage looks grayish yellowish compared to this lovely pure white! I'm going to put a 3600 or a 4600 castle system on mine. I have seen them take 4000 KV without a problem.
